Moonshot. A black knife she found atop her dresser the morning after a full moon. Strapped high on her thigh whenever she frequents the woods, the knife has made her feel secure whenever she wanders the forests or a foreign place. Her skills in physical combat are virtually non-existent, but she’s swift, more so at night, so she somehow manages to make some sort of escape.

• Lunakinesis. Apart from manipulating whatever available moonlight there is so she could better see through her telescope at night, she is completely clueless with the implications of this particular power, especially in potential battles. (Mastery: 2/5)
• Control over plants under the moonlight. She could make flowers bloom under the moonlight so that’s pretty impressive. Against monsters? Not so much. (Mastery 1/5)
• Ability to navigate with the stars. Even before being claimed, she has already shown potential in navigation all thanks to her great interest in astronomy. (Mastery 4/5)

Name: Sarah Iolanthe

Symbol: Sarah’s symbol consists of a wide toothy grin above an upside-down cracked-crown. The teeth are pure white while the crown is colored a deep purple.

Occupation: First-year Atlas Student.

Appearance: Sarah is a fairly tall woman, standing at a full 5ft 10’. Her black hair is kept in a well-maintained ponytail that goes just beyond her should blades. Her typical attire consists of a pair of dark blue sneakers, black pants, a pouch for supplies kept on her right shin, an oversized magenta shirt with her symbol on her stomach, and a blue and gold chain necklace.

She has a long black cat tail, on which she has 3 purple rings.

She carries her katars on each leg.

History: Sarah Iolanthe grew up in a well-protected village in Menagerie. While generally a peaceful village, they had their share of Grimm problems. As not a lot of hunters move to Menagerie, the towns have to wait for the hunters that are there to eventually answer their job postings.

From a young age, she saw how most people around her weren’t truly happy, either fear of the Grimm or the weight of the world pushing them down. She decided it was up to her to cheer them up, puppet shows and story time for the young, nondestructive pranks for the teens, and being of any help she could for the adults and elderly. At the age of 12, she grew to admire a huntress that had been taking on jobs in her village, and it was after she decided that’s what she wanted to do with her life that she asked her to unlock her aura.

She started taking on some of the less difficult hunter jobs in her area, using them to hone her skills until she was ready to apply for Atlas.

Personality: Sarah highly values creativity. In a world that can easily drag one into a deep depression, or cause some to simply give up all hope, she believes that spreading new forms of art, entertaining stories, hilarious pranks, and other forms of creative freedom is the key to saving humanity.

This does not, however, cause her to ignore the value in structure and “function over form”. This has led her to attend Atlas, to better learn how to fuse the two ideologies. Being very outgoing, she loves to help lighten the mood of anyone around her and offer a helping hand to anyone who looks like they need it.

Hey, hopefully, this isn't considered spam. I'm a member of an amateur Gilbert and Sullivan society and we are about to start our 2017-2018 recruitment season. I thought this would be a good place to post in case anyone has interest in joining a G&S production. Please feel free to message me with any questions.

If you live in or around the Philadelphia area and are interested in joining a Gilbert and Sullivan group, consider the Savoy Company. We were founded in 1901 and continue to perform one G&S operetta every year. This year's production will be Iolanthe.

We are always looking for people interested in onstage and backstage and encourage anyone interested to attend. Please note, you must be 21 or older to join our group.

Iolanthe is a Gilbert and Sullivan musical about fairies, lovers, and Victorian-era British peers. It is a fun musical show with all kinds of topical jokes, including recent news events relating to the House of Commons and the Senate. Dancing and singing with an orchestra in a lighthearted way and fun for the whole family.

The performance will be at Cedarview Alliance Church (Cedarview just past Fallowfield), Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at http://ottawasavoysociety.org/iolanthe-tickets/

I have a minor lead role in the show and we've been working very hard to ensure that it will be a fantastic show. I hope that many of you will come out to support us and enjoy what we've prepared!

##About Iolanthe

Iolanthe is the seventh of fourteen operatic collaborations by Gilbert and Sullivan. It is a fabulous show filled with fantastic music and clever comedy and was very successful upon its initial release. For a full synopsis, head on over to the Wikipedia page. My little girl Iolanthe getting her weekly spaz out in the dig box i made for her using long grain rice. As a safety note, if you do this yourself, use NORMAL long grain rice. No instant/quick cook stuff, it can cause blockages if they eat that stuff. Theres about 10lbs of Rice in the bin. I replace it every 6 months.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
