A list of puns related to "Interstate 43"
Ok, so hear me out. We will take the eagles as the team for demonstration.
Eagles get a Friday night match in Vic. They fly out from Perth on the Thursday morning, then play the match Friday. Then a 5 day break / training camp before playing a Thursday night match. They then fly home on Thursday night after the match (I think it's quite common to fly out a few hours after the match)
In total, Eagles have played 2 matches AWAY, whilst only being away from home/families/own bed for 7 nights. So they have 'banked' an extra home game.
Now, let's look at their 'potential' fixture for the next 6 weeks.
HOME EAGLES V INTERSTATE SATURDAY - OPTUS
HOME EAGLES V INTERSTATE TEAM SATURDAY (BANKED AWAY GAME) - OPTUS
HOME EAGLES V INTERSTATE SATURDAY - OPTUS
AWAY GAME V FREMANTLE SATURDAY - OPTUS
HOME EAGLES V INTERSTATE SATURDAY - OPTUS
AWAY > TRAVEL OUT > INTERSTATE GAME SATURDAY -
This would give the Eagles approx 43 days without travel, just by playing two trips on the road.
You could even incorporate this to happen before/after the bye giving them an extra 7-10 days at home.
Yes, they're getting 2 'marquee' matches in a row but is Thursday really marquee ? Plus it gives other interstate teams more exposure, eg freo getting a friday then thurs game.
It's not THAT hard to incorporate into a fixture surely. The Canadian super computer can work it out.
Anyway, just a thought. Thanks for listening.
I will heading to the game today (leaving around noon) and wondering about road conditions. I am traveling from the Lake Geneva area and taking 43N all the way up. The WiDOT shows clear roads, but thought I'd ask. Looks like a chance of snow tonight starting around 9pm. Thanks in advance. GO PACK!
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Hey everyone,
As the title says, I'm not a trucker, though we are currently traveling indefinitely in our 43' tag axle diesel pusher (44k lbs, no trailer). Let's be real, many RVers are complete morons and have no business being on the road. I don't like being lumped in with them, but it is what it is. Please help me not be one of them.
What common mistakes, assumptions etc do you see RVers make, that are big no-nos in the trucking world? Anything you wish every RVer knew, that would make the lives of everyone on the road safer and more enjoyable?
Tbh, it feels like the semis run the interstates when it comes to general tempo and safety, not the cops. Given the size of our coach, we end up in line with, or around, semis constantly when it comes to parking, truck stops, passing lanes, turn outs etc... it basically feels like I always need to fall in line with the semis, but I feel like I stand out as a private coach and truckers are just waiting for me to get in the way.
FWIW I'm not here for tips on how to handle the big wheelbase and what not, just general big rig road safety so I can stay out the way. I've driven diesel box trucks around cities for work for years, but nothing this heavy, for so long, on interstates. I'm more worried about knowing the things that apply to truck stops, interstate etiquette, passing etc that are often overlooked by RVers.
Thanks in advance and thanks for all you do out there!

It was September 14th, 1977 when a Waukesha County Sheriff deputy was parked alongside Interstate 94 when a car flew past him. The deputy caught up to the vehicle to pull it over. The driver exited onto Golf Road and attempted to evade the deputy at a high rate of speed. The driver approached the intersection of Golf Road and County Road SS (potentially Prospect Avenue today.)
The driver lost control of his vehicle here and rolled into a wooded area near this intersection. No other vehicles were involved in this incident and the driver appeared to be the only person in the car. The deputy found the vehicle upside down, and found the deceased driver twenty-five feet away. Further investigation found that John Doe's vehicle had been stolen from Gurnee, Illinois, roughly 67 miles southeast of the accident site.
Interesting items found in the vehicle included a Waltham wrist watch, 3 sets of keys, several bags of women's clothes, cash inside a wallet, an envelope with the name Scott written on it containing unidentified pills, and a cigarette lighter with the inscription "To John, love Lauri."
Also in his personal effects were some notes including:
"Belmot Kedzie 2814 (or 2.814)"
An ad for Johhny's Mobile Home Sales
"Employment Office 2860 N. Lincoln No hiring done here"
"Lincolln" and a circular squiggle
"Riddell Inc 1151 W . Roscoe"
Other unspecified items supposedly bore the name "John."
The man who came to be known as Delafield John Doe was a white male estimated to be between 17-30 years old. Fast forward to 2015, and John Doe's DNA is finally collected. The medical examiner's office presented the case to the DNA Doe Project. Sometime in 2021, a family member was identified. The DNA match was made with the Joh

As you can see in the transcript and slides below Microvast has released a significant amount of new information on upcoming products (Silicon and Solid State Batteries for example).
We know that also in the Q3 earnings call, CEO Wu told us that two new products will be announced in Q1, but this is a lot more information on those released for the first time.
This presentation below is updates from a IRSEC (International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference) where the Chief Technology Officer Dr,. Wenjuan Mattis presented a wealth of new information.
I'll leave it all here for you in the detail below, but for some of you that don't want to read and look at the detail that I put together in order to share this with you, here are five of the top things:
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.
I won't be doing that today!

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
There hasn't been a post all year!
Or would that be too forward thinking?
