A list of puns related to "International Standard Book Number"
So I went to my local Half Priced Books and found a bunch of Goosebumps books marked down to a dollar. I grabbed about 10 that I had read as a kid but there were some they didn't have so now that I'm on a kick I figure I'd buy the few they didn't have on ebay.
I'm worried though because a couple years ago I bought some YuGiOh cards I had as a kid (I get nostalgic sometimes :) ) and although the picture on Ebay had the artwork I was looking for, sometimes I would get different artwork from a newer printing. I later learned YuGiOh cards are from different sets and there are little codes under the artwork so that you can buy a specific card from that set.
When I get the Goosebumps books I want to read them and enjoy some good nostalgia and memories but a part of that for me is the excellent artwork on the covers. I want to go back to my bookshelf every halloween and flick through the old covers that used to capture my imagination as a kid. What I'm saying is the covers to the books are important to me.
Does the ISBN on a book have anything to do with what printing it is? I just want the artwork from the original series is what I'm saying.
I will be booking an international flight for March but my passport expires in June (can't fly international withing 6 months of expiry). I may need to book a ticket now but my new passport will be issued during the 2nd week of January.
Would my ticket be valid with my previous passport number?
For context I ordered the product (2 dnd books) on July 20th, and it says its expected delivery is 30 July- 9 Aug, and its still not here so I asked for a refund and nothing yet, does anyone have a solution or someone in charge of delivery in amman to call
P.s it dosent tell me anything about delivery or what company delivered the product
At a simple glance C8H18+13.5O2=8CO2+9H2O, or 14.5 gas molecules into 17 gas molecules. Is this the greater cause of pressure in the cylinder, or the heat given off and the resulting expansion (roughly online with the ideal gas law)?
Computershare has a dedicated international number just for Gamestop DRS requests. I got through multiple times without having to hold to expedite my letter and pin after DRSing through a broker. Judging by the accent the call centre is in the UK.
The advisor told me that theyβre receiving non-stop calls from people DRSing for the first time.
Thatβs one line with multiple call centre operators taking calls to create DRS accounts non-stop!!! The momentum is not slowing.
The sweet thing is that after setting up an account you donβt even need to call Computershare to DRS your other GME shares. Which means theres a heaving mass of DRS requests taking place from new and old accounts constantly.
Personally, I donβt trust TD Ameritrade or other brokers not to fuck me during a squeeze or broker bankruptcies - so Iβm DRSing as an insurance policy to ACTUALLY OWN MY SHARES.
This doesnβt mean you should be a bystander and not DRS - the Gamestop float is far from being locked and needs every share possible.
As investors we all make individual decisions! LFG.

Here is the link to the ACGME's proposed changes to FM training. Some highlights
EDIT 2 - copy/paste verbatim some of the highlights
As an FM intern I find this a bit interesting. I wonder if this is an attempt to reduce FM scope thru training, as how FM scope is being reduced in practice. I wonder if these changes hurt more broader spec FM hopefuls.
EDIT 1 - A good summary PDF of the above changes, much easier to read [https://www.acgme.org/globalassets/pfassets/reviewandcomment/120_familymedicine-_2021-12_impact.pdf?fbclid=IwAR0uNjvWm4AAn1CHM5Uam9SEhF9AswpzbugdbV-WnwOKPkg3BwrZdiEya4E](https://www.acgme.org/globalassets/pfassets/reviewandcomment/120_familymedicine-_2021-12_impact.pdf?fbclid=IwAR0u
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've seen on a couple travel Belize websites as well as a notice from the Belize Press Office that state international travelers are required to stay at an "approved hotel or tourist accommodationβ, defined as a hotel or tourist accommodation that certified as Gold Standard. Is this something that is enforced? We are currently booked at an Airbnb that I'm not seeing on any of the Gold Standard lists.
I am working on an idea I had concerning SI cartridges or converters. Is there anywhere I can go to find this standard/the measurements that go into the standard?
N95, KF94, and FFP2 are international respirator standards that are enforced . The root problem with the KN95 standard is that it's a self enforced standard, meaning there is no oversight and it's up to the manufacture to determine if they are following the standards of the KN95.
The KN95 standard itself doesn't require any government or 3rd party validation. Any manufacturer of KN95 respirators can self-certify and slap a KN95 stamp on their products.
The N95 standard requires testing and certification by NIOSH.
The KF94 standard requires testing and certification by the KMFDS.
The FFP2 standard requires testing and certification by an accredited 3rd party lab with oversight from notified bodies.
The FFP2 is a bit more complicated so here is a good summary
A Notified Body is an organization that is designated by an EU member state (or a state that has a Mutual Recognition Agreement with the EU) to assess product conformity with EU legislation, i.e. ensure that the products meet the criteria they need to, in order to be allowed in the market. This often involves issuing a certificate.
A testing laboratory, on the other hand, carries out the required tests on products, often on behalf of a Notified Body. Sometimes a testing lab and a Notified Body can coexist under the same roof, even though they are two different entities. There are also Notified Bodies that do not organize testing themselves, but ask applicants for a test report from an accredited laboratory.

In 1865, a Monetary Convention established what came to be be known as the Latin Monetary Union ("LMU"), initially including France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Italy. It was not a political union, but rather a limited agreement to standardize gold and silver coinage. The United States was interested in the idea, but its interest never came to fruition. What follows is the story of how and why. I was unable to find an academic paper on this specific topic. So this is based on original sources whereever possible and will be updated as more are uncovered.
In 1867, 19 nations with a combined population of 320 million were invited to an international monetary conference in Paris that was a follow-up to the 1865 convention that established the LMU. The United States was keen on the idea of standardized coinage. In a letter to the U.S. delegation, William Seward (the U.S. Secretary of State) said of the conference:
>... this government, both in its legislative and executive departments, has repeatedly manifested its interest in the question of international unification of monetary standards; that the importance of a standard unit of equal value in all commercial countries for the uses of account and currency is fully recognized and appreciated
In 1867, the U.S. delegation reported that the French Emperor (Napoleon III) was eager to find ways to accommodate the U.S. so that they might join the international monetary standard. A sub-committee of the conference proposed that " a gold piece of twenty-five francs, and that the government of the United States, in its future issues, shall reduce the weight of the gold dollar to the value of five francs, and shall bring its other gold coinage to the same standard." (May 1867 here. And later in July 1867.) The U.S. delegation to the 1857 conference recommended that the U.S. half eagle ($5) be modified to correspond to the LMU standard. France would, in turn, mint a 25 francs coin (a g

It was completed on October 29. I have since waited for the first letter to arrive. I became increasingly worried and decided to call Computershare.
I had a nice talk with a lady from the UK. They call their helpline the βGamestop Helplineβ haha. She confirmed my identity and told me the letter is on its way. I felt relieved knowing that I had done nothing wrong on my part. She offered to send me a copy of the letter from the UK free of charge since they seem to be having some delay with the DRS-letters from the US. She didnβt tell me why, it is anyoneβs guess. She told me that my US-letter might arrive in the next days but sheβs sending a copy now anyway.
So just in case you wonder why apes donβt DRS: I, for my part, am really trying to, but it f*ing is taking forever.
