I just got my first guitar, so Iβm still naive when it comes to knowledge of the instrument. I see people will shit on Kirk because he uses a wah pedal, but he sounds good to me. Is he actually a βbadβ guitarist, or is he actually really good? Wrong subreddit to post on if i wanted unbiased results tho lol.

Today I learned that Kirk Hammett provided the guitars for the Orbital track SATAN which featured on the soundtrack for the movie SPAWN.

Orbital are a well known and prominent English Techno/Electronic music duo (brothers, actually) who have produced a lot of very popular material over the years. Chime is probably their most famous track.

I've been wondering what song kirk is playing at the beginning of the guitar center video. It sounds familiar but me and a couple friends were unable to identify it. I would assume it's not in any song, but he says that he hopes he gets it right every time they play it, which makes it seem like they play it live frequently. Any clue what song it's from?
Iβm in the market for a wah pedal and I canβt decide if I should get the Kirk hammett signature pedal or just a normal one. I want to play Metallica and have kirks tone but do I need his pedal to get it or will a regular one work fine? Is his pedal worth the extra money?
