A list of puns related to "Habitat Restoration"
Hello, I'm an LA with 5 years of experience and want to switch things up from building townhomes and SFR Neighborhoods. I have been searching online for jobs involving environmental restoration and habitat restoration and have found little of the sort. Am I not using the right terms? Are there organizations that show job listings in the particular field per chance? Or are there just not as many of these kinds out there? It would just be nicce to work for a company that restore and rebuilds our planet for once rather than tearing everything up. Any help is appreciated. Thank You
Edit: To clarify more- Can LA's be qualified for such type of work as stated? If not with just a License, are there additional certifications one can recieve to enhance my resume to be a fit for habitat restoration?
Those that are in the habitat restoration area of environmental engineering, what is your job like? Like day-to-day, pay, and overall projects. Iβm a junior in environmental and ecological engineering and this is what Iβm heading towards.
This is a place for posting projects, information about a project, or general progress towards restoring a habitat.
I felt like making this place, because I want everyone to come together and see some hope for the planet's future. Place suggestions in the comment section if you wish.
I'm a student at UC Davis currently studying for my Env Sci and Management degree. I'm looking to get into fields relating to land restoration or conservation, so I'm writing an industry trend report to check out the horizons of the industry. If anyone here familiar with any related industry has any advice, I would immensely appreciate any input.
How does one usually enter the field of restoration after getting a degree?
Is there anything someone still in school should do to boost their chances in getting into the field other than try to find internships with people doing similar work? Should they study something specific that is not commonly found that employers want?
How would you describe the present and future trends of the restoration/conservation/env sci industry? I think that this sort of work would be needed more in the future, but I'm not so sure that demand will rise to match (I could be wrong).
If someone were to get into this industry right now what should they expect to see? How good have employment prospects been for you? Is it a bad time to get into this field?
Do you expect a grim or exciting future for new environmental scientists?
I have a ton more questions, but I don't want to overwhelm the post. I love studying environmental science but I haven't considered the industry after graduation as much since I've been focusing on my studies. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I have several books and things such as NVC classification and the odd plant/animal ID book but im looking for more reccomendations, especially things like peat management and anything else you think helps you in your work. Thanks in advance!
