Guildford Puns

As per title. I’ve seen him for a few years walking the same route around the Guildford area. The first time I saw him was him having padding on his left foot, which I assumed he had injured. They look like small boxes. After a year or so then I noticed they’re on both feet now. I always see him walking and walking. I will approach him one day and ask if he needs help, but it got me thinking, that if he’s been there for years and his foot is getting worse, aren’t there any help available for people like that? Isn’t there a number I can call so they can check up on him and to take care of him?

It’s so sad to see but I’m just one person and I wish there was more I could do.

My daughter just told me there is a large RCMP convergence at Guildford Mall with at least 15 cars. Officers can be seen running with C8 carbine rifles.

Just taking a stroll through my old memories. What year did that store open? And what was it before? Or did it get built for T&T? My Googling has failed me.

Hi so as the title says I'm (m24) moving to Guildford around the middle of January for work (30k a year) , this is the first time I am going to be living on my own. My job location is inside the town centre and I'm looking at spending a max of 1k a month on rent, just wondering if anyone could help me out with some advice, is it worth looking a town's outside of Guildford and commuting in every day and if so what towns are good and which should be avoided and is there anything else I should be aware of? Been scratching my head trying to make some varied rides. This is one pieced together from a few of my regular river and urban rides as I live in the area (Caversham)

Meeting 6:30pm at Bayswater Train Station carpark here:

We'll cross Garrett road bridge, and head East past Ascot racecourse, then work our way NE along the river, through Garvey Park, and along some quiet country bike paths, til we pop out on Great Eastern Highway, just south of Guildford.

We'll take some quiet paths and roads up to Woodbridge train station, where we'll pick up the great Eastern Highway bike path, then it should be an easy ride past Guidlford/Bassendean, Ashfield and back to Bayswater. Approx 24km, and a pretty varied route.

I suggest a pint at the Bayswater Hotel at the end, which is right next to the carpark we started from. There's space to lock/overlook the bikes at the alfresco out the front.

I've called in advance, and they said they serve food til 9pm.

They do a pretty good value all-you-can-eat buffet here for $30, and even though we probably won't have time for it this time, it's worth poking your head in to have a look.
