TIL that after the great Hanshin Earthquake of 1995, the Akashi KaikyΕ Bridge needed to be extended a full meter before construction was completed. It opened in 1998 as the longest suspension bridge in the world at 1991 meters.

Good morning! Today is 22 years since the Great Hanshin Awaji earthquake that occurred on January 17, 1995. I remember pictures of that time and pictures on TV. I quit colored pencil drawing after the earthquake. When I began drawing again in 2014 I was shocked by myself who was bad.
