A list of puns related to "Graphic Journalism"
Hey what's up, I'm a member of EyeCandy Film Journal. We're an annually published student-run media studies publication and platform at UCSC. Along with our journal, we have a blog where our members write shorter posts about all types of media criticism (eyecandyfilmjournal.org, although it's down right now). We'll be having weekly club meetings in the fall and an actual class you can take for credit in the winter, where you can choose to write or design an article.
If you want to learn more, come say hi at Cornucopia! Our time slot is from 4:35-5:05, hope to see you there.

I know that it's still not the biggest part ( and as most of my collection is not here it's far from it, but I see a real change, what do you think ? he is only me or is it because the genre is expanding with very good titles ? Have you those type of GN too ?
Long story short: I canβt find much online for job descriptions for those that use GIS for graphics at news organizations. I love the maps that they put out and the stories behind them. Is the market for those jobs super competitive? I know they donβt have someone specifically for GIS. What skill sets besides GIS do they look for?
So my degree is in communications/public relations/journalism, but I've found I don't love working in communication, particularly doing all the creative services like graphic design and photography. I can do it at a basic level, but my skillset is nowhere near a passionate and dedicated graphic artist or photographer.
I currently work at a university, so getting a master's degree if part-time options are available means I could potentially get the degree for free. I just don't know what I'd like to do because anything else that's not communication/PR requires experience to get in the door.
Gotta decide by tomorrow, they both require the same number of credits Except I might be able to do away with one of the necessary classes for computer science (but probably not)
It's my last year of University and that means that there won't be practically any school. So I decided to look for a proper job that would pay the bills. I've been recently been hiting many dead ends, even though I want to work full-time. So I decided to turn to reddit, that maybe someone would see it and maybe help me out. I've been studying Journalism and PR for the last three years and Landscape architecture for the last year. These are the areas where I would like to find a job the most. The second best thing would be something in the area of Graphic design. I've uploaded my portfolio HERE. But if that wouldn't do I would be ready to do any kind of work, beginning with grunt work to be sitting in an office punching numbers into spreadsheets to sitting behind a counter and helping customers with whatever assistance they may need.
You can find my resume here. Feel free to contact me by any method included in the resume or by PM here. If my comment history is any indication, I'm typically on reddit when I'm not out during the day. Looking forward to hearing from you.
