In the galaxies of the known universe, the Dozen Wreath of the Zudrian Empire represents a superpower that had dominated the known galaxies for a straight millennium. Thanks to powerful warriors and an iron will, the Zudrian race broke free of the Cordiserian Empire, who had previously lorded over and held Zudra as a puppet regime. After breaking free, the Zudrians went on to forge their own destiny within their home galaxy, the giant elliptical Cordas Galaxy, and crafted an empire that would eventually rival their former overlords. Needless to say, wars ravaged the Cordas Galaxy to such an extent that intergalactic travel would be necessary, and was achieved through the interdimensional Magflumen route, a class of wormhole that reduced travel times by a significant margin.
For a time, the Zudrian imperium was prosperous; though a feudal system existed as a result of individualist culture, social mobility was as easy as joining the military. Those who accomplished feats during wars would ascend the rankings of society. However, this meritocracy would eventually come to eat itself; those at the highest echelons of Zudrian society gradually lost interest in maintaining meritocracy, preferring to mingle amongst themselves instead of newer persons. Furthermore, the acquisition of property in either planetary land or celestial objects, consolidated power within the hands of a shrinking minority of families. These families would go on to pass laws that restricted the mobility of the lower castes, smashing the egg of competition before it could hatch. Thus, over a gradual period of time, the Zudrian constitutional monarchy gradually descended into totalitarianism.
The number twelve and the wreath are a symbol of sickening irony to many; the number symbolizes perfection and yet the Zudrian imperium is the cause of genocides, slavery, state-sanctioned poverty, and even more atrocities across the universe. To make matters worse, the terror of the Zudrian Empire spread to other galaxies, with the Cruvelian Spiral Galaxy being amongst the harshest hit victims.
To Zudra, the Dozen Wreath may mean the perfection and endurance of their nation through the fury of angry gods and rival nations; but to countless other races and cultures, the Dozen Wreath is the emblem of a malignant superpower that inflicted immeasurab
