[CLAIM] United Kingdom of Great Britain
##Lore
##Map
##Family Tree
In the name of Our Lord, King Charles IV rules the United Kingdom of Great Britain with a very precarious system. The Monarchy has more dominance than they've ever had in the past two centuries with the United Kingdom appearing more of a mockery of that from the 1700's. Parliament is dominated by two houses, the House of Commons and the House of Lords with the majority party being the Cavalier Party. Pro-Monarchists who have been staunch supporters of the King for the past century, numerous members being absolutionists.
King Charles IV with his heir Prince Richard (to be Richard IV) reigns in the nation. The young Richard is a sturdy young man whose pace is dependent on those around him. In a Court full of intrigue and spies, conquest and domination, will the Prince succeed his Father and his ancestors into a full dream of British Glory or will they finally fall into the history books as many other Kings and Queens before them?

/u/Youmaton
Speaker,
On the morning of the third of January as I stood upon the steps of 10 Downing Street I made a vow to this nation, a commitment to its people, and a pledge to action that I have not forgotten one moment of my tenure. This oath outlined two goals that I would do everything in my power to achieve in the time left in this term, two goals to ensure this country is moving in the right direction by the time the sun sets on this parliamentary term. To the people I promised two things, that a budget would be drafted and passed through the parliament, and that we would achieve a future trade deal with the European Union and have it passed by the Commons, thus ending one of the most tumultuous eras in our political history. Many were shocked upon finding out that we had held our promise firm on the budget, and I am now absolutely honoured to say that promise number two is now in motion. I do hope that no pundits have made bookings for the consumption of attire, as this government never backs down on these promises.
Brexit. Will. Be. Done.
After so many long years, after such division has swept our nation and rattled the very fabric of our union

YSK the difference between England the country inside of Great Britain the Island inside of the United Kingdom the nation-state inside the island group of the British Isles
Why YSK: A lot of people, especially in America, use these four things interchangeably, but it's important to know the difference because there are people and countries involved that are NOT interchangeable. Someone actually just got this wrong on Final Jeopardy! today by putting GB when she meant UK, and it cost her thousands of dollars. But mostly YSK so you can be polite to people from these areas.
For instance, someone in Northern Ireland is in the British Isles and the UK, but not in Great Britain or England.
If Scotland leaves the union, it means they are leaving the United Kingdom to become an independent nation-state. (They are already a unique country within the UK). But they will still be part of Great Britain because that's the island itself.
So it goes:
England: a country in the southern part of the isle of Great Britain
Great Britain: the island on which England, Scotland, and Wales reside
UK: the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which includes England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, which are four different countries but one nation-state
The British Isles: all of the Islands around Great Britain, including the isle of Ireland, which is partly UK and partly independent Ireland
