The guy manning the dessert station in my cafeteria got his coworker good with this one.

Worker 1: Hey, you better watch out, I can't be trusted.

Worker 2: Why's that?

Worker 1: Because I'm desserting everyone!

Betting on the man jumping off a ledge

Two clowns were watching the late evening news. The current news story was about a man up on a ledge and threatening to jump. The station then cut to a commercial.

The first clown said, β€œI bet you $20 he’s going to jump.”

The second clown repliedΒ  β€œOkay, it’s a bet!”

(Back to newscast.) The man jumped.

The second clown, being a good sport, pulled out a twenty dollar bill and handed it to the other clown. β€œOkay. Here’s my $20.”

However, the first clown refused, saying β€œNo, I can’t take it.”

The second clown replied, β€œI insist. I lost the bet fair and square.”

The first clown said, β€œI have a confession to make. I saw the same thing on the 6:00 news and knew he jumped. So it wasn’t really a fair bet.”

But the second clown replied, β€œI know. I saw the same newscast. But I didn’t think he would be stupid enough to jump twice!”

I didn't even look up from my desk.

Dropped this on a co-worker just now.

Them: ".. yeah and why do we even have to pay for air at the gas stations, we never used to."

Me: Well it's due to inflation.

I am confident I've seen this joke on reddit before, just happy I was able to execute it as good as possible. I got tingly when the conversation was heading this way and she dropped the perfect setup line. Grateful I've seen it before, pass it on and use it wisely.

So my Dad just dropped this one on me...

My Dad has been staying with me for the past few days because his heat went out and I don't want him to become a dadscicle, and I've been up to my armpits in Dad jokes. This one was especially good, I thought.

Dad: "I'm going to run down to the gas station, do you need anything?"

Me: "No, I'm fine."

Dad: "Candy bar?"

Me: "Nope, I'm good."

Dad: "Henway?"

Me: "What's a henway?"

Dad: "Oh, about 3 and half pounds."

a coworker of mine had to pick up his son whose car had stalled at a Murphy's gas station. It was the second time he had stalled there.

He told his son "you shouldn't come here any more" his son said "why?" "because murphy's law seems to be working here.

that would be good enough but then they started talking about murphys law and other laws like moores law etc.

Then his son said "thats like Coe's Law" My friend said "Whats Coe's Law?" His son said "Its shredded cabbage mixed with dressing and spices"

Got dad joked by a stranger at Home Depot possibly my future self

As I was leaving the Home Depot today an elderly man likely in his 70's approached me and said,

"Hey young man I want to tell you something, you how they always see bees flying around gas stations?"

I didn't but I wanted to leave so I said "yes"

He says "Well they found out the bees are using the bathroom while they're flying around the gas station... And you know what their favorite gas station is?"

I say "Ummm nope"

He says "BP! Bee pee! You get it!"

I got a good laugh at that one and for some strange reason I feel that some number of years from now I will be trolling the Home Depot parking lot making Bee Pee jokes and someone will send me back in time to save dad joking for future generations and I will tell myself that joke for the first time today...

Guess who?

In the car my dad and I were listening to a classic rock station, and he asked me to guess who was playing on the station, I said I don't know, and he replied "Guess Who?" I took this as an invitation to guess, but I really had no clue. This continued for a good 20 minutes before he finally got tired of it and told me the band was The Guess Who.

My Chinese girlfriend will make a great dad someday

We are on holiday in Malaysia and she has started to grow beyond merely appreciating good jokes.

In the car, as we're starting to make speed I tell her I'm closing the windows so she should turn on the a/c. She then shouts: "Heyyy, the a/c was on all the time!" Me: "It's cool." She laughs; we happy.

Fast forward twenty minutes to the gas station. We're outside eating our icecream when I shout: "Baby look at my icecream, it's smoking!" She grins and has that evil twinkle in her eyes that seperates the dads from the fathers, and says: "It's cool." Our future kids are in for a treat.

Just dad-joked my boss, and I'm pretty darned proud of myself.

We have the old-rock radio station playing in our office and I was mockingly humming along to the tunes of one of the songs.

Then my supervisor says, "Oh I know you are not making fun of Def Leppard."

"It's not like they would be able to hear me if I was." I replied.

No one laughed, but the manager walked out of his office to say, "Come on guys, you have to admit that one was good."
