Was going partying but at the end i had to stay home alone so I devastatedly painted some lines of k. It all started with butterfly 3001 from King gizzard and then talking heads 77', two of my fav things ever, i was already pretty hyped Up(modern dance or too Many Coke at 3am(?)). But then i blasted some Bach, full manic attack, doing three lines at a time, crying dying and believing to be god at the same time, little breaks in my moral telling me to be a sociopath. Life changing.

Lang Lang is currently on tour, performing the Goldberg Variations with stops in the USA and Europe. Has anyone been to a recital? What did you think of the performance?
This was the first recital I saw since the pandemic started, and while I don’t always agree with Lang Lang’s interpretation choices (esp. with Bach), I have to say that experiencing this towering masterwork in person with an auditorium full of fellow music lovers was an amazing experience. He took the opportunity to use the repeats to cast new light on each section by emphasizing different voices and adding his own ornamentation. Again while I didn’t always like his choices, the devotion to the work was clear and I felt absolutely lifted after the performance. Thank you Lang Lang and thank you Sebastian for BVW 988 ❤️

What’s the best version of the goldberg variations? I’ve listened to some of the hantaï version but i didn’t like it much, any other recommendations would help, thanks
