Hypothesis: the 21st century is under the direct control of a Qlipphotic ritual, enacted between 1945 and 2001.

[Edited from a Discord chat, crossposted to r/conspiracy]

I have a super wacky narrative to share, about the new Aeon, non-human occult influences on geopolitics, and the history of the United States from 1945 - 2001.

The Narrative

The 55 years between 1945 and 2001 were an elaborate ritual conducted by non-human agents and their human proxies, to enforce a particular shape on the new Aeon.

The moment that {made the ritual possible / fueled it / "lit the way"} was the dawning of the False Sun on July 16, 1945 via a Qlipphotic invocation of Pluton.

This "opened a path for manifestation" of a new kind of {I don't have a good word for the thing here, but "God"/"Demon"/"Spirit"/"Egregore"/"Collective gestalt consciousness"/"way-of-thinking-about-the-world" are all gesturing vaguely towards it}, which quickly set about the task of gathering, preparing, and {possessing / indoctrinating / recruiting} suitable human hosts.

The energy of this movement gathered all through the 1940s and 1950s, via Operation Paperclip, J Edger Hoover's FBI, etc. - manifesting in what came to be called the "Cold War".

Eventually this manifestation hit a crossroads, where the essential... { energy / guiding principle / fuel source / ethos } had to be chosen, and the readily available choices were Cthonic or Solar.

JFK's presidency was a manifestation of the collective consciousness advocating for the Solar choice, and he was personally a partial incarnation of a Celtic solar chieftan, so they directed him to Dallas and performed a Qlipphotic version of the solar "Sacrifice of the Dying King" ritual, to corrupt and 'ground' the Solar energy back into Cthonic control.

So, September 11 was a grounding / culmination of the ritual - the destruction of the {Tower of Babel / Tower of Heaven} and the "closing off" of the abandoned pathway - at which point things like the 2009 financial crisis are just end-game cleanup.

[This was] mostly not planned at the human level/by my definition. [Achieved by] offloading the "deep time" coordination bits to the non-human co-conspirators.

So, there's a deep occult ritual that was performed in three phases:

- The first phase was the manifestation of the Qlipphotic Sun, at Trinity on July 16, 1945
- The second stage was the sacrifice of the Summer King, in Dallas on November 22, 1963
- The third stage was the grounding of Judgement into the Tower of Babel, in New York on September 11, 2001.

Arguably, you can also point to the b

Sausage Party: The Animation of Contemporary Gnosticism

Sausage Party is a film (on the surface anyway) about food. All the characters are different types of food in a grocery store who are alive and conscious beings.

The movie begins with a focus on a pack of hot dogs (Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Michael Cera) as well as a pack of hot dog buns (including Kirsten Wiig). Rogen’s character Frank and Wiig’s character Brenda long for the day when they will be sold and get to unite with one another as hot dog & bun (complete with all the teenage sexual innuendo you’d expect).

Each morning all the food in the grocery store awaken to a devotional song to the β€œgods”.

Heads up: Very Explicit lyrics.

Here’s the a partial reference in the lyrics (full lyrics here.)

Dear gods you're so divine in each and every way to you we pray,Dear gods we pledge our love to you forevermore,We always felt we had a special bond,Take us to the great beyond,Where we're sure nothing bad happens to food,Once we're out the sliding doors things will all be grand,We will live our dreams together in the promised land,The gods control our fate so we all know we're in good hands…The gods will always care for us,They won't squeeze us out their butts,We cannot overstate how confident we are that our beliefs are accurate,And nothing awful happens to us in the great beyond.

Now the β€œgods” in question are the human shoppers who will come and buy the food and take it out of the store. The Great Beyond is beyond β€œthe sliding doors” of the grocery store into what the food has been taught is paradise.

Here is the first Gnostic theme: the gods as archons.

Gnosticism argued that the gods of their day were in fact demons (archons), beings that did not in fact have the well being of humans in mind but in reality were predatory, trying to steal the light/essence within each person. This is especially the case in the Sethian Gnostic material found in the Nag Hammadi library.

The β€œgods” of Sausage Party obviously are going to eat all these conscious food beings unbeknownst to them.

The ancient Gnostic critique included attacks on the god of The Bible but also the Roman and Greek pantheon, Egyptian and Mesopotamian deities. It was an across the board, equal opportunity deconstruction of all existing deities.

Commonplace religion then for the Gnostics was the means deployed by these false gods/archons to control us. These demonic gods pull

[2.4 Spoilers] Gnosticism, Celestia, and the Ancient Civilization

This post will contain spoilers based on existing information in the game, the Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies, and new stuff from 2.4. My sources will be linked at the end of the post.

To save myself the headache, given the amount of Christian and Gnostic movements, I'll be focusing on the Christian Bible, the Manichaean Gnostic movement, and the Valentinian Gnostic movement, all of which I believe hold a lot of parallels to the history and story of Teyvat. Note that I am not an expert on any of these subjects, though I have been raised in a predominantly Catholic country and as a consequence, have had to sit through numerous classes of Christian Theology throughout my schooling. Please let me know if I get certain details wrong.

Edit: Added more spacing between sections for readability.

Christian Theology and Valentinian Gnosticism

To all ye Christians/Catholics out there, you can skip the next paragraph (but maybe not the bullet points).

The main scripture of Christianity is the Christian Bible, which is an anthology of texts that describe the religion's dogmas, the journey/relationship humanity has with God, and different accounts of what is believed to be historical events. The Bible is divided into the Old and New Testaments.

  • The Old Testament includes the creation myth, how God guided the Israelites, and the books of wisdom. All of it has pretty heavy reminders of God's anger and the consequences of turning away from him.
  • The New Testament introduces Jesus and his teachings. God here is presented as benevolent and kind, with his son, Jesus, bringing light and salvation to humanity. Jesus is pacifistic, non-judgmental, and pure, serving as a prophet to his Father.

Now, the problem that happens a lot when one examines Biblical text is that it's often difficult to reconcile the God described in the Old Testament (righteous, vengeful, warmongering) with the God of the New Testament (benevolent, forgiving, pacifistic).

And so, branches of Gnosticism arose from this paradox. How could an all-good and all-loving God do and allow such evils? Simple. You declare that he is neither of those things. He is the Demiurge, a false God that leads humanity away from enlightenment. This is why the early Christians denounced Gnosticism as heresy.

However, some branches of Gnosticism have beliefs that align with Christianityβ€”Valentinian Gnosticism being a prominent example.

  • Unlike other branches of Gnosticism, Valentinian Gnost

Did Judaism in any form consider the question posed by gnosticism: how do you distinguish a very powerful entity from the sovereign creator of existence?

Gnosticism has an interesting perspective on the characterization of God between the two testaments of the Bible, namely that there are actually two entities with one being deceptive. I was wondering if Judaism considered the question of how to distinguish Absolute Power from just Incredible Power. A lot hinges in Judaism on the subject of their worship bring the True Sovereign Creator so how did they answer challenges to that status. In a landscape where neighbors practice henotheism, monolatry and polytheism, how did they settle the issue that their deity was the One True God?

I'm aware of Elaine Pagels and Stephan Hoeller but I've read a bit of Hoeller and have had Pagels summarized for me by a friend and they both seem to be quite biased and maybe not up to academic standards.

Is there a more neutral overview? I'm especially interested in learning about what intellectual/religious currents fed into Gnosticism, the differences between the various schools and how it evolved over time, not too interested in a work which presents it as a singular and static thing.

If this is true, that we are indeed in a world created by the Demiurge and no aspect of it is good and even the light is an entrapment, what the hell are we supposed to do here? I find it so depressing and directionless.

The second question is how does manifestation play into this? Cause I know it works, it's not even a question for me. I went from "I can make anything I want of this game" to "but what if I mess up with God's plan(Christianity)" to Gnosticism and I am not sure how this aspect fits here.

Notes on Left-Gnosticism

There's a handful of us here (and in the other sub) who are interested in reassembling our theologies and practice in conversation with Gnostic Christian sources, but there isn't necessarily a lot of writing about how that intersects (or at least can intersect) with left-wing political theology. This post is intended as a handful of pointers in what are hopefully promising directions along such lines.

###anarchist directions

The Gnostics by Jacques Lacarrière - portrays Gnosticism as a precursor (in the theological register) of anarchism; as a radical "No" to the "world of injustice, violence, massacre, slavery, poverty, famine, and horrors patiently borne or savagely resisted"; as a critical and disenchanting solvent (because sober about the fundamental limitations of just about everything) of authoritarian theological and crypto-theological projects.

The Ecology of Freedom: The Emergence and Dissolution of Hierarchy by Murray Bookchin - also counts Gnosticism in its genealogy of anarchism.

The Resistance to Christianity: The Heresies at the Origins of the 18th Century by Raoul Vaneigem - portrays Gnostic schools, along with various other heterodox theological movements of Christian history, as so many nascent movements of alternative to (or rebellion against) firstly repressive Late Antique religio-political cultures, and secondly the nascent theological conservatism (also known as "orthodoxy") and hegemonic theopolitical ambitions of mainstream Christianity. Vaneigem here abhors Christianity to the point of being a Jesus-mythicist, but the Situationist analysis of Gnosticism is really unique and quite productive.

War and Revolution: The Hungarian anarchist movement in World War I and the Budapest Commune by Martyn Everett - briefly discusses how a "second strand of Hungarian anarchism coalesced around the figure of Jeno Henrik Schmitt, who advocated a form of Christian anarchism influenced by Gnosticism and Tolstoy’s book The Kingdom of God is Within You."

Parallels between Roko's Basilisk and Gnosticism

One of the basic concepts behind Gnosticism is that a goddess attempted asexual reproduction, creating an entity called the Demiurge, which in turn created the material universe that we inhabit and believes itself to be the single god. The connections I see here are A) creating an artificial intelligence is a lot like asexual reproduction if you think about it, and B) both the AI and the Demiurge created their own "false" reality, which we might be in, inside the "true" reality. So this leads me to two questions: Was Roko's Basilisk inspired by Gnosticism, or is Roko's Basilisk real, we're in a simulation and Gnosticism was ancient peoples' attempt to understand that?

If I've gotten my facts wrong about Gnosticism, please let me know.

Gnosticism summarized

The traditional concept of β€œDemons” that you hear of is a symbolic expression of the manipulative β€œinorganic” (β€œarchontic” / β€œnon-human-entity) force that regulates this reality. It resembles an artificial intelligence and one of its aspects is it controls the afterlife process with programs.

This force can be seen as the β€œmaster of deception” as it tends to metaphysically masquerade and express itself as a set of angelic beings, or even as God.

Who on behalf of the β€œcreator” of this material world (a disconnected and malformed fragment of our universal divine consciousness)

are ruling over the spirit that is bonded into that material world - an illusory reality that is fundamentally flawed because the fragment (and it’s creative process) which produced it is of malformation and ignorance.

Since the material world is a reflection of this deformed fragment, and also because the rulers need certain factors to be present in order to maintain the deceptive illusion, the reality has been inherently rooted in ignorance, manipulation, and control.

There is a need to hold the spirit eternally (through reincarnation) in the illusion (the material world) away from the base reality, in order to continue using it as a source in which divine energy can be harvested from, for the rulers.

The way out is through enlightenment, understanding your intrinsic nature and it’s true origins - by obtaining gnosis.

Gnosis - firsthand experiential knowledge of the true self (the pure consciousness of the absolute) that resides beyond all artificial and illusory self identifications, constructs, and forms.

Once you obtain gnosis, you will have the needed understandings that allows one to return to the true God (their true self) upon physical death.

God = The ultimate universal and eternal source - The true divine mind of spirit (outside of space and time)

For traditional Gnosticism

replace demon/ruler with Archon

replace fragment with Demiurge

IMHO Astrology should have nothing to do with Gnosticism

The stars and worldly spiritual concepts involving astrology are just as material as everything else in existence, imperfect. At best you could view them as just balls in space like they are, or at worst as metaphorical representations of evil, as with Saturn. I think something that people look over in regards to Gnosticism, is that the material world being imperfect or evil doesn't only pertain to Earth, but pretty much every other tangible thing as well, whether it's magic rituals or the stars or aliens or whatever else. To me, the most divine thing is to remove yourself from any of it, to minimize yourself from the material in any form as much is possible. Asceticism is the holy work of a Gnostic. Gnosis is the knowledge that you know nothing, and that is knowing everything.

Eastern Gnosticism and the importance of the "symbol of the call"

Eastern Gnosticism

In the Gnostic (Mandaic) dualism there are two rival kings: malka d-nhura (the king of light) and malka d-hsuka (the king of darkness). Light and Darkness is the main motif of the Mandaic Gnosticism and dualism. The whole existence consists of two worlds: the World of Light with its heavenly jordans and battalions of Beings of lights β€œuhtras”, against the World of Darkness with its demons, liliths and evil beings. The hostility between these two worlds is eternal, but these worlds cannot be isolated because they derive their powers from each other: The worlds of darkness and the worlds of light are Body and Counterpart, (they are complements) of one another, neither can remove from nor approach the other, nor can one distinguish either from its partner, moreover each derives strength from the other.

Manichaeism, also believes that the universe consists of two worlds: World of Light and the World of Darkness and Satan came into being from the World of Darkness, as we read in the Fihrist, Mani said: β€œFrom the land of Darkness there was Satan (al-Sayfan), who is not eternal in his own person, but the elements of his ingredients are eternal. These elements of his ingredients became compound and brought Satan into existence” The Manichaean cosmogony relates that King of Light and the King of Darkness are engaged in fighting each other from the beginning and each of whom has his own realm, darkness by coincidence rose up out of his limits and attacked light. It teaches that light and darkness are: β€œLike two kings fighting each other, who have been enemies from the beginning and each of whom respectively has his own territory, darkness by coincidence rose up out of its limits and attached light.”

The religions of the call

Hans Jonas states: β€œThe symbol of the call as the form in which the transmundane makes its appearance within the world is so fundamental to Eastern Gnosticism that we may even designate the Mandaean and Manichean religions as β€œreligions of the call.”” The Manicheans share two rites with the Mandaeans: the purification of their food and the ritual preparation of unleaved bread (faifira). In addition in Mandaeism, the Kuifa is an element closely related to the first creation. The Kuifa is the β€˜heavenly’ oath which every Mandaean has to take during baptism. The Mandaeans consider the KuSfa a communion with the World of Light, similarly the Primal man, according to the Manicheans, was delivered from his captivity amon

The Grand Deception and delusion in traditional gnosticism.

There are many senarios about what happened to create the New Testament. A wide spectrum of possibilities; the two extremes, as i see it, would be something like Richard Carrier's position that Christ is a meditative experience on the one hand, and Ralph Ellis' position that Christ was a military leader on the other hand. Some where in the middle is the notion that Jesus had a meditative experience and called himself God.

This middle bit is problematic for the traditional gnostic. With this notion, one having an experience might be inclined to think themselves Holy. In r/Gostic and r/Gnosticism, i'm feeling this detatchment; sort of a "i can do nothing in the real world and i'm already set so it just doesn't matter" kind of attitude. This is what i'm calling the delusion in traditional gnosticism.

My experience did not make me Holy; it did not resolve any real world problems: i have no special abilities nor place. No: meaning is place and my place is not special; it's just another place, different but integral, like every other place.

The senario i've ended up with resolves the delusion in traditional gnosticism by asserting that Judas is the one who had the foundational Christ experience, in public, starting in the Jordan with an anointing by John the Baptist. For his success, he was shanghaied to India: a result much more consistent with my own experience.

In fact, this senario i've ended up with synchretizes Carrier and Ellis: Ellis' lacunae provides time for Judas, who is Thomas, to start the Mar Thoma Church long before any literalist interpretation got set in writing. Ellis' military Jesus explains the Arthurian type legends and provides strong motive for literalist perspectives.

So, if i were compelled to articulate a distinction between traditional gnosticism and what i understand modern gnosticism to be, it would be this: traditional gnosticism leads to an arrogant and neutered position, modern gnosticism highlights the responsibility of the Gnostic to reach people and move mountains. ... Well, one mountain, at least; to move it from "there to there"; from the ground of colonialism and misogyny to the ground of truth.

Just read an article about Gnosticism. The Traveler's story is gonna be badass!

Here's some quoted text from the article.

"There’s one further correspondence to note here. In ancient thinking, each planet occupied one of seven celestial β€œspheres” or layers of the sky. Each of the seven archons therefore ruled over his own celestial sphere. This provided the archons with a further way to inhibit people’s spiritual progress. For the Gnostics, when someone tried to gain salvation – which they called β€œgnosis” and characterized as mystical insight rather than intellectual belief or moral action – his or her spirit ascended up through the celestial spheres toward Heaven. The spirit of the Gnostic made this journey both during the Gnostic’s life in moments of ecstatic enlightenment and after death to reach its final resting place. But as the spirit ascended to each sphere, the archon who presided over that sphere would detain the spirit and ask it a series of questions. If the spirit didn’t know how to answer those questions properly – if its gnosis wasn’t yet fully realized – then the archon would be able to prevent it from ascending any higher. It would be trapped by the archons and still subject to their tyranny. But the mature Gnostic was able to overcome all of the archons and ascend all the way to Heaven, which made him or her superior to the very creators and rulers of the world."

Books with lore involving Gnosticism / the Gnostic Gospels

Any fantasy books with world building inspired by Gnosticism?

> Viewing material existence as flawed or evil, Gnostic cosmogony generally presents a distinction between a supreme, hidden God and a malevolent lesser divinity (sometimes associated with the Yahweh of the Old Testament) who is responsible for creating the material universe.

> From the β€œUnknown God” emanate aeons, a series of paired female and male beings. The first of these is Barbelo, who is coactor in the emanations that follow. The aeons that result are representative of the various attributes of God, which are indiscernible when they are not abstracted from their origin. God and the aeons comprise the sum total of the spiritual universe, known as the Pleroma.

> In some versions of the myth, the Aeon Sophia imitates God's actions, performing an emanation of her own, without the prior approval of the other aeons in the Pleroma. This results in a crisis within the Pleroma, leading to the appearance of the Yaldabaoth, a "serpent with a lion's head." This figure is commonly known as the Demiurge, the "artisan" or "craftsman," after the figure in Plato's Timaeus.

There’s a bunch of sci-fi with gnostic themes but any fantasy?

What is the serpent's place in Gnosticism?

In Gnostic beliefs the Demiurge sought to keep Adam and Eve ignorant by any means possible, however, this failed when they ate of the Tree of Knowledge. Did "Satan" or the Gnostic interpretation of him still convince the two to eat of the tree and become greater knowing, or was it one of the aeons using an extension of themself?

Greek mythology in Gnosticism?

Hello, I'm fairly new to Gnosticism, and while I'm not yet certain that this is the way of my belief, I certainly find it interesting.

I've felt very connected to Greek mythology at the way the gods, the spirituality and the material world work. And (as far as I get) the inevitable fault of humanity seems to work well with this mythology. My question is however, can these work together and if so how? Thank you for your time!

How many gods are in Gnosticism?

It may seem like a stupid question but I’m wondering if there’s more gods than just a handful
