A list of puns related to "Girl Guide And Girl Scout"
I donβt remember if it was Girl Scouts or just family? But I think it was Girl Scouts. The other two girls want to leave the guides body because itβs decomposing but the one girl refuses so the other girls leave her to go find help. The girl is alone with the guides body and goes onto an island she starts to hallucinate. Thatβs all I can remember? I canβt remember the ending...
So, my niece is a Girl Scout in Southern California and they are having a world wide scavenger hunt. She is in need of at least 2 Girl Guides or 2 Boy Scouts, (or more) in uniform, to take a picture with a RCMP on a horse holding a sign that states "Cherry on Top" AND has their troop number/troop name and location on the sign as well.
The things we do for our relatives, eh?
We live in Japan, but in 2017, we will live in Norway for about a year, then come back to Japan. Is there some way to carry over the badges and such across the countries? If so, how does that work? Will they be able to bring the badges they get while in Norway with the Norwegian girl guides back and wear them on their Japanese uniforms? Do they "become" Norwegian girl guides for the year, then "become" Japanese girl guides again? Or would they continue to be Japanese girl guides while they are being active in Norwegian girl guides?
It's almost time to put the kids in Girl Guides but can't get a good read on how popular it is in Calgary outside of when someone brings the cookies in to work. Also checked out the Scouts page and it seems like what they do is more in line with what our family does however Scouts seem to have an even lower profile in Calgary but maybe it's just me. Can anyone speak to how their kids did, especially if they put girls in Scouts? Thanks!!
In the recent Girl Scouts vs. Boy Scouts thread, I was surprised to see so many people wondering why Girl Scouts/Girl Guides don't have the same opportunities as the Boy Scouts. I understand different areas have different programs, but nearly every great opportunity I've had in my life came from Girl Scouts - through them I was able to go camping every summer, visit Times Square in NYC, canoe the Florida everglades, snorkel off the coast of Hawaii, and meet a lot of great Girl Scout sisters in the process! The confidence, organization and leadership skills I learned from those years make up a large part of who I am today.
I can't be the only person whose association with Girl Scouts and Girl Guides was a positive experience. I'd love to hear your stories and memories!
Hello Ireland!
I'm a co-leader in the US for Girl Scouts at the Daisy level (age 7). We are participating in World Thinking Day and presenting information about Ireland to other local troops. Date is Feb 25 but we are also having a learning meeting in two weeks.
I would love some help getting info together to present to these kiddos. Any fun, age appropriate tales, facts, links to great website info etc.
TIA!
Okay, this is super specific, but my wife is tearing her hair out trying to come up with good activities for her brownie troupe. I'd like to help her, but I have no idea where to start.
