[PROPAGANDA]"From the river to the Sea, Palestine will be free!"
Fatah's military wing Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades has organized a pro-war demonstration. "From the river to the Sea, Palestine will be free!", chants Palestinian youths at the streets of Jerusalem.
"This is what Palestinians want. Every Palestinian fights united against the zionist aggressors. We will take what rightfully belongs to us. Even if Palestinian goverment makes peace with the zionists we will not stop our armed struggle. We will push the Jews to the Sea! We are the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and our goal is to destroy the state of Israel", tells Fatah's Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades' spokesperson.
[M] This is not a propaganda post from official Palestinian goverment. This propaganda post from Fatah's Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades.

How is there a river at the bottom of the Grand Canyon if it is below sea level and not flow to an ocean?
I understand that most rivers flow the the sea, and that the grand canyon reaches below sea level. So where does the river flow to and could the river essentially keep eroding deeper and deeper?

Journey to the river sea and child slavery
The book "Journey to the river sea" by Eva Ibbotson wasn't One of my favorite books, but it did provide a somewhat interesting reading. Despite the fact that there are practically no fantastical elements in it it Still retains fairytale-like elements through the Cinderella-like character of Maia and the "Lost heir" trope of Clovis. The book succeeds in making the amazon rainforest seem like a magical place gilles with wonders. But my least favourite part of the book is probably the characterisation of the twins.
Like many "unsympathethic" child characters in British novels they have few if any positive qualities and we do not even get the acknowledgement that it is the parent's fault that they ACT the way they do. In My view children truly are innocent, even bratty ones, and to demonize any child who is not Damien Thorn feels wrong.
There is also the fact that I refuse to see the ending where they get enslaved by their rich old relative as anything but a textual support for child slavery.

Is it true that Ancient Egyptians had a channel connecting Nile river to the Read Sea?
I read on YouTube in comment section that Egypt had Channel of Pharaohs which connected Nile river to Read sea. But i could find no information on this on the internet. Nor could I find any maps showing where did the channel go. I heard something about Pharaohs distroying the channel because it was bringing to much salt into fresh Nile.
Also I was thinking of all the things Ottoman empire could have done in order to survive. Like revive Olympics, never let Jannissaries to get married, have another professional standing army outside of Jannisaries, etc. I know building and maintaining Suez Channel is was to much for Ottomans at that time due to technology not being there.
But could they revived Channel of Pharaohs? And would it have made the difference? If the channel was big enough would Ottoman Mediterrian Navy had chance against Portugese navy that was sailing around continent Africa to traide with Indies?
