A list of puns related to "Frodo Baggins"
The LotR trilogy is, collectively, one of my favourite films. I adore them, have nothing but respect for Peter Jackson and his crew, and generally think that most of their changes range from sensible to inspired (I don't think we needed the warg attack or maybe 1/3rd of Gimli's comedy bits).
One of the most disliked changes is Faramir's initial reluctance to trust Frodo, and his intention to send the ring to Denethor. I like this: good people under incredible pressure often go against their instincts, it emphasises the apocalyptic sense of desperation, and the imagery, sounds, music, and atmosphere of besieged Osgiliath are wonderful.
But. Rewatching TTT for the first time in years the other day, I have absolutely no idea what the hell movie-Faramir is thinking. He doesn't just change his mind randomly - the catalyst for him changing his mind, and letting Frodo on his way, is *seeing an entranced Frodo walk up to a high place in order to literally hand the ring over to the ringwraiths*.
I love everything about this sequence - it's surreal and beautifully composed - except for the distracting lack of logic in Faramir's thinking.
Can anyone suggest what's going on in his mind, or is it a scene that you simply need to accept is logically nonsense?
What I learnt is to call someone Mr. [Last name] but in Lord of the Rings, itβs opposite. I am confused
He would of died so many times if the other characters hadnβt rescued his ass and not once did he really save himself in the movies. He even almost ruined the whole thing on more than one occasion. Hence why Bilbo Baggins is the superior character, along with Sam.
Also, Frodo and Sam were 100% gay for each other and you canβt convince me otherwise
