First post but longtime fan of this wonderful forum: Why did the Norman lords England not assimilate into Anglo-Saxon language and culture the way their Norse ancestors adapted to Frankish ways?
Or is the extent to which the Anglo-Normans maintained their status as a people apart exaggerated?

Frankish and German culture characters?
I saw on a thread on this subreddit there were a few counts or something that had German/Frankish cultures which were apparently a remnant from ck2 the devs forgot to remove, where can you find them to play as them?

Image decorating the wall of an office. Large statue on a detailled stand of a horseman. Somewhere in western Europe, architecture looks northern European (Germanic/Frankish) but colours suggest a more southern or eastern location

So I wanna play one of the new tribes in Germania so I can form the Frankish kingdom, but I haven't seen any of them have the unique mission tree.
Am I missing something here? Or is it a glitch

Best way to counter Frankish Nights?
Seems like alot of people are just playing Franks and then spamming tons of Knights. What's their best counter? I know Spearmen, but it doesn't even seem like they're good enough. I had a guy yesterday who threw a million Knights at me so I threw massed spearmen back at him and somehow he won the melee battle. What's the point of a counter if they don't even do it. Spearmen plus gunpowder?

The Frankish Tower, according to medievalist Peter lock, was built in the 13th or 14th century on the Acropolis in Athens as part of the medieval palace of the Duke of Athens. Demolished by Greek authorities in 1874 as part of a misguided effort to clear the hill of post-classical buildings.

Do the effects of Frankish keeps on unit cost only stack in campaign missions or do they stack in multiplayer too?
So I'm the typical scrub that mostly only plays campaigns and vs A.I. While playing the franks campaign I decided to try placing more than one keep by my archery ranges and stables. I noticed that it did further decrease the unit costs. Not that it would be fully viable in a 1v1 game, but do the cost reducing effects of keeps stack in multiplayer too? After about 13 keeps I was able to make Arbalestiers for free, not like next to no cost, but actually for free. I'm worried that would be absolutely broken on multiplayer especially in team games where things trend towards late game often.

The famous conceivability argument about consciousness relied on a particular intuition. A new paper finds that this intuition is not widely shared among non-philosophers. Philosophers David Chalmers, Michelle Liu, Keith Frankish, and Edouard Machery weigh in and the authors of the paper reply.

How did the Eastern Frankish lands (Holy Roman Empire) end up with the rank of βEmperorβ while the Western Franks (France) ended up led by the lower rank of βKingβ?
Since the West was able to stay independent, Iβm surprised they also did not self-assert equivalent rank.
