Elaida foretells the savior of the world will come from royal blood of Andor, meaning Elayne. I’m rereading the books, and I keep thinking “Elayne doesn’t do a whole lot to save the world.”

Then I realized. Rand’s mom is Tigraine. I am so dumb.

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I have a few questions regarding these two rules.

1. If I have the FoL upgrade on a character that is itself in teleport strike/deepstrike, can I still use the FoL to redeploy units that are on the battlefield or does the character using FoL need to be on the field?
2. Foretelling of Locus allows us to redeploy up to 3 units, even into strategic reserves. Does this include the Teleport Strike deepstrike, or can I only use it to put units in "normal" strategic reserves?

I would really appreciate it if someone could clarify this. Thanks in advance.

Foretelling has a strange timing window. You can foretell at instant speed, but only on your own turn.

I can't think of any other instant effect with that timing restriction. Is that effect unique in MTG?

I can't help but to notice as I'm watching Order of the Phoenix right now how eerily it relates to today's social climate.

Scared politicians denying reality, assigning watch dogs (Umbridge) to subvert institutions with nonsense, coming up with a ridiculously long list of rules and things you can and can't say or else you'll be banished from the school grounds, hiring disgruntled and bitter people (Malfoy and crew) to go around and spy on others to report them, using harsh means of punishment for those who don't conform for their own good because "deep down, you know you should be punished".

At the time, it seemed like a reality that "once was" and couldn't be again ... and now, we're here. (Hell, even JK got hit by some of it herself).

Hi guys, After a bit of advice if I may. Now I'm no medium, never really had an in depth interest in it either and am more of a 'I'll believe it when I see it' type of guy. Having said that, I've had a couple of readings, been to a couple of psychic supper evenings etc. On the first psychic supper one of the ladies there kept looking at me and once the room had thinned out a bit she said to me that she could tell I had abilities. Didn't think much of it to be honest but it still stuck in the back of my mind. A few years later and I go for a reading (part of a night out, meal and a reading at a local restaurant), and the guy giving me the reading was adamant on my abilities too, saying that I'll be a very good medium one day, doing the same type of thing he does giving individual readings and group readings etc., mentioning that one day it will just suddenly come to me and hit me like a smack in the face.

My question to you kind people, is should I:

Be doing something to be looking to encourage this 'smack in the face'?

Wait for this 'smack in the face' to happen by itself?

Dismiss this and carry on regardless?

And the majority of us here just do not like what has happened to the show.

So, i thought Id make a post and ask everyone to Foretell what they think will show up in the upcoming episodes, 4-8. What kind of weird, funky crap will the showrunner and writers have come up with and put into the show?

I have debated since 2017 if I should share my one experience on my encounter with a UFP within a community. It hasn't been easy getting to this point. Still, I recall my incident as though it were yesterday. Of course, there were no witnesses, there were no mobile phones, and I didn't even stop since I was driving. It wouldn't have mattered. Since none of us know what these objects are or how many different intelligences are involved, my experience was isolated, so what I experienced may be common or not. If others had a similar incidence, I would like to hear from you. I am a full-blown skeptic of everything. There's no reason for anyone to believe me, nor do I have reason to believe your story. I know what happened to me. My story began around 4:30 pm April 4th, 1968, in Gainesville, GA, ending in 20 seconds. I have not seen anything since.

While driving home alone on the Cleveland Highway headed east after an extracurricular event at Gainesville High School, I saw a disc object on the horizon above the trees directly in my line of sight where the Cleveland Highway curved to the left. This was a long time ago, and though the Cleveland Highway still exists, it has changed. In 1968 it was a 2-lane highway with only several businesses, an elementary school, and Riverbend Baptist Church in view. Today I believe it is a 4-lane, but Riverbend Baptist Church is still there. The church was to my left when I noticed the object. The curve was approximately ¼ mile in front of me.

The disc was highly polished silver in color, with no visible seams and no windows. The silver was the more reflective of any object I had ever seen in the air. The disc appeared to be the size of what was a modern commercial jetliner of the time. I cannot be sure of the size, but a jetliner came to mind for some reason. My perspective could be off because I was in shock. The object hovered with no wavering or wobbling. It appeared fixed in space. Terrified and alone, I wanted to stop the car but worried that someone was behind me.

The speed limit at that time was around 35 miles per hour because of the elementary school that was further east on the right. I slowed down once I saw the object and checked my rearview mirror to see if anyone was behind me. The sun was low in the West. The bright glare in the mirror prevented me from seeing anything behind. The sun reflected off the object, but I could still make out the shape. It was a disc that had a slight rise in the middle.

Did anyone else catch the foretelling of Amy Ryan being the murderer through a meta hint in episode 2.

The line was right before they went to the lobby for the memorial.

When they were trying to figure out who Tim Koto was, there was a part where Martin Short went on a random thought on how he would feel if Steve Carell's character from the Office were murdered.

With Amy Ryan being the murderous ex-girlfriend/lover and her being Steve Carell's (Michael Scott's) girlfriend in the office, I can't help but think that was very intentional for him to bring up a character that was romantically involved with the same actress that is playing the murderer.

I don't think I'm grasping a straws but could be, interested in hearing what other people think!

Hi all, quick question about foretelling a card in my hand with [[dream devourer]] when it has no mana cost. How would foretelling a card like [[profane tutor]] work as it has no mana cost to be reduced? Would I be able to foretell it for free and then cast it for two generic mana on a later turn? And would the suspend ruling still apply? Any clarification on how foretelling a card this way would work is greatly appreciated!

While many of Gitara's Foretellings were helpful and set the stage for the birth of the Dragon Reborn and Moiraine finding him, one of them is curious to me..

Was it a Foretelling when she told Luc to seek his glory in the Blight? The domino effect of this is interesting. First Prince of the Sword cannot become King of Andor, but if he had a daughter, would she have been Queen? Tigraine was devastated by his death and sought advice from Gitara, thus giving her the Foretelling of entering the Waste.

Also, how is it his glory in the Blight? He becomes Slayer, and becomes a tool of the Dark One, mainly running as a nemesis to Perrin. and follow up question- how necessary of a character was Slayer (Luc/Isam) in the end?

Rand and Mat are almost all the way to Caemlyn, and are getting a ride in a haywain from another grouchy, heart-of-gold farmer. Eventually Rand is lulled into sleep by the man's ramblings and falls asleep; has a dream where Thom tells him:
