A list of puns related to "Foolscap"
This is not really a rant, in fact it is the total opposite but I can't really find a suitable flair :/
Long story short I went to SB today to revise but my dumb as brain forgot to bring foolscap papers so I ended up using SB paper napkins to do my math lol. It was kinda fine cuz I was progressing at snail speed so I didn't really need a lot of paper, but I met this really kind stranger who offered me a stack of foolscap. I rejected him cuz I felt too paiseh to just take them for free, I hope I didn't appear like an arrogant kid when I said "it's okay, thanks" :/, I mean I rmb I smiled but idk man. He was sitting beside me so I couldn't help but to peek at his table and saw a graphing calculator lol. Probably a fellow JC student also doing math? Idk. Anyway, you might or might not be here but I just wanted to say thank you so so much, even though I didn't use your foolscap, you kinda made my day. We are total strangers and u were willing to give me ur foolscap (is it A Level gang spirit lol) and like ya know sometimes it's not easy to offer help cuz fear of rejection.
Also, to make this a relevant rant post, I kinda feel that this kinda kindness is like kinda (lol that's a lot of kind) rare nowadays, especially in JC :/. Like idk, it's just how I feel deep down, like we're all on our own, nobody is really genuine, people are not really there to help (maybe we're all to tired to care for one another :,<), and people are judgemental. Competitive environment is kinda real in JC? Idk how to say lol but I kinda feel its existence. I don't even make sense anymore but ok this paragraph is to make this a rant post so that it doesn't get removed for being irrelevant. Can someone prove to me JC is really competitive or prove me wrong lol cuz I really don't know which is true (I kinda feel it but it also seems to be non-existent๐ฎ).
[If my budget range is completely out of whack, I'd really appreciate a DM with some realistic estimates. New to commissions]
I'd like to commission a representation of a dream my girlfriend had as a child. I think a naive, slightly fantastical look might be appropriate (think the Little Prince illustration art, for instance), but I'm open to concepts appropriate to a child's dream. There should be some level of dissonance and the fantastical, but not nightmarish, if that makes any sense. I'll provide more details on the set-up and a photograph of the principal character for you to draw inspiration from.
Media: this is intended as a framed, physical piece, so either physical media or a high-quality print of digital art.
Timing: ideally, delivery by mid-December.
Budget: ballpark US$200-400. I am open to negotiation as I am not sure what is appropriate, given the physical media requirement.

I got a few stacks of foolscap paper rotting away in my room. Don't know whether should I still keep it or sell it since idk whether in poly they still use foolscap paper? So do I keep it or nah?
I recently purchased two foolscap notebooks/writing pads and noticed that they were different sizes.

One was 8ยฝx13ยฝ, your normal foolscap size, whilst the other was 8x12ยฝ. They were both advertised as foolscap. I've looked it up, and it seems foolscap covers a wide range of values, especially in the 19th century where 8x12ยฝ seemed to be used:

Is this some sort of different foolscap or just maybe variation in a poorly defined standard? Note the smaller notebook is by Spirax (Australian brand) whilst the larger is by Winc/Staples (Australian made).

Do your worst!
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐
