Wano has equal if not more stakes than every previous arc imo. I’ll break down how. Let’s start with arc calamities.
Every arc has 1 specific calamity. Wano has many. These calamities add stakes to an arc. We have:
-The floating island landing on the flower capital similar to the Noah in fishman island
-The floating island closing in on the flower capital similar to the bird cage in dressrosa
-Kanjuros fire demon similar to Smiley from punk hazard
-The gunpowder in the armoury at risk of blowing up similar to the bomb during alabasta
-The world government fleet below wano similar to the buster call in enies lobby/Cp0 after robin similar to Cp9 in Enies lobby
Now let’s look at the events of the war that add stakes:
Chapter 990-Jack defeats the army of sulong minks
Chapter 993- Ice oni virus infects a lot of samurai
Chapter 993- Shinobu is taken down from sasakis armoured corps protecting momonosuke
Chapter 993- Kikus arm is ripped off by kaido
Chapter 994- Boss Omasa is infected+ true threat of oni virus revealed
Chapter 995- Chopper is infected by the oni virus
Chapter 995-Usopp and Nami are almost taken out by ulti and page 1. Both are in terrible shape
Chapter 996-Usopp Nami and tama run away from ulti and page 1 while hihimaru holds them off
Chapter 996-We get a glimpse of the scabbards being taken down by kaido
Chapter 997-Sanji is captured
Chapter 997-Calamity of moving onigashima to the flower capital is introduced
Chapter 999-Both Kaido and Big Mom are waiting on the rooftop. Scabbards are no where in sight
Chapter 1000- 9 scabbards are all taken out
Chapter 1000- 5 members of the worst generation are fighting 2 emperors
Chapter 1003-Luffy is out of the battle for 10 minutes in this 5v2
1003-Cp0 are revealed to be on the island
1003-Revealed that the war section of this arc is 27,000 vs 5000 (300 samurai are taken out)
1004- Red scabbards location is discovered by the enemy
1006- Carrot and Wanda are defeated by perospero
1006- Hyogoro is also infected by the ice oni virus and on his last legs. Choppers also in a worse state thanks to the virus and desperately coming up with a cure
1008- Ashura is taken out by kanjuro by sacrificing himself for the other scabbards. Is stabbed,cut + blown up.
1008- Both kanjuro and orochi are alive. Kanjuro is after momonosuke + orochi is burning the castle
1009- Zoro has every bone in his body broken and is in terrible shape
1009- Luffy is literally knocked out

I looked at the woman curled in pain on the bed, the thin medical sheet doing nothing to hide the stretched skin of her belly. “How long ago was this?” I ask
Mary was looking down at the woman, soulfire burning from her eyes freely as her anger raged. “Two days.” she answers.
I turn to the doctor, one of a number of people who worked in my throne world alongside the military and mercenary forces. “What can we do for them?” I ask.
“The…foetus is growing rapidly. Its forcing the, mother, or host to undergo rapid catabolysation. The process of turning fat, muscle and eventually less important organs and turning them into fuel for essential processes. I’ve been giving each patient different treatment in the hope of slowing progression, easing their pain or staving off the deterioration.” The Doctor reports, stepping up to the patient and gently uncovering her.
“This one I have been giving the maximum safe dosage of pain relief, and roughly 30,000 calories delivered directly to her bloodstream every day. All it did was accelerate the foetus growth rate.” he says.
I reach over and place a hand on the woman's belly, I can feel the soulfire inside ravenous uncontrolled and with no direction.
“Cut it out.” I order.
“That didn't work. We lost the patient when we tried to extract the foetus, it seemed to attempt to survive by draining its host of all the energy currently in the body. The mother simply died as her heart stopped and brain activity ended at the same time.” the doctor reports.
I turn to Mary. “What happened to the one responsible, Ricky.” I ask
“I killed him.” Mary replies.
“That won't stop a creature of darkness.” Imperious says inside me.
“Right, they can be reborn in their throne world. And if Ricky’s my subordinate.” I turn to Michael. “Search my throne, if Ricky’s here I want him found and brought to me.” I order him. He nods and walks off.
I turn back to the woman and place my hand on her belly again funnelling light into the foetus. The soulfire fights back, burning its soulfire in retaliation but I keep at it until the soulfire is all gone, just a tiny mote of light remaining. I then heal the woman who for the first time in days I

“Can we last or until the Exodus fleet is due?” he asks before shaking his head. The answer to the first question is less than the second.” he pauses to press a command. “Marines, we have a hostile on the hull. Prepare to repel the border. That's all marines to 2nd gun battery.” he orders. His eyes sunken in and his tendrils hang limp. We both know he’d just ordered his entire marine complement to die.
He gives a flash of a smile. “We held out longer than I’d thought we could. And we’ve taken out hundreds of their ships…the senator will know we fell and order the laskian populace to evacuate.” he adds.
“So not in vain?” I ask.

Rousing to awareness I wince at the stiff muscles in my neck and shoulders before straightening up.
“No change.” a synthetic voice says next to me.
“None?” I ask Rasputin.
The Exo shakes his head. “Some Slight variation in the oscillation. It's moving too fast to isolate and absorb. There’s too much to absorb without stabilising her first. Im working on it.”
“How much are you really working on it?” I ask.
“We’re at 60%, any more risks the defence network overwatch.” Rasputin replies.
I blink and do some mental math before giving up trying to quantify the sheer processing power aimed at saving Reiss. I note Ghost hovering over her protectively and sigh.
“What can I do?” I ask finally.
“Go to Europa. Tell that selfish head to get to work.” Rasputin answers.
I consider the option before nodding. I give Reiss one last look trying to see past the flashes of light and dark burning under her skin and appreciate her face before leaving. “I’ll be back soon.” I tell her before walking out. The facility was familiar yet not to me. I knew the passages and routes into the most vital parts of the warmind’s facility but it still surprised me when I saw a vending machine in an alcove partly stocked with supplies.
I leave through the main door and walk across the plateau to the landing pad where several droids are standing around my ship. Which has had a serious makeover. Apparently some % of Rasputin took offence to the low tech used and had upgraded her. The hull was layered over with Seraphite armour plating, the main cannons were replaced with what looked alot like Valkyrie spear emitters and the Ion engine at the rear was replaced with a NFT burner. Veins of SIVA snaked through everything connecting parts to each other.
“Right, Rasputin commands Siva.” I mutter walking to the ship, automatically the door ramp lowers down and I climb onboard, move through the airlock/armoury, and enter the main room noting that besides the panelling now being made from the superalloy’s Rasputin used in his construction everything was still intact.

... keep reading on reddit ➡Hello folks. Looking for some feedback on my Imperial Guard list that I will be taking to LVO. This will be my first tournament and I would consider myself a casual player only getting to play once a month. The overall composition of the list is a mix of different lists I've seen floating around online. The tank commander load outs are probably not optimal, but this is what I have on my current tanks so its what I went with here. Some general comments about the list creation and my strategy:
- Made Creed the warlord for two reasons, 1) the extra two CP, 2) potential to pump out a crazy amount of orders.
- This list is CP hungry, I have calculated I will be burning 4 CP a turn for the first 3 turns minimum, thus I have concentrated on maxing out how many CP I can get. I start with 10, I estimate with Kurov's Aquila I will get another 3, and then 5 from the turns. This should be enough to pull off my strategy.
- The Troops are pretty standard. Two large conscript blobs to push up the middle of the table and tar pit anything I need to. They can be assisted by the usual stratagems that boost their saves, Nightshroud, or Warding Incantation to help them survive.
- The regular Infantry Squad's are there as the second wave for when the Conscripts finally get wiped. There is one Vox Caster the platoon commander can stand next to to give out some long range orders. Creed is a beast with a 12" range and minimum 3 orders. Between the two this should be able to cover your whole force.
- Psykers: They really exist to throw out mortals. The one area Guard really fall flat is when they face something like the B/S of Custodes with all invuln saves. Three smites, Castigation, and Psychic Maelstrom should pump out 8ish MW a turn if you can get them all off. This is where 1CP a turn every turn will be dedicated to Psychic Conclave.
- Scout Sentinels. These are where I need to brush up on. I get the strat of moving them to objectives then giving them obsec, but I've seen a lot of people say they are taking them to stop Grey Knights? I'll be honest I've never played against Grey Knights so not sure what exactly they stop, but I know its something to do with forward deployment. They also are the cheapest unit to fill the min 3 requirement for Fast Attack.
- Heavy Quad Launchers: No clue why people don't take two of these min every game. They clear out chaff with poor saves like other IG and Daemonettes. A shame they aren't infantry though, would be cool to give them orders but
The Admiral looks over eyes widening as he sees me, Mary looks surprised then pleased.
I walk up to them smiling at Mary before offering a hand to the admiral. “We havent met before. Im Reiss, just Reiss.” I say.

“Part of growing is change.” I tell him before waving past him. “I think we might want to return to the conference?” I suggest.
Glad to have something to do he turns and opens the door. “Captains, Counciler. Reiss has arrived.” he announces before moving through the door and holding it open for me. The assembled captains all stare at me, I pause to let them get their fill as the admiral takes a seat. Then I blink to the only free chair and go to sitdown as the nearest captains practically leap from their own chairs.
I sigh. “If a little blink makes you jump you’re all very unprepared for what's coming.” I say sitting down.
“We were not briefed on your full capabilities.” a captain far down the table replies after a moment.
“Has Mary not been cooperative and offered to teach you how to wield some of my power?” I ask
“She has. But there are concerns about the price.” The admiral says.
“If the Heskians come to you right now and offered a fleet of ships capable of fighting these invaders you’d sign almost any agreement. Why am I any different.” I ask
“You are not offering ships.” a captain replies.
“I have 36 Exodus class ships, crewed by Exo frames loaded with human consciousness, each one with enough firepower to conquer the entirety of Laskain space alone. They’ll be here in a week. In the meantime, whats your plan if you’re attacked.” I ask
They look at each other before the admiral replies. “Our current plan is to have one of Mary-”
“Her. they’re her soldiers.” Mary interrupts.
“One of your uhh soldiers on each ship and do whatever it is they do to enhance our weapons.” he says. I shake my head. “Its a half measure.” I sigh.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Anyway, one shot time. This, along with another (shorter) story I'm still working on, is why last chapter of EGTTL was shorter.
Jaamshankel looked briefly at the hull of the EFS Kimopten, as he moved along the docking tube of the Liptar Anchorage. Sometimes, space-bearing vessels could be quite beautiful. The Kimopten was not. It was covered in plasma launching turrets, and missile batteries, while the broader shape was just a kilometre long, ugly cylinder, that Jaamshankel had to use his upper eyes, the long distance pair, to see properly.
It wasn’t a true battleship, no matter how much the propaganda networks called it that, but it wasn’t meant to be one. No, it was a ground-support-cruiser, tasked with assisting the armies of the Hekatian Stellar Imperium. Alone, it could deliver enough nukes to smother a continent in fire, something it was going to be doing a lot of on this deployment. The Imperium was engaging in a ground campaign against a primitive race, and the ship currently there was running low on supplies. The previous commander, High General Ekretlan, had somehow ended up being captured by the primitives, so it was also necessary to ferry a new commander over, this time keeping them far away from the surface. The Kimopten would therefore fill this role, backed by a pair of frigates for security.
“All EFS Kimopten crew not yet onboard have 5 minutes. Repeat, 5 minutes. Failure to board before we exit the station will be counted as an act of desertion.”
Well, time for my first deployment, he thought to himself. A week in transit, Krashmeela knows how many there, and 1 more back, all in the same cramped and awful ship. Wonderful.
“Ship condition two, repeat, ship condition two. We are exiting FTL in 10 minutes, all crew are expected to be at their posts.” The announcement by Captain Nochilopiturx echoed throughout the ship, providing a final warning.
Jaamshankel was already at his post, one of the nuclear missile batteries on the vessel’s right flank. His job was to ensure their successful operation, dealing with technical faults that could prevent their successful firing from the Kimopten’s command centre. The room wasn’t particularly interesting, a couple banks of wiring and status monitors, some chairs for the regular 3-man staff, plus drink dispensers and a viewscreen for morale purposes.

Reiss
I don't know how long Everything left me to float there but after some time I decided to sit, or do the equivalent of with no gravity to plant my ass to something.
Legs crossed I float among the stars feeling the ebb and flow of my power. The light is the dark. The knowledge that I’d gained from the worm god was, illogical. I’d seen the light and the dark. The only thing they had in common was where they came from.
I tried summoning some soulfire and found it could move inside my body but not outside it.
So what if I could purify it? I take a tiny portion and smother it in light feeling it snuff out but my light fades slightly with it.
Then I think back to when I summon my light fully. Then the soulfire worked alongside my solar light, empowered my void or let me focus my arc power.
Then what if I used my soulfire as my light.
I try burning it freely but aside from feeling raw power coursing through my veins and struggling to free itself from my body, to erupt, but still it fails.
Curious I try the same with my light and find it similarly suppressed.
“Is this some kind of test? Because I have things I need to get back to.” I say to the expanse of space.
When there’s no answer. I sigh and try to work my dark and light again.
As I struggle to force both into harmony or have one transmute into another I see events pass, a galaxy forms and dies in front of my eyes as I work. Until finally I realise my mistake the tiniest mote of light energy changes not into soulfire but something more pure, all dominating, all controlling. Unsure of this powers nature I quickly swap it back, then with my soulfire I work it, compressing it down and down and down, crushing it with will until it's no different to this power. And then I swap it to light, and back again until the both are in balance.

Here's a list of issues the game is facing, as of the patch today (on PC):
- Menu scrolling is like having a seizure. Menu just shoots up and down at random. Especially when buying things.
- Selecting the favourites star icon results in a blank menu unless you scroll your mouse wheel a few times.
- When buying weapons, the weapon images sometimes remain permanently on the menu, even if you go to the tools section instead. Here's an example.
- "News" AKA "buy skins" is popping up after every single game. (EDIT: It is now popping up constantly)
- When you end a match, you see floating weapons on a ghost hunter for a while, before seeing match end details.
- You can no longer click a hunter name at the end of a match, in team details, to see their information/profile etc (Edit - correction, you CAN see it, but only when you leave the team details menu - so I'm assuming you've just hit "send to back" for that layer, to fix the previous issue of the tooltip not being on-top when hovering?)
- Poison glitch - results in you having a fully blurred screen for the entire game.
- Unlootable weapons on dead hunters - this one has been around forever.
- Choke bomb infinite hit marker glitch - if a choke bomb so much as touches the boss corpse, you will receive ear-destruction courtesy of endless hit markers, until the choke bomb goes out.
- Removing two tools at the same time (in the menu, to return them to your armoury) can sometimes result in one being lost permanently.
- Also some reports of people becoming invulnerable instead of being downed.
Personal gripe
The new sound effect that plays when you pull out an arrow/bolt sounds like it was recorded with an electric whisk. I don't mean it sounds like an electric whisk - I mean it sounds like you somehow connected a whisk to a USB cable and then used the whisk to record an IKEA wardrobe falling out of a window. Please change :'(

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I experienced a glitch that worked in my favour. (Playing on quest 2)
In the armoury when something happened that resulted in a duplicate wrist rocket floating in the doorway, which I was able to equip to my left hand.
My shotgun also fell to the floor and when picking up it duplicated in my weapon wheel. A few upgrades on it including reflex sight. Free stuff!!!
I won't be doing that today!
