Fledgeling Puns

Certain bronze engines boost themselves every time you perform a specific action. These include:

1. Dryad Fledgling

2. Nekker Warrior

3. Bare-Knuckle Brawler

4. Lyrian Cavalry

5. Abandoned Girl (Edit, this card got a buff I forgot about)

I propose that all these units be buffed to 5 power. These units do not boost themselves on the first turn or after you've passed and require a good deal of deckbuilding around them to receive any payoff. Consider Bare-Knuckle Brawler, for example. If we don't buff him, he only finds value if he's not removed AND you have 3+ crimes AND the round actually lasts long enough for you to play those crimes. That's far too much work to devote to a lousy 4 provision bronze card. When multiple factions and archetypes have bronze engines that boost themselves by 2+ points per turn, it's clear that a single point every couple of turns or so is not competitive. (Also, SY Mutant can go up to 4. Same deal.)

I've ordered these units roughly in terms of how badly they need a buff. Thanks to Simlas and the strong symbiosis package, Abandoned Girl barely needs any help. By contrast, Dryad Fledgling likely wouldn't be very playable even with this buff, given the virtually nonexistent Harmony package.

There are some other units I've deliberately left off of this list, including Hybrid, Nauzicaa Seargent, and Ducal Guard. These units don't need a buff despite having a similar design, because they can be triggered multiple times per turn. (Except in the case of Salamandra Lackey, which can be triggered on the turn it is played and synergizes with almost any SY deck).

In fairness, it's worth mentioning that there are two other ways to fix these cards:

Method 1 is to create ways to trigger the engine tag more than once per turn. Braathens, Artorius Vigo, and Triss: TK provide this utility for NG Assimilate.

Method 2 is to add a passive ability to the card much like Reinforced Trebuchet. This way, the card can compete with faster engines. This method of fixing cards should be further explored, in my opinion. Especially for NR Resupply.

Despite this, I still stand by my original buff proposal, that they be buffed to 5 power. High floor, low ceiling engines have yet to be explored. These cards would be a sort of hybrid between pointslam and engine. They would counter midrange control decks by having a high floor. In turn, they would be out-pointed by more aggressive engines that boost

Hello all,

Today I heard crows screaming, rushed outside and saw a big baby fledgeling on side walk. Cat and dogs would attack. So I took it to my home which is next to crow's nest. I showed baby to mother on window. Called fire station. They put the crow on to the branch of a tree. All of it took like 15 minutes. 2 hours past she died at the exactly spot where we put. The body is on the sidewalk. My mother is very sad. Same for me. Can't think what would crow's mother experiencing.

Big baby crow was not walking but able to stand and hold on things by using her legs. Wasn't able to fly but it was flopping wings. As far as I can see there was no damage or broken bone on the crow. No blood. She seemed okay.

What did I do wrong? Maybe mother was not able to see the baby on the tree? Perhaps something else?

A little about me and my pen and experience: I've been playing pen and paper rpgs for 20 years. Mostly AD&D, but also Call of Cthulhu, TSR's Marvel Superheroes and Starfinder. I've played Bloodlines, Redemtion and published a book (The Rose Witch) on the storyteller's vault, so I'm not a complete N00b when it comes to the lore.

Ok guys this post will serve as an update of the RAVN DD that I posted last month, and where I expect the stock to go, and certain key buy/sell targets based on recent price action.

Since posting, the stock price peaked at around a 24% higher than the lows of December 8th and closed last trading day at $33, an 18% increase from the date of posting. GANG. This leaves us with an additional upside of 50% to return to the previous highs of $49 from August 2018.

The Ark fund behaviors continue to show that RAVN has room to grow. ARKQ now holds over 500k shares, and has not disclosed any sell orders in their newsletters. Bullish AF. 🚀🚀🚀

In fact, just yesterday January 5th 23,201 shares were added to the fund.

TA gives some good idea as to what to expect moving forward. Again, after the breakout identified in my previous post, RAVN mooned. Very similar 🚀🚀🚀 conditions are being shown now, and I would be confident buying at these levels.

As of now, we are consolidating around the $33 level. Solid support at $32.28, and I would buy at these levels, setting a stop loss/alert at just under. Premarket action as of this morning, January 6th, is indicating a breakout above the wedge today. Looking to see a close of a 4hr candle above the wedge to panic buy continue to hold until at least my 35 strikes are ITM.

Honestly, I think I hit a home run with this stock pick. People call me daddy now, and I’ve been getting PMs about people’s profits and it’s really heartwarming. GRWG mooned after I posted but I sold out of that wayy too early. Thus, I feel obligated to provide Raven gang with my moves and outlook for the future. Hi everyone. Sorry this is a long post.

A recently fledged baby Thrasher in my yard was briefly attacked by a cat. Fledgling escaped and is seemingly unharmed, but I’m wondering how to protect him while he’s still vulnerable. I’m just looking for wisdom on the situation in general. Details below.

I’ve had California Thrashers in my yard raising what appears to be a single-chick brood for a while now (+/-10 days since hatching).

Today a neighborhood cat got a hold of the chick. Thankfully it doesn’t seem injured in any way. I discovered the cat right away, and I scared it so good it dropped the chick from its mouth and ran.

I’m kind of thinking this was already about the right time for the chick to fledge based on the timeline of the nest, so I don’t think putting it back into the nest is gonna work. While it does look healthy, the baby Thrasher doesn’t look very much like an adult, and it can barely fly a couple feet. Its beak is not curved yet and still has some yellow color, and the tail feathers are only 2”-3” long.

The baby is now roaming somewhere out of reach, under my shrubs, with the parents lingering nearby.

I’m concerned about its weak flying with the cat still around. Does anyone know if it’s normal for CA Thrashers not to fly when they first fledge? How long should it be until it can take care of itself a little better?
