A list of puns related to "Fieldwork"

I just moved to NH and my previous town had a large field next to the local course. Other than a small baseball field, thereβs nothing super close I can find for fieldwork when things warm up. How do you find a location for fieldwork? Any suggestions to help me find a new spot?
My mom is a soil scientist who is going through her old soil samples from her dissertation and getting rid of them since she no longer has a use for them. Her collection sites and experiences were very special to her so it feels like a shame to just throw them away, but they are taking up a lot of space in the garage. I want to take a couple of her sample collections and do something creative with them so she can keep it in her office as a fun keepsake from her fieldwork. Any suggestions or ideas?
Hopefully this is an okay post for this subreddit!

I had to write one of those "I'M ANGRY SO I'M YELLING BUT ALSO I LOVE YOU" scripts. It's been too long.

This can never happen again. Do I make myself clear?
No. Don't even say anything. I don't want to hear it! Do you even know how close I came to losing you tonight? One second later, one sip more and you'd be dead. Is that what you want?
No, I'm not gonna stop! I didn't ask you to play the hero. I told you to avoid taking risks! To keep your profile low! Not to intercept a wine glass meant for me and drink it to prove there was poison in it! When you went down--!
I don't care if you don't have regrets. You weren't the one to pick up the pieces. You weren't the one waiting by your bedside hoping that you'd open your eyes again!
Of course I'm angry. You think I'm made of stone or something? What the fuck were you thinking, huh? What in the world inspired you to play hero when you have no training whatsoever!
No, you don't. What if you'd been wrong, huh? What if your body was weaker than you thought? What if I hadn't gotten an antidote on time?
It doesn't matter if you trusted me to figure it out! Jesus Christ, do you understand how lucky you are right now? If any thing had gone wrong--any tiny thing--and you'd be dead. Dead! Gone.
Good, because I think it deserves to be repeated! I'm trained for situations like this. You're just there to handle tech. You never should've been in the field like that!
No, you shouldn't have. Because you made a risky, stupid choice and it's only by some miracle you're alive right now. I'm the field agent. I'm prepared to make the risks. I'm the one with the poison resistance and the hand-to-hand training. If anyone should've had that wine, it was me.
It doesn't mat

After 12 weeks of grinding, hard work, learning things on my own, and busting my butt at one of the top pediatric inpatient settings in the country, I was told without any notice that I would be failing this placement. I have grounds to believe that this decision is racially charged, being that I am a female who hails from an underrepresented racial group. My CIs treated me like crap from the start, I shut up and kept moving on the basis that I just wanted to get by. My CIs spent my session times on their phones or instead documenting, rather than watching me. Sometimes they treated another patient while I was treating one too. If I was such a horrible student clinician, why would they being doing that? At times made comments about my clinical reasoning, which I evidently addressed, and had told me that I may benefit from an extra few days to spruce up some skills. At Week 11, a day after my project, which was highly sought after considering the attention that it would get the facility, was submitted, I was told that I would fail on grounds that did not have any basis or evidence for the claims they were making against me. In the last few days prior to them informing me I failed, I witnessed my CIβs first encounter with an underrepresented patient. It was horrendous. The way he talked to her, treated her, and even texting my other CI about her had me confirm his inherent/implicit biases/racism. I donβt know what to do right now. I need help. I have a meeting with my fieldwork coordinator tomorrow and I donβt even know where to start. Please advise me. I am about to get set back 3 months from graduation, starting my capstone experience, redoing this FW all because of matters that donβt add up.
I previously worked at a company that didn't give a second thought to safety or 70E when it came to doing fieldwork. The standard procedure was to pull panelboard covers and open gear live to see wire sizes, which breakers are spare, breaker catalog numbers, take load readings, etc. I wanted to see what other's do since I know it is becoming very common not to open live equipment.
I want to become a cultural anthropologist. But I just realized that by being away from home for a lot of time, a relationship I might have at home wouldn't work well. Effectively killing my dating prospects for all time.
Hi all! I just started my internship on January 5th and have been doing training since. I was just notified that I will be going with the audit team to do fieldwork at a client tomorrow. I will be starting on auditing cash and accounts payable. I have a couple questions, the first being will I have to ask the client questions or will everything I need be provided for me since the audit team has done all the planning already? My second question is will I be there super late or does the audit team leave when the client closes? I looked up the client and they close at 4:30 so I was just trying to plan out my commute since I live an hour and a half away from the client. Thanks!!
Hello OT community! I will be beginning my level 2 field work experience this week and am asking for advice on what to expect while working in an Inpatient Rehab Facility working with CVA, TBI, and amputee patients.
Due to covid my level 1 Fieldwork was completed via simucase and although it was interesting to learn this way, I feel at a disadvantage when going into my level 2 Fieldwork.
I am excited, but extremely nervous to work with the geriatric population as I only have 5+ years experience working with pediatrics as an at home provider. I am looking for advice, helpful tips and what may be expected of me going into level 2.
Thank you so much for any responses!
i finished my bachelors with a 3.9 and the class portion of my masters with a 3.3. i've never been a bad student, i was even valedictorian of my graduating class in high school. but the past few years i've really struggled with anxiety and depression.
fast forward to march 2021 and i'm at my first level 2 placement and i have 2 CIs. i am from eastern kentucky with a thick accent, and they were both native to the philippines, as well as educated there, with a thick accent. so this was a major communication barrier just in terms of cultural understanding of anxiety and mental health, paired with a language barrier.
some personal backstory, when i started this placement i did not have a good living arrangement and i was still struggling with some substance abuse. now, i'm sober and i have a much more stable and supportive living situation.
one CI i had at this clinic was more my age; and she worked to understand me and communicate her feedback in a constructive cohesive method with my learning style, and did not see the same professional problems as the other, more experienced CI - who claimed the majority of communication with my college professor overseeing fieldwork. she was traumatic, in a few words. when i describe her to my friends and professors they apologized for what i went through. consistent talking down to and pushing aside; then the other CI telling me "no i don't see that issue". it was so bad for me. on so many levels. my boyfriend called her "the nazi" (lol after he watched greys anatomy with me - Dr. Bailey reference.) because he could always tell which CI i worked with when i came home for the day.
in march 2021, following an anxiety attack at work after a conversation with the older CI, i was let go from my placement; with advice from my professors i decided to take a year off from my studies. i have now received a grade of Unsatisfactory in my fieldwork class because my therapist/physiatrist/accessibility office at school have not communicated on time to get the required paperwork in.
here is my dilemma. i have 90 days left of fieldwork. i was failing at the time i took a break - the week of midterms (placement 1). i have a bachelors degree in occupational science. after experiencing the field (i was OP UE & OP Peds.) i'm not sure healthcare is for me in GENERAL - at least while the US is a single payer system. i just hate the politics of it. BUT - should i go ahead and finish my degree, or just find something to do

Hi, Iβm one year away from my OTA level 2 field work and we canβt stay in our town for it. We have to leave to a different city and the drive is too far to go back and forth from my home to the place Iβll be put. Did anyone else have this happen and what did you do? Iβd love to hear some advice!
Have y'all run into any problems with the free Ripley Fieldwork tracker? It's telling me the time I'm putting in is incorrect, but it's not. But because Ripley thinks it is, I can't log my hours. Has anyone run into this?
I got injured 6 weeks into my first level 2 fieldwork and failed. I was doing really well prior to the injury but did not handle the situation professionally. I was given a chance to redo fieldwork, this time in an acute care setting, but was terminated due to "poor body mechanics" and "safety concerns". I am not sure if I will have the chance to redo fieldwork again and complete my degree. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation?
Hi, everyone! I am currently a first year OT student and I am interested in pursuing womenβs health OT/ pelvic floor therapy (Iβm not sure yet what I specifically want to specialize in under the umbrella term of womenβs health but I am passionate about womenβs pelvic floor health, premenstrual mood disorders, and perinatal health). I was wondering if anyone here is also interested in this practice area and has had experience in it in fieldwork or as a practicing OT? I am hoping to establish my own fieldwork sites, so I figured I would reach out to this reddit community as well as doing my own research :) Thank you!

Does anyone know of somewhere online that sells packets with resources that are setting specific? Iβve seen them before but Iβm having trouble finding them now. TIA
I've been working on my form and engaging my hips on my throws. I'm being optimistic that this is a good sign π
For those whoβve had an internship before, how long would it take to hear back from them after applying? Iβve already applied by submitting my resume to them through the CICE website, so I wondered how long it would take to hear back from them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I figured out how to plant grapes and olives in nearly perfect rows and make working the rows very easy.
If you have dev tools enabled (go into your game.xml and change <controls>false</controls> to <controls>true</controls>) you can press f4 and get a 2m grid on the ground. vines/groves have to be planted at least 2.25ish meters apart, so I planted them every 1 and 1/2 grid squares (aka 3m) and they're still close enough that there aren't ugly gaps between the rows. Voila, you now have perfectly straight rows with no gaps.
Bonus: you can now use either the Vehicle Control Addon gps function (my personal favorite, download from official Github link here: https://github.com/Mogli12/VehicleControlAddon) or Wopster's Guidance Steering mod (in Modhub today) to make going down the rows extremely easy. Just set the working width of your GPS mod to be 3m and align the GPS to be exactly in the middle of the row. You still can't use a helper, but it's very easy and can be done while other things are being done by normal AI workers.
