A list of puns related to "Extremophiles"
This little bacterium "can survive cold, dehydration, vacuum, and acid, and therefore is known as a polyextremophile."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deinococcus_radiodurans
Plasmoids get resistance to poison and acid. Barbarians get resistance to piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning (while raging). I figure there's got to be an easy way of adding cold and then even more resistances.

So a while back I read: What to think about machines that think. Excellent book.
One of the writers questioned why we send fragile humans into space when self-replicating nanoships could have already transmitted data about the entire universe back to earth.
My question is: let's say nanoships already did that. Next step, colonization. So which extremophiles would you attach nanoships to in order to colonize?
Radiodurans is resistant to radiation. There are also anaerobic extremophiles which do not need oxygen to survive.
(Extra points and maybe even payment if you can post art that represents your response.)
Thanks yall!
Today's card is Extremophiles (#224):
Active card (Blue) | Venus Next expansion
Cost: 3 | Requirements: 2 Science tags | Tags: Venus, Microbe
Action: Add 1 microbe to ANY card.
1 VP for every 3 microbes on this card.
Iβve read in a few different places that flamingos are extremophiles - They can live in low oxygen, high altitude environments at a wide range of temperatures (Correct me if Iβm wrong). However I canβt find any credible source, research paper etc that confirms this.
Does anyone have any sources that can give a definitive answer? Thanks!
Edit: Not in Telos, my mistake
And what's the connection between them? I know it's the same story being told across those albums, but is it the same part chronologically or something?
I just can't stop listening to this song. It's my favourite BTBAM song atm, heck full stop. Especially the live version they put out, just so tight! My favourite BTBAM song changes every couple of weeks but I just can't move past Extremophile Elite, although an hourable mention does go to Voice of Trespass, God I love that jazzy sound!
Could cold and radiation resistant microbial life forms exist on the surface of a Mars like world?
Challenge includes. Being lit on fire, being put in space, being in the bottom of the ocean, being struck by 15 bolts of lightning, going 15 years without food and water.
Anyone experiment with strange pH balances?Add toxins over time?I'm interested in seeing photos, or hearing some stories about zombie spheres and experiments related.
I'm thinking of doing some very light cave exploring and starting a sphere that exists in darkness as well.
Comment the all types of extremophiles.
I wrote a article on extremophiles.....

1)Β An extremophile ( from LatinΒ extremusΒ meaning βextremeβ and GreekΒ philiaΒ meaning βloveβ ).
2) Extremophiles are living organisms with theΒ ability to survive and thrive in extreme environmentsΒ as a result of different physiological and molecular adaptations.
3)Β These organisms thrive inΒ extreme niches, ice, and salt solutions, as well as acid and alkaline conditions.
4)Β Some might grow inΒ toxic waste, organic solvents, heavy metals, or in several other habitats that are considered inhospitable for life.
An actual scientific term used in modern science this could also be used by aliens in your stories if you want to
