Before when I've commented on this people have seemed surprised that The Fall had ever been depicted in a novel, so here is a collection of tidbits and more substantial accounts of the lead up to, and The Fall itself.

Pokémon Blaze Black 2 and Volt White 2 Redux are a reimagining of Drayano's 2012 project's Blaze Black 2 & Volt White 2. In a nutshell, Redux retains the usual changes brought about in Drayano's other projects, including but not limited to: access to all 649 Pokémon in the game, revamped Trainers including tougher boss fights, lots of (optional) changes to weaker Pokémon to make them easier to use, the removal of trade only evolutions and a number of other quality of life changes.

At a glance, here is a list of some features and additions you can expect from Redux:

• The ability to catch all 649 pokemon, as mentioned.
• A revamped trainer roster and two optional difficulty modes, detailed later.
• The addition of the Fairy Type, as well as changes to the Steel type introduced In Gen VI.
• Documentation of all Pokémon changes, item locations, important NPCs etc is included.
• Select moves from later generations have been implemented, replacing old and broadly unused moves. This includes Power-up Punch taking the place of Comet Punch, Dual Wingbeat the place of Vise Grip and Lunge the place of Barrage.
• A new level curve. All pokemon can fully evolve by the Pokemon League. This new level curve accommodates the new story progression and trainer changes. Speaking of...
• Several brand new story additions and character encounters. For example, instead of heading to Pokestar Studios, the area is now optional. Instead, you'll now remind Brycen about the joy of Pokemon battles!

• Pokémon across the dex have been updated to their modern stat distributions, held items, type combinations and abilities. Furthermore, Pokémon have had their dream world abilities (were useful) swapped into their regular abilities, so that they can be obtained via regular gameplay.

Maybe I'm tilting at windmills here, but I have noticed a certain type of "spiritual" person who is part of a nebulous but very real movement of people set on modifying spirituality in order to conform to the physicalist perspective. Most of these people are postmodernists (often unknowingly) who have never had an experience with oneness, but otherwise have the intuition that spirituality is "good" because others consider it something good and because it serves as a useful utility function for personal development. There is a whole pantheon of post-modern religions, all of which invariably subscribe to the pop-sci perspective. This mostly involves reading about spiritual experiences and interpreting them as "real" but ultimately metaphorical instead of metaphysical. It is just materialism repackaged to better serve moral and cultural utility. People who subscribe to this model of spirituality often lack any direct personal mystical experiences. As a result, they only ever seem to engage with spirituality on an intellectual level, but nevertheless, agree with much of the teachings because they sound "right". It is nothing but a pop-psychology version of spirituality. Truth is not known, spoken, or written. Truth is experienced. Anyone lacking this direct experience is ultimately just another blind man leading the blind.

I know everyone is on their own personal journey, but man, the self-assured confidence on display by some of these people that I have personally met with regards to the nature of spiritual experiences bothers me more than it should. These are people stuck on stage 4 of their spiritual development. They are missing half the equation. It's a perspective that attempts to downplay direct experience by attributing everything to individual and cultural subjectivity instead of the other way around. Which is to say, many people interpret the same fundamental transcendent truth and later mold this truth in order to conform to a preexisting cultural context. This often occurs because of the inherent difficulty in describing ineffable experiences through the medium of language. The key takeaway though is that there exists a single Transcendent truth to reality and this truth is accessible through direct experience.

Unfortunately, these new-age tiktok zoomers I sometimes see dabble in spiritual beliefs seem to think spirituality and the occult are just accessories to ego, aka commodified subcultures of people only in

“Life matters” is a senseless, manufactured saying by people created from the empty silence of reality. It’s objectively meaningless.

It’s primarily a saying to kick-start people to develop detached, delusional-wise views of life & therefore, gives more people mindless to reasons to reproduce. Which in return, causes us to bring about unimaginable, warped, & extraneous suffering to hundreds of trillions of beings including ourselves.

What “life” is as most people see it is merely just an sentient, evolutionary product that’s primarily recognized as just a clump of values/merit. The reason that your life is only chosen as being “meaningful” is because of your 'gifted' qualities like intelligence, proficiency, & vital force which is why you were really wanted by people, then also, for the slave machine that people/we created.

The second reason why your life is chosen as “meaningful” is because it’s just our inert response to care for the members of the same species. It’s all selfish & superficial.

You aren’t allowed to commit suicide because those qualities that you inherently have are needed for the machine. The lifeforms with ‘lesser’ qualities get exploited for their body because “they’re not good enough”.(which could've, or can be you.)

You basically need fake, manufactured quality to “matter” enough

Getting on.. We are tweaked to see that for “life to matter” it has to be a good product. The higher in quality the product is, the more that it falsely & subjectively “matters” (this applies for us too).

Example: Insects get the worst & aren’t even hardly considered lives because they’re subjectively seen as "not a high enough quality product". If they were high quality, we would avoid committing mass murder on them by not mowing them over all the time because we’re afraid for a little ‘grass to grow’ just for aesthetic reasons.

Let’s further more look at quality.

The poor Ant vs the Butterfly:

If it was a life or death choice, most people would choose the butterfly to survive because of it’s “naturally gifted” attributes (it’s beauty) while leaving the ant to face non-existence because it wasn’t “gifted” enough.

This goes to show the true meaning of how ultimately meaningless life is in the default, sentient state without any fake-pointless manufactured quality, class, or abilities added to it

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I was reading an article on Animals the other day and something hit me when reading about them.

First AFAIK we haven't got anything on Xivu Araths' appearance except non-canon fan art. (Correct me if I'm wrong and there is any slight description in the Grimoire but I didn't stumble across any.)

So to preface this we Know what Oryx looks like, he is in essence and Giant Humanoid Bat. Now whats interesting and probably the most known fact about bats? The fact that they use Sonar / Echo Location (I'm going to use Sonar cause its easier to type). Now Oryx was the Navigator and bats use Sonar to Navigate (and catch prey). So this all lines up nicely.

Now this is where I went down a hole. Savathun is based on a moth. Now I didn't know this but...

Now why is this interesting, Oryx is a bat and uses sonar to navigate, Savathun is a moth and moths use sonar frequencies so distort and confuse and evade. You can probably see where I am going with this. Both Characters are based on animals that use Sonar and the way they use it directly matches up with the Characters traits in the game.

So After looking at all other animals that use Sonar, and deciding which is most likely for Xivu Arath I am knocking on the head all of the whale family as It doesnt fit with the aesthetic of the Hive and also the birds and other interesting creatures such as some lemurs and hedgehogs. Now the animals that are most likely in my view are Grasshoppers, Crickets and my choice that Xivu will be based on the Preying Mantis.

Now sadly I couldn't find anything about them using Sonar, but they do use it in a similar way to moths (also to evade bats interestingly). However the other things do match up.

Xivu is Female. Female Preying mantises (sp?) are Insane predators, much larger than there Male counterparts and are known to eat there partners after mating about 30-40% of the time (from different sources). They are incredibly strong for there size and kill and devour prey much larger than themselves.

I’m rewatching in preparation for the thousand year blood war. I love the aesthetic of the hallows in all their evolutionary forms. I like how no matter what they are broken souls lost they never drop what they are. Predators in every sense of the word. I even feel for them in their moments of sorrow. But why are they always so underpowered getting taken out in some BS way. They were hyped up to be more powerful then the captains in the beginning of the Arrancar arch. Was this a writing issue or was it because Aizen only got a few actual vastolordas to level up?

This is a topic that repeatedly comes up on this sub that has been puzzling me. Many years ago in a previous life, all my buddies were herp nerds/breeders and I had a fair sized collection of mostly boas but a few pythons too.

In those days, a look at the tail was considered an acceptable method of getting a “fairly” accurate idea of sex amongst snake keepers. Though we would obviously always probe them in instances in which we needed to be certain, the animals I encountered tended to adhere to a general rule: a male’s tail had a longer, gradual taper and a female’s tail was shorter and stubbier with a more abrupt taper.

In this study on wild P. regius in the Italian journal of Zoology, the methodology describes the snakes being sexed by examining the morphology of the tail.

The phenomenon of tail sexual dimorphism is also observed in this study by the School of biological sciences in Sydney (albeit Ball pythons are not specifically being referenced but rather snakes in general.)

The second paper did help me guess at a possible answer to my own question, perhaps! Boa and ball python morphs were in their infancy back when I kept them (and insane money!) Most of the animals around were wild types and a it wasn’t unusual that some animals available in the trade were wild caught specimens. The author describes that lengthier tails in males allowed for longer hemipenes which, in turn, made them more successful at reproducing. I wonder if the massively prolific captive breeding of ball pythons, with the many morphs we have today, resulted in this trait not being so evident as it is unimportant aesthetically? Also, there is no competition amongst the males as the pairings are heavily controlled by breeders. Thusly perhaps it is no longer a relevant or observable evolutionary trait? Is that the case and why the notion is rejected on this sub? I’ve been out the herp game for so long I now consider myself a born again novice in need of re-education!

I have noticed that people get quite aggressively downvoted on this sub when suggesting that observing the tail morphology may be a method of “guessing” sex. While I totally appreciate the need for probing or popping for a truly reliable answer, if it’s someone’s pet that they have no intention of breeding or taking to the vet just for sexing, why is it repeat
