where am i able to play touhou 6: embodiment of the scarlet devil? im in the usa and the only option ive heard of is importing from japan, though the website i was linked was difficult for me to navigate. thanks for any answers, ive been wanting to play this for a while now

i would really like to rebind arrow keys to WASD keys and i would also like to have some kind of autoshooter so that i dont need to always hold z to shoot. i found some shady link here:

but it looks sus. virus total throws a lot of warnings. I also tried to rebind keys in-game, but it seems like its not responsive, and also doesn't work, maybe it only can rebind specific game controller keys?

anyways im looking for solutions that would work on keyboard, cause thats what im comfortable with, also i dont think that it really matters, but i'm trying to get this working with my linux laptop, but wine exist, so i dont see a problem here.

Hello. This isn’t your typical 2hu discussion post, but it’s something I’m interested in hearing the thoughts of others in the community about.. that topic is The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

Does anybody else feel.. ‘unnerved’ while playing this game? I get it, it’s a stupid question, but have some patience. The dialogue is lighthearted, the characters are colourful girls, the music is triumphant and the gameplay is largely the same as any other game in the series, but if feels eerie, in some way.

It’s probably just me, but there’s something about the game that’s so unsettling.. not in the hyper-realistic 666 way, but in a way I can’t describe. Something about the low-quality textures, barren HUD and dark atmosphere in the game. Something about the game’s title of ‘Scarlet Devil Land’. Something about how it’s twenty years old, and if didn’t know about wider franchise/doujin culture, I’d dismiss it as a strange game with no big company as its publisher, no information about it in English and no explanation for the story.

I know how it sounds.. you’re infiltrating the mansion of a little (centuries old) vampire girl to the tune of an orchestra of trumpets, nothing horrific there. The game doesn’t even try to take itself seriously, yet here I am. Ah, well, whatever. I’ll probably delete this post anyway. Regardless, does anyone feel similarly?

How do I change my controls in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, because so far I cant edit the ingame controller settings

Recently, I have found on ZUN's old blog where you can download the first of the Trial versions of EoSD. But the download seems to not work, if someone can help me out and / or possibly provide some details on it, that would be great.

I DID IT! Well I did use continues and got the bad ending but I at least I got to the end. Maybe I'll come back and get the good ending in the future.

I had to reinstall the game because it wasn't working, but I can't get the retexture to work again, I'm transferring the files, although theres no files to replace, but it's still using the same original sprites tried changing from invisible to visible hitbox but didn't change anything.

So I recently downloaded my first touhou game, I really like playing so far (although I suck). I was looking at some score leaderboards (specifically Easy - level 01 as that is the only thing I can consistently finish at the moment) and I saw the highscore was ~6.9million. My best attempts with no deaths etc have been 2.5million so I was wondering how they get so much more points? Are there any strategies that I don't know?

I've had this game for a while and still haven't beaten it. It seems that I struggle with stage 4 the most and just use bombs though it to complete the stage easily. Is there anything I should do to get better?
