A list of puns related to "Sound Module"
Hi,
I'm having some issues with connecting my Microfreak to my Minilogue XD sound module. My intention is to use the keyboard on the microfreak, send that information to the minilogue xd for sound output which feeds into my focusrite scarlet 4i4 connected to my computer.
I have my MIDI OUT connected to my microfreak, MIDI IN connected to the Minilogue, the same cable is connected via USB to my computer. I have a 1/4 cable connected from the "MONO" sound port of my minilogue connected to my focusrite.
Settings on my Microfreak:
local is set to OFF, output is "BOTH", Knob send CCs: OFF
I'm not entirely sure what to do because I'm not getting any sound output. The MIDI out channel on my microfreak is set to "channel 2" and I'm pretty sure that the midi channel on my Minilogue is set to Channel 2.
Should also note that I'm using Ableton as my DAW.
Any help here is appreciated.
Merry Christmas everyone! I am a veteran producer who has a lot of hardware synthesizers. Lately, Iβve been really fascinated by the Lunchbox 500 modules as I learn more about using hardware effects to really enhance my synth sounds and make my tracks sound better over all. I know itβs not needed for me, but itβs fun. Anyway, I wanna get a lunchbox but I donβt know where to start: I was hoping people here could offer some guidance. I donβt need anything for vocals or straight up mixing/mastering. I instead want stuff more geared towards production. For instance, I already know Moogβs The Ladder would be a lot of fun to use not just on my digital synths to give them an analog filter, but also on my mixes to remove high end etc. What else can/should I get? Feel free to give entry-level and high priced options, I just wanna learn. Iβm thinking definitely a saturation module and an EQ. Much appreciated!
I already own the Zoom H3VR and plan on getting the BTA-1 bluetooth module so that I can monitor the sound on my Airpods (via the Zoom iPhone App). Would that work?
I'm not sure if the Bluetooth module transmits any audio to the iPhone.
Has anyone tried it?
Looking to replace my SH-01a with some more FM. I already own a Yamaha TX81Z and adore it, incredible little synth. I'd like an FS1R but they are just not in my budget right now and probably never will be as every time I check eBay the price seems to have inflated even more! Maybe one day...
I use a Yamaha QY700 for sequencing so wouldn't use the Digitone's sequencer/p-lock stuff that much I don't think. I already own an Octatrack so I'm used to the Elektron workflow a little bit. I'd be using the Digitone purely as a sound module but a friend said that would just be a waste...if only there was another equally as powerful FM synth in the Digitone's price range? Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Hi there,
I am building a project that uses some Leds and an ESP32. I am looking for a sound sensor module of a good quality to make the Led reacting to the sound.
I bought the KY-038 but I have been quite disappointed with the results (almost impossible to configure on the breadboard).
Do you have any sensor to recommend by chance?
EDIT: I am looking for a sound sensor that can go pretty high in DB such as 100 maybe.
Hello everyone! I had a quick question. So I currently own a minilogue that I love, and it has opened the door to obsession with hardware synths. To that I have been looking into sounds modules such as the Roland JU-6A, Roland JD-08, or Model D. And I have been looking into the Arturia keystep as a way to control those. But I wanted to know if my minilogue will be a good way of controlling those instead of buying a keystep? I do understand that I would be able to combine the sounds together by doing that, but would it also be possible to cut the vcos from the minilogue and just play whatever sound module is connected?
And if there is any other way to go about things I am open to recommendations!
Thank you all so much for the help!
Tell me about your favorite sound sources. Iβm open to hearing about anything from your standard single oscillator, to your buchla style complex osc, all the way to the more non-traditional type sound sources (granular stuff, samplers, drum voices, noise sources, etc)
Whenever my camera app or any other app accesses my 9R's camera it makes a small clicking sound. I checked and there is a fast movement of the camera lens which causes this sound. Is this normal?
Example: The Basilisk used a different firing noise at launch, and was 'revamped' some years later.
And it's not just the Basilisk, either. The TR MAX and VS MAX had different sounds for their AI guns at launch. The MCG and Lasher also sounded different for a while.
And then there's the whole slew of sound changes they did to the various 1st generation faction-specific infantry guns.
Some people liked the new sounds, others preferred the old sounds. So, why not add a new "Sound Module" slot for weapons, and start selling sound packs that let you 'equip' the old sounds again?
Good idea for a 'cosmetic' that might generate more revenue? I'd certainly love to hear the original Basilisk again, among others.
Hi all,
They work-out to almost the same price (about 100 dollar difference) and wondering which is the better choice. Do the quality and options on the 300 surpass what the TV speaker and bass would offer? Will be used for everything from streaming music to gaming with the family. Thanks in advance!
The question comes from my search for the ideal two-board setup. Ideally, I'd rather not pay twice for the same thing. So the idea is, in two-keyboard setup mode lower, weighted keyboard, upper, organ keyboard, pulled forward so its keys directly above keys, and a good busy interface above the upper manual. But, obviously, some gigs and situations call for just the organ, others just the weighted. So in order to be able to make the two boards fit snuggly when two-board mode, but also be able to have the knobby interface on either alone, the only solution would be a long sound module with interface, shaped like the top of a keyboard. So imagine something like the top of the new Yamaha CP or YC series (not the refaces), but as a sheet/board, ready to snap into place with either the organ or the weighted, as is called for by the scenario. Obviously the market isnt driving demand for this sort of thing, but is it even feasible? Sound modules are never only an inch thick that I know of, but maybe thats only because theres no call for it, outside of this very specific situation. Are their issues with heat regulation, or other structural concerns? In this situation im pretty much thinking pure digital, so no need to factor in tuning/heat realities of VCOs.
I know this isnt really a synth question, but you folks are usually more informed about the technical possibiilities of electronic music hardware, and the idea can apply to synths as well as to romplers.
So I recently got Bose Sound bar 900 with Bass Module 700 BUT I dont feel its worth.Initially when I setup, I didn't run the AdaptiQ, Bass was very very overpowering then I ran the AdaptiQ setup which made the Bass a little subtle based on my room size. But the sound is still not likable. I dont feel that fullness in sound, I am unable to explain that in text.I seriously dont feel the worth of spending $2300 (Canadian).
I have been trying to do a mix match of settings, can anyone review and tell if I am doing something wrong or if there is something I can try?
Thanks in advance!

Why does Andre's Sound Module claim it only supports flight sims since it doesn't use telemetry data but uses sound?
I haven't installed any of this software yet, because I want to know which games I can use for it first.
I've already seen people using it for Star Wars: Squadrons, one of the games I'm interested using it for. But there's other games I want to use it for, like a game on Steam VR called Touring Karts.
Can you technically use Andre's Sound Module for any game?
I am not much of a Modder, but I've messed around with modifying modules, to add functionality to parts, or make them stupidly powerful, or stuff like that. Recently, I remembered that there was a part from KIS that you could right click and play a song from, and I wanted to add something like that to a couple of parts. Only problem is that I can't figure out how to do it without installing KIS and everything that comes with it, which I don't want. Anyone have any ideas?
