Elapids are strictly visual animals, needing their eyes for everything they do. As a rule I donβt take any animals out while theyβre in shed, venomous or not. The most Iβll do is mist them like I was doing here, which helps a ton with potential shedding issues especially in winter like it is now. v.redd.it/ebelqskkc7a41
In the states Iβve learned that this is not true and that juveniles/neonates have full control of amount of venom injected during a bite. Can someone verify on the subject? Does this apply to crotalid family but not elapids? Thanks!

I've been watching some videos about the most venomous snakes, many of which are elapids, and it got me wondering about the other end of the spectrum. Does anyone know which is the least toxic elapid species? Are there any cobras or cobra relatives with no human fatalities from bites?
