For the sake of a work of fiction, what would be the effects of a massive rise in sea level, one kilometer, on the climate of Earth.

Would the Snow Points and temperature layers relative to the current sea level elevate as well, creating more habitable area in the remaining landmass, or would there still be uninhabitable frozen zones in areas like the Himalayas?

I'm thinking about buying a really nice condo right on the beach in Florida someday. Haven't decided whether I want the Destin/PCB area, Tampa area, or Ft Lauderdale area.

But regardless, with climate change and sea level rise and all that, how do ya think that would effect the value of such a condo if things were to get bad and the beach were to be eroded/submerged? Obviously it's not gonna happen within the next 20 years or whatever but I mean EVENTUALLY it's bound to happen right?

Should I consider some property a bit more inland and elevated?
