A list of puns related to "Early Thermal Weapons"
Hi, I've noticed today after tweaking around with my laptop's cpu governer that my laptop started to work much better with games such as csgo (going from 20 fps to 80 fps) but after playing for a couple of minutes, my systems decides that it is a good idea to thermal throttle and because of it the game runs 30-50fps. Temps aren't even in my opinion that high, 75Β°C max. So, I began to wonder if there was a way to change when the thermal throttle kicks in.
I'm all ears :)

Here is a concept idea for the Death Star in Return of the Jedi -- it seems they use beam focusers for hitting a single target but can also the emitters independently to hit multiple targets within range. Would the concentration of power on one target give them a greater range? Or is that a consideration in space?
What type of laser would you think would be the most practical for a space platform the size of the moon? Would the Death Star's size help or hinder the operation of a large laser and an array of reflectors? I imagine materials like diamond would be best for use on reflective surfacing using that much energy? How much energy are we talking about?
The McMurdo area including Ross Island and the Dry Valleys have a peculiar temperature pattern, particularly in comparison to its closest climatic analogues in the Northern Hemisphere (the "non-Atlantic" Extreme Arctic, like the areas around Isachsen, Eureka, Kap Morris Jesup, Nord Station, Cape Chelyuskin, et cetera). For one thing, along with much of Interior Antarctica they appear to have the smallest non-grishmic* seasonal lag on the planet, with January only being very marginally warmer than December. But this feature is not that unusual, with those Extreme Arctic locations typically reaching thermal maxima only 10-or-so days later.
What is especially odd, however, is that in early winter (April, May, and June), cooling seems to stagnate and (according to most data) even slightly reverses, while early in late winter (July, August, and September) the temperature resumes dropping as normal, hits a nadir, and starts rising again. This can be seen in the climate data for Fryxell (bare-bones weather box), Vanda (weather box based on scattered data), McMurdo (weather box, thermal graph), and Scott (weather box). At Vanda, May is slightly warmer than either April or June, while at Fryxell, McMurdo, and Scott, June is slightly warmer than either May or July. In all cases, the total temperature drop over those three early winter months is lesser in magnitude than the single monthly transition to the coldest month of the year, which is August at Vanda and September everywhere else.
So... what the heck is going on? What kind of meteorological phenomenon could result in a climatically-relevant slowdown or even reversal of cooling in the pitch-black conditions of the High Antarctic early winter?

This is my first playthrough of DS3 and while i've played other souls game, I really don't know what weapon should i use early. But i'm planning to use 1 of these 4 later in the game:
I'm using the deep battle axe that i got from a mimic right now and i am still progressing through in undead settlement.
EDIT: Thanks for the response! But i'm really sorry that i can't reply a lot of the comments because it became out of control and i am overwhelmed.
EDIT 2: Also a lot of people in the thread ask me what i'm using now. I use the Irityhll Straight Sword and i am still progressing through the game in the Road Of Sacrifice.
I am getting my old CR-10S back up and running. I have done some modifications to the hotend and I was running into issues that the thermal runaway protection triggers. When the hotend starts cooling down it takes too long before it starts heating back up again.
Basically it heats up fine, but if for any reason (you pause the print for example) the hotend starts too cool and if it's still above 90 degrees Celsius when it starts heating again the thermal runaway will trigger. This isn't a mayor issue, but it makes it uncomfortable to run long prints.
I just installed Octoprint and wanted to pid tune the hotend, and I am running into this issue again, but I can't find where I can tweak the thermal runaway protection.
If I had to guess, I would expect it to be in the firmware source files, does anyone know where I can find these settings?
I'll start with mine. I started as a cop on top of an apartment tower roof surrounded by zombies (can't remember the exact scenario).
I ended up using all my ammo for my handgun killing the zombies around me. With no back-up weapon and Being five floors up a building infested with zombies in the middle of a city infested with zombies. I figured I was probably screwed.
Then, like a miracle I saw it, a golf club sitting on top of the roof. With it I cleared three of the five floors, gathered everything of import and retreated to an apartment on the top floor. From there I read up on the skills I'd need to survive and created everything I needed.
I eventually made my escape and started a new life on a ranch with a few NPC's I saved. I even cleared that city.
If not for that golf club I'm certain that run would have ended day one.
One of the things I see people here complain about a lot or making a big deal about is buying weapons early. I don't see the issue here, if someone wants to buy and use a weapon early then so what? I've bought plenty of weapons early because I didn't want to have to play until I was like rank 150. Who cares if people buy a gun early just let people do what they want.
Saber and Rapier used to be the best early/mid game weapons. But they were nerfed so much (they are basically worse than a regular sword). So what is the new best weapon? I would still like to use my shield.
Nunchucks are disabled(I think)
So i finally started DS3 and got my hands on sellsword twinblade and uchigatana.
I always hear the fuss about the sellsword but im wondering if its the best? Under which circumstances? And is it a good boss weapon? If not what would be?
Iβm a level 22 dwarf beast master hunter and Iβm wondering if anyone has a suggestion for the best ranged weapon I can get at my level. This is my first time playing and the only info I could find was for that bramble staff. Iβm looking for something ranged.
I have recently completed canny valley page 1 and have unlocked the ability to craft 106 weapons, my friend on the other hand is on page 10 on canny valley and canβt craft 106 weapons. Do you know why I can craft them but my friend can not, please explain how getting higher weapon schematics work.
(Used to say needed canny valley storm shield defence 6 to unlock but unlocked on page 1).
What's the strongest early game weapons I can get? I'm just at Horseshoe overlook and my shitty repeater and revolver take about 4 or 5 shots to kill some bugger!
Are there any good/unique weapons that are obtainable early on in the game?
TIA
Lately, I have been replaying FE Echoes. It reminded me of hox Alm does not get his legendary weapon, the Falchion, until late in the game. In contrast, Chrom has his Falchion from the start and Byleth gets the Sword of the Creator in Chapter 4. However, to balance things, the latter two weapons are much weaker, Chrom`s having five might and Byleth`s having seven.
This brings me to my question, which do you folks prefer. Would you rather get the legendary weapon early but it is upgrades over time, or wait to get it until lategame but it is reall strong?
Personally, I prefer the latter. Getting the legendary weapon at full power feels like a much more momentus occasion. But that is just my opinion, feel free to share your own below.
How is Calamity Queller on Xiao? I normally use Deathmatch on him with Cr/Cd 80/206 and Atk 2026, Anemo Goblet.
Now I got Calamity Queller, the Crit Rate will go down, and so does Crit Damage to 60/148. I did not level up the weapon yet because I do not have so much Mora left, so is it even worth trying to use it on Xiao and farm a artifact set for him anew?
I don't plan on pulling on weapon banner anymore because I have this nagging feeling that the next one will be a catalyst and my nagging feeling has never betrayed me in any Gacha, it's a veteran's sixth sense at this point lol.
I've been listening to the MindShock podcasts about this case. First of all, I'll admit that I think some of the theories discussed in that podcast are way out there and in some cases border line grasping at straws. I also really hate the host's defensive attitude and name-calling in every single episode.
With that said, one of the episodes focusses around the drone that someone flew at the start of the search with thermal image capturing. Apparently nothing was detected during this initial drone stint, and it was noted that heat sources such as the people from the search parties and animals were all detected during this drone search.
The bottom line that this host concludes is that the girls could have POSSIBLY been killed elsewhere and moved to the crime scene during the dark hours when no one was searching.
I've never really bought into the theory that the girls were killed somewhere else and then moved there, but I am genuinely curious to know what people's thoughts are on the drone thermal imaging capture? Why were the bodies not detected during this fly-over? Could it be as simple as just being missed by the operator?
In addition to that, I am curious to know what people's thoughts are on this podcast for those who have listened to it? Some of the theories I find interesting and I like the fact that he explores avenues that others don't always talk about, but on the other hand I find myself disagreeing a lot and getting annoyed at the insults he throws towards people who disagree with his theories.
im using the sniper i got from bad hair day and a six round pistol whose name i forgot. are these weapons good enough or should i get something else?
