A list of puns related to "Eamon"
Book readers were outraged that a simple officer of the Children of the Light could burn a sister at the stake.
Eamon Valda is one of the Forsaken.
There is NO way a non-channeler could hunt and kill 6-8 fully trained Aes Sedai.
Cutting off the Aes Sedai's hands is all theater for the other Children so they don't suspect he can channel. He really has the Sister Shielded with Saidin and gagged so she can't reveal his tricks.
It would make sense for the writers to combine Rahvin and Valda, they both torment Morgase. The small gray streak in his hair made me first suspect him. Killing Sister's convinced me. Valda's mannerisms, extremely refined, suave but sadistic, says Rahvin.
If I was a writer for the show I would sneak the Forsaken into storylines the book readers wouldn't suspect. I think they have shown a 2nd Forsaken in the show.
Edit: I just watched episode 8 and it crushed my soul.
Apologies if this has been talked about.
Abdul Salis is nailing the character that was written for him, but is this a consolidated character? To save a lot of meandering, does it seem like Valda and Jaichim Carridin are merged into this character? I think it could definitely be pulled off and save a lot of storytelling time. If Valda is also Carridin (since he's already a questioner), >!and a dark friend,!< there's a really interesting character in there. I hope they flesh that out, if that's the plan.
I see a lot of people on this sub saying that they donβt like Ark Eamon. I kind of doze off during Alistairβs story (I know, how dare I) but Iβm definitely missing a lot. Can someone explain?
Edit: Ok I see now nvm
I know, i know⦠the TV show presents channeling as an act only done by making a gesture with the hands (even if it seems to me after reviewing the trailers that saidin is not obligatory channeled by hands though).
I was wondering why the martyrised Aes Sedai was not channeling and came to these elements.
What do you think? What could also be a plausible theory?
I haven't seen this discussed before, but it's an interesting deep dive into the show's portrayal of Eamon Valda's level of cruelty.
The bird he eats at the beginning of the episode is an Ortolan, a dish that is illegal in most countries today.
The Ortolan is a beautiful songbird found in Western Europe, and poached for this particularly cruel dish. The captured bird is prepared for consumption first by either gouging out its eyes or keeping it in a dark cage; Ortolans feed at night, so the constant darkness tricks the bird into eating incessantly until it is very fatty. When it's time to cook the bird, it is killed by being drowned in brandy, and is subsequently plucked and roasted.
Traditionally, the person eating the bird will place a napkin over their head because the amount of cruelty involved in the dish is an affront to god, and the consumer covers his face to hide the shame.
So, not only does Valda relish in the murder of Aes Sedai "witches", which from his religious POV could be seen as justified; he has no sense of shame for eating the bird out in the open where the maker can see.

A ritual sacrifice of Eamon Ryan to the viral gods might appease them enough to end this pandemic. We have to act quick though he may not have COVID for long as we all know he is able to shake it off for the second test.
Did anyone else find it odd how Egwene's fireball didn't even scorch Valda's clothes? Or how he managed to subdue so many Aes Sedai he has a ring collection? Is he carrying some kind of Ter'angreal to repel the one power or does he just have dumb luck? Thoughts?
Is he a blademaster in the show?
He doesn't seem to be. No heron marked blade, drops his weapon when perrin looks at him with his yellow eyes. You'd expect a blade master whitecloak to rush the presumed darkfriend in those circumstances not cower.
If he isn't, I wonder if that role is being passed elsewhere and to who!
Was just sitting down to watch a documentary about the war of independence when the thought crossed my mind would love to know if any does
Hi all,
I know u/emoney94 is a regular here - so I thought some of you might be interested to get to know him a little more!
Honestly one of the most enjoyable interviews I've done so far - make sure you go check his channel out!

Edit: I tagged the wrong person lol
Anybody else catch how bad Eamon Lynch shit all over phil on the golf Channel today? Wow! Between the player impact program and rules changes. Specifically, driver length and not having the balls to say it to fellow players faces, only calling out the pga tour and R&A
I don't want to spoil anything, so I'm going to be vague, but based on the change in rank, and the nature of the show character, does anyone else feel that a large part of another prominent whitecloak is being grafted onto (show) Valda? It would be an interesting way of keeping book readers from knowing exactly what was going on if such amalgamations of characters are to be commonplace.
No spoilers obviously, for show-only fans. But I see a lot of things like this happening to keep production costs manageable and make the character list easier to track.
As a man Eamon Valda hates all those that can channel. Valda would never suffer a person who could channel to live. We will recall in episode 2 the questioners where gonna go south into the 2 rivers. We can than follow on the map that Perrin and Egwene are on the Caralain Plain which is east of where the Whitecloak encounter happened.
So as a man that can channel why has Valda Not Offed himself as a blight to the world. After all He can channel and use gateways else wise their is no way he could catch up.
Feel free to add conjecture on how he could logically do this imp sure I have missed something /s

Dude is literally a Lord Captain and apparently an Inquisitor, but he's asking Egwene to address him as though she were his superior? It's basically like a Lieutenant Colonel asking a random civilian to call him "Soldier Burns," or at the very least like his expecting to be called "Sir," rather than his rank.
like what the fuck
This guy eating the bird thing gives me Denethor eating the tomato vibes. It's creepy, I hate it, but it works.
I'm a book reader (no spoilers) and the show just makes these guys so easily hateable. And I think they'll only get more so as time goes on.
Im just curious if anyone has messed with the order of the Redcliffe Missions and the Genetivi missions? I know the game heavily sways you to choose Connors fate before saving the Arl, but has anyone done it in reverse? If so how did that go for you?
Show is evolving, just backwards.
