A list of puns related to "Driving Side"
My clubbing days are now over. Where's good to buy bedroom slippers?
Folks, appreciate the comments and I enjoyed reading the views and opinions of all. The consensus is good, glasses are very much under appreciated and I now will go look after my ageing body. Glasses today, perhaps a bit of botox next month and I'll be good for another decade. Cheers all, and looking forward to letting you all know when I gotta get the false teeth in
There's something beautiful about it to me. Seeing who has come before you, total strangers and imagining what life was like in that same spot you are at back when they were alive.
Seeing how long people lived and what little descriptions they have on their tombstone and how intricate (or not) their stone is, is always interesting too.
Driver: Sorry, Iβm English
Cop: (shouting) Oii.. Itβs the rong soid of the roade ye was droivin down, innit?
Iβm used to right side driving and soon will be embarking on a two week road trip with left side driving (UK).
I feel very comfortable in manual, narrow European roads, however never had experience with left side driving.
Any tips to prepare beforehand? Iβm scouring old posts, YouTube videos, but curious on current thoughts here. Unfortunately no real way to practice beforehand, will be dropped right into London to start driving
My dad and I are strongly considering going to Iceland in May. I'm getting married in June, and instead a stag do I don't want to have, we'd rather go travelling to somewhere I've always wanted to go to, just us two. I fully intend going back several times (likely next year) as 4 days isn't long, but 4 days in Iceland is better than no days in Iceland for now!
Anyway, we are both a bit on the fence about driving in Iceland. I'm British, so am only used to driving on left hand side of the road and have never driven abroad. My dad has, but he had a horrible experience in the US (San Francisco) and is put off the idea (appreciate Iceland is nothing like US, just in terms of right side of road driving).
Would appreciate feedback on driving Reykjavik and then driving on the 'main roads' and even rural areas outside cities. We won't be going too far, would rather really take in some of Iceland than spread our time too thin, but don't want to purely rely on coaches.
Just an idea
So yeah, I almost died today. The semi-truck in question is probably still driving and not even realizing it's missing a tire. So there's no company to go after for damages.
The police wrote their report as me not being at fault. I'll be calling progressive tomorrow to try and speak to a living thing there. The cop had it towed to a wreckers yard until I figure out where insurance wants it taken I guess.
What now? I just pay my deductible and get it fixed? It's an older car probably worth like $9k (if I sold it myself maybe $12k) is my insurance going to go up even though I did literally nothing wrong? Should I be doing anything differently?
