A list of puns related to "Damselfish"
For those who didn't watch it, the Damselfish were hoarding all the algae. Lots of the algae rot, causing coral in the other side of the reef to get sick. The damselfish refuse to share with other fish. In real life, this can be compared to the food waste problem. Consumers of developed nations hog lots of food, only for 40% of the food going to waste. Not only does it leave less food for underdeveloped nations, but when it rots, it releases greenhouse gases, which pollutes and warm the earth. They don't notice because it affects the other side of the reef first. (Underdeveloped nations). Consumerism and capitalism must calm down for a while.
My tank has been up and running for nearly 2 years now, and my damselfish is the oldest fish in the tank. Due to aggression, I've walled him off to one side of the tank, where's he's lived for a year. He has a rock with a hiding space, and besides from an occasional hermit crab that wanders in, there's nothing else on his side. He can see the other fish through the cage, but he's the only aggressive fish in the tank, and he's also the largest. I can't imagine any other fish threatening him through the cage.
I've been away from home for three weeks now, and my parents have been caring for the tank. They just told me that he's jumped out of the tank, and attempted to jump out twice more in the last day. They've sealed the top of the tank, but when they get near to feed he jumps up and hits the plastic cover.
I won't be home to check on the tank until this weekend. From what my parents tell me, the fish is eating, and the tank temperature is all good. Any idea why he's suddenly gotten so jumpy lately? I've never had a fish jump out until now.
Hello Everyone,
I became interested in Saltwater aquariums recently, and have been doing research for the last month to determine if I'm really going to jump into it. The reason I became interested is because I am absolutely in love with the Fiji Blue Damselfish ever since I was a kid.
I'm currently considering getting 45G tank. I've already become familiarized with the process of cycling, and the necessary equipment I would need (filter, heater, skimmer, pumps, live rock and sand, etc.).
My question is, in a tank this size, could I get 1 or maybe 2 tank mates for the damselfish? I don't mind keeping it by itself, but I would prefer to have at least one more fish in there to give it some variety. I know they are a fairly aggressive and territorial fish, but I've read that you introduce them last to the tank, they won't be as aggressive to the fish already there. I've also read that other semi-aggressive fish are the best tank mates for them.
Please advise! I'm a complete beginner to this subject and I'm still doing daily research to educate myself to a point where I can feel comfortable with taking the next step.
Thank you!
So Iβve had Karen for about two years now and she has finally outstayed her welcome with the vicious slaughter of my tang. LFS says they will take her off my hands if I bring her in but the issue is I can not catch this little turd to save my life. Sheβs currently in a 90 tall with a decent amount of rock and coral and sheβs way faster than I could ever dream of being. Does anyone here have experience on successfully catching a damsel? Iβm at a loss
