A list of puns related to "Cycladic"
PHYLAKOPI
Stratification. The Second City at Phylakopi was completely destroyed, most probably by an earthquake. The Third City was a reconstruction of the site over the ruins of the Second, though the rebuilding did not necessarily take place all at once. The division between the two marks the distinction between the Middle and Late Cycladic periods. The first stage of the Third City (III-i) was defined in the original excavation report by reference to a group of rooms which went out of use at an early stage in III. The material from these provided the basic definition of LC I.
Architecture and Material Culture. Recent research suggests that two important architectural features may be ascribed to the early Third City. These are a wall of defence and a large 'mansion'. The discovery of fragments of Linear A tablets is thought to indicate an administrative function for the latter.
The essentially MC character of the finds from the Second City is undisputed, although its end may have occurred a little after the beginning of LM IA in Crete and a degree of Minoan influence is already discernible-in the pillar rooms and some of the pottery, also in fresco remains unless all of these are now to be dated to the following period. As for the Third City, the most striking feature of the pottery of the earliest phase (III-i) is the dominance of Minoan forms and motifs. It is likely, however, that elements of local origin were significant.
In addition to the ceramic and architectural evidence already cited, imports of Minoan stone vases" and fresco fragments showing Minoan influence provide further evidence that links with Crete became much closer in the early Third City. There is a substantial amount of unpublished LH I-II pottery from Phylakopi-3 which indicates that relations with the Mainland at this time were considerably stronger than has hitherto been thought. This would certainly agree with recent analysis of the material from Kea and Thera. At both these sites it is now recognized that there are strong indications of contact with Mycenaean culture in the early LC period.
KEA
Stratification. Serious destruction marked the end of the MBA (Period V) at Ayia Irini. The following stage (Period VI) saw the start of construction of major elements of the LC town (including houses A and F) and repair and reorganization of the fortifications. Some of the structures belonging to Period VI wer

Yesterday we added a link to a video of the reconstruction of a house on the island of Santorini, which is very important for studying the history of Ancient Crete and the Minoan civilization. This is the so-called Admiral's house. It is named so that on the wall of this house archaeologists found a fresco with the most detailed image of Minoan or Cycladic ships.
We do not know exactly how great was the political influence of Crete on the Cycladic Islands. But the cultural dominance of the Minoan culture is undeniable. But this does not mean that the same ships were built in Crete and the Cyclades.
We don't even know what kind of event is depicted on the fresco, but we don't have anything better for the reconstruction of Minoan ships.
You can easily find the top two images on the Internet. For people who are interested in the history of shipbuilding in the Mediterranean, there are many reasons for criticism. And all other history lovers can notice the obvious mistake of the artists.
Perhaps this mistake is not as obvious as it seems to me, and therefore I wanted to ask the respected members of our community, and what do they think is wrong in these reconstructions?
