A list of puns related to "Crosscurrent"
Bill Evans and his trio recorded the song "Night and Day" in Crosscurrents, released in 1978. I am asking with the hope that your paths, somehow, crossed with the song. And maybe I should say that I listened to the piece on Spotify; hence the below referenced time durations are from there.
Bill comes to the scene after the βHeadβ part, delivering the solo in question, to which I wonder what your responses and feelings are. In the recording, not the βtake 9β one, from 1:25 to 1:33, the sound of the piano seemed out of tune, but I am not quite sure. The first time I listened to that part, I had to stop listening immediately; it struck me almost creepily. That perceived effect of seemingly untuned melody got me thinking about the psychology of the perception of the sound, especially from untuned instruments. Of course, that could also be musical depending on what you plan to do or, e.g., whether you want a certain level of dissonance in your music, etc. However, this seemed not like that. For me, there is an apparent disturbance, almost like each note in the melody is fading discretely. If I were to describe it with a picture, it would be a βmoving stairway.β :D
If not for the untuned piano, something might have happened in the recording process. But that doesnβt explain why the sounds of the other instruments seemed okay.
Could you clarify any misunderstood points in the piece?
If I stated anything incorrectly, Iβd be appreciated if you correct me :)
Cheers!
Rode my bike for the first time in 4 months, and only got 14 miles out of it, with 1/3 battery bars left, when I use to get about 3 times that.
So I'm guessing the cells are either starting to go bad, or something.

I've been holding out for the 19.2 aH battery, but they don't have any in stock, and suspect they never will have any more.
So should I try to replace the cells myself, or just keep riding in hopes that I can buy a new OEM one, eventually? Or is there a method to try and refresh my current cells?
Short term solution is to steal the battery off of my dad's bike that's the same, but I'm trying in the future a bit.
Has anybody taken apart this particular battery?
I'm looking to purchase my first ebike and I really like the Rideal and the CrossCurrent. I haven't made a final decision yet, but I'm wondering if there's anything anyone recommends that's somewhat in the middle of these two. I like the speed and torque sensor of the CrossCurrent, but the price of the Rideal is much more enticing.
Is there a happy middle ground between these two, or are they just that good of value at their respective price points?
Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know of a controller that is compatible with juiced crosscurrent x that would increase the top throttle speed? This bike comes locked with throttle speed at 20mph and Id really wanna upgrade it.
Also, if there is a controller mod would it be compatible with the battery? Iβd appreciate any help

Iβve had 2 major problems with my bike recently.
The first issue (this didnβt kill the bike) is that the rear brake motor cutoff is always active, so I have to leave it unplugged to actually use the motor. I have no idea how to fix this.
The second issue happened today on the way to work. I was riding through a light drizzle, and half way through the ride, I noticed my display turned off. It wouldnβt turn back on. I believe the battery is fine, the power button light is still green. Iβm thinking the display shorted and fried from the drizzle.
Do you think purchasing a replacement display would make the bike operable again?
i'm thinking about getting a hybrid ebike soon and both of these seem like nice bikes with similar performance and price. which one do you guys think is better, or are there any other similar priced hybrid ebikes you'd prefer
Hey all,
I recently stumbled on Juiced Bikes and was impressed with the few YT reviews I watched but I'm still not sure which is the right bike for me. At the moment, the trail I'd like to ride is 17 miles one way from the start to the beach. From there, I'd like to bike up and down the beach trails then back home. All of these roads are paved roads, nothing off-road. It might be nice to have something that can be comfortable on dirt roads but that won't be near the majority of the roads I end up riding.
Based on this, would the RipCurrent be a better choice than the CrossCurrent? Thanks!
I ordered a 14 amp hr battery from DHGate ebikebattery store $375 and fit the frame perfectly. It also came with a free charger. Half the price of US resellers.
I'm about to pull the trigger on buying a CrossCurrent S2 from Juiced and have a weird dilemma about which frame size to pick. Based on my height I should obviously select the 16.5" frame. But for the last 2 years I've been riding an 18" mountain bike so I'm pretty used to that. Anyone with a CrossCurrent able to weigh in on how the frame measurements compare to standard mountain bikes / how comfortable you are with the size you chose? Thanks!
I was riding and I'll admit I am a pretty heavy guy at like 5th gear it will do a high pitch wine until it speeds up and then it will go away. I thought it was only my weight so I told my 100 pound sister to get on it and while starting off it also does this whine.
Is it because we start peddling while on gear 4-5 instead of always starting off at 1?
What are pros and cons between mudguards vs. fenders? Looks like minimalist vs. full?
And what would be specific ones you recommend available in Amazon or elsewhere? Would appreciate a link.
Thanks! I say this as the CCS2 just arrived in the nearest FedEx location and will be delivering to me by end of day tomorrow! Can't wait!
Hi all, got into a snag with immigrations and need to move back to Canada before Christmas Eve. Selling my ebike rather than hauling it home (my home city isnβt really bike friendly at all..).
For sale are two ebikes (mine and my GFs). Willing to consider any reasonable offers.
Juiced Bikes Crosscurrent S2 (XL frame size, 5β11β+) with extra 52v21ah battery for $1350, or $1500 with my good condition Bell Super DH convertible full face helmet and Kryptonite noose chain lock. Mods to the CC S2:
Aventon Level (Small frame size, 5β1β-5β8β) with Kryptonite chain lock. Note, this bike has been in an accident and the derailleur hanger was replaced. There is some cosmetic damages.

If you contact me via CL, mention the NYCBike reddit. I can throw in some Gaadi spare tubes (I bought them for emergency replacements, but havenβt had any flats yet!)
Hi there, I have a second-hand Crosscurrent Air and was thinking about putting a mountain bike suspension fork on it. Anybody done this? Any recommendations on what suspension forks work well? Iβm not super familiar with mountain bike parts but know my way around a road bike, so I can do the upgrade myself, Iβm just not sure what forks are suitable. Thanks!
Plastic bits fell out of the joint in my kickstand, and it became permanently locked in the standing position. Then, while removing it from the frame, a bolt snapped. Not a problem though, since it slipped right off the frame at that point. Still worrying though. I've talked to customer support about it back when it was out of stock. They said they'd send me a new one when it was back in stock.
I see that the kickstand on the Juiced website is back in stock at the time of this post, but I haven't received an email notifying me that the order's been made. In the case that they never get around to sending it out, does any body know a kickstand suitable for the CCX? I had bought an Ursus Jumbo stand, but it was a dumb purchase because it very clearly does not fit. Is it even possible to fit a center kickstand on the CCX?
Iβve had my eye on both these bikes, which is better and why?
Are Trek ebikes with mid drives or other mid drive ebikes better than JuicedBikes Crosscurrent X? which bosch mid drive is the best? I ride my JuicedBikes Crosscurrent X all over the place, uphills, flat road surfaces, rocky roads, etc. I feel like maybe I have should have gotten a Trek mid drive ebike for ease of riding especially at stop lights or in traffic, speed, or donβt use much power and go far on one charge. I donβt know if it my leg muscle thats weak but I find that I have to force down real hard to get going after a stop.
