A list of puns related to "Country And Western Music"
Romania had a brief openness to more Western music but from the 80's onwards all Western music was banned
Whatβs the difference? I understand people can get pretty pissed off about people referring to it all under the same banner.
I know Western is a type of Country/Folk, but I wanna know what exactly sets it apart from Southern music. Oh and what kind of Country is the most popular in the Midwest?
Far Western is a documentary and features quite a bit of bluegrass music. It's available for rent on Amazon.

Does anyone have a link to the video or know this one song that is featured in the video that I'm about to describe? Basically it's a group of young men in an apartment singing an older country song. They're using a bucket or something for an instrument along with other rudimentary supplies and the cameraman moves through the whole apartment eventually getting to the bathroom where a man is in the shower hitting his head against the wall in order to produce the beat. I cannot seem to find the video and I don't know the name of the song they're singing. The main singer may even be wearing a cowboy or western-style hat. The beat is faster and kinda choppy. What made me think of it was hearing the rhythm of my washing machine and my mind jumped to the kinds of videos people would make using their laundry machines to make a beat. It's smart to that. Thank you all so very much!
I'm currently on YouTube Music having had to transfer across from Google Play Music, and it is a hot mess. Great selection of Country and Western music, as Google Play Music had, but the Android app is a disaster.
I've tried Tidal, but the range of outlaw country and southern rock is limited unfortunately. I used Spotify before I went to Google Play Music a few years back, good range but crap user interface on the app (I use it to have music for driving so this is crucial). I'm looking into Amazon Music which seems to have an OK range but not sure what the app is like
I'm incredibly curious to hear experiences from westerners who moved to Singapore. I hear it often described as a benevolent dictatorship, so I'm curious whether that only plays out in obscure technical/legal sense or whether the "dictatorship" is actually felt in everyday life. The Singaporeans I've met abroad never gave me the impression that life there is difficult and oppressive one where people are constantly under the fear of the government. So I'm trying to reconcile my experience interacting with Singaporeans this with the description of Singapore as a "dictatorship". Thanks!
