A list of puns related to "Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music"
looking for bands similar to Night Moves and Bright light Social Hour. I love the modern rock and also hearing some old style influences, like I hear some Fleetwood Mac and allman brothers coming out in night moves especially. I would love some recommendations as Spotify and pandora have not been helpful.
Gotta keep it in the family.
Was listening to some older country music today and just started wondering what gives it the βtwinklyβ feeling a lot of it has?
Songs like βMammas, Dont Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboysβ by Waylon Jennings and βOkie from Muskogeeβ by Merle Haggard.
And the sound is more twang than twinkly, but twinkly still applies.
Sorry if this doesnβt fit here.
I love all of those movies and the way that they establish the atmosphere of Texas and the modern Southwest, I'd love any recommendations! Thank you!
Was reading up on the Meiji-era and came across these.
" The French government also contributed greatly to the training of Japanese officers. Many were employed at the military academy in Kyoto, and many more still were feverishly translating French field manuals for use in the Japanese ranks. "
" During the Meiji period, powers such as Europe and the United States helped transform Japan and made them realize a change needed to take place. Some leaders went out to foreign lands and used the knowledge and government writings to help shape and form a more influential government within their walls that allowed for things such as production. "
So I was wondering... what did the western governments have to gain from helping Japan industrialize so much. Where they all just hoping to add Japan to their sphere of influence, but if so, the lengths they went to makes it seem like they were willing to let Japan become more of a peer (ergo a potential power) than a potential client-state/protectorate.
Looking forward to your insights, cheers!
EDIT: What I'm getting from the comments is that I shouldn't use the Underage Tag because there's no explicit sex, but that people think that there still should be some kind of warning about the age of the characters. Thank you all for your help.
I really want to get a holistic and non-biased view. Would like to know more about their main point of dispute, wars, oil , OPEC, religion , nuclear and civil disputes. So would like to read different books to understand each participant's perspective.
I would also like to understand what are India's concern, how they affect India, and what have been and should be India's policy with respect to Gulf countries?
I think most former Soviet citizens of a certain age know who the rock band Kino is. By the way, the main singer was half Korean, his father belonged to the Korean diaspora deported by Stalin to Central Asia.
Can I expect the average European to know about Kino? Do average Europeans know about Soviet era films like The Irony of Fate (ΠΡΠΎΠ½ΠΈΡ ΡΡΠ΄ΡΠ±Ρ), read poetry like by Anna Akhmatova or watch cartoons like Nu Pagodi?
The elements that I am looking for are -
Hell or High water movie gave me a rich immersive experience and I loved all the characters so much. Also, I am living in a colder region and it gets really depressing sometimes, may be, that is why I enjoy watching movies which are set up in hot weather backdrop and dry lands..I would really appreciate if someone could recommend the movies which has these elements..if tose movies are on netflix, that would be a huge plus
Edit:
I have watched Sergio Leon trilogy, True Grit, Wind River
Thanks
