Why is Le Corbusier-style, Towers in the Parks, so popular in some regions of the world?

A large and (thankfully) unsuccessful projects of Le Corbusier was to bulldoze the old city of Paris and replace with the monstrosity called Tower in Parks.

While it failed in the home country of Le Corbusier, similar style can be seen in many countries. In my own country of Turkey, most neighborhoods are Towers in the Parks. Southeast Asia seems to have a similar thing going on.

What are the reasons for this? Is it because at the time it was the progressive modernist thing? Or is it more than an affectation?

Replacement cushions and straps for le corbusier LC1 chairs

Hi I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to get replacement cushions and straps for the LC1 chairs? I inherited a pair and they’re in desperate need of new cushions and straps. Does anyone know of a place that does this relatively affordably? Also I apologize if this is the wrong place, please let me know and I will post it elsewhere :)

Thank you!

Idk if it matters but I’m looking at either black leather or pony skin.

What impact/legacy did Le Corbusier have on urban planning?

Hi, some context on my question. I'm a first year uni student taking urban planning as a general ed. My first assignment is to give a presentation on the impact and legacy of an urban planning visionary and evaluate the relevancy of their ideas today. I'm struggling a lot to understand this stuff in general and have no idea whats going on. So far I've done extremely shallow research about the radiant city and his key ideas like urban greening, zoning etc. Would someone be able to explain to me his impact and legacy, as well as evaluate his ideas? A general basic explanation would be sufficient because I think it would help me understand the articles and give me a sense of direction. Thanks

EDIT: Thanks for the responses, gave me a good general idea and helped me understand the ideas a lot
