Hi, I will make Coq au Vin this Christmas but I am struggling to select the best wine for this dish (to brine the meat with, not to pair the dish with). Is it necessary to use a 'quality' wine for this or does it more about the acid in the wine that has it effect on the meat?
If anyone in this community could advise a perfect coq au vin wine that would be very much appreciated.

Hi guys, I was also bewildered by the weight of the in game dram so I tried to make the math to the best of my abilities and based on past posts here.
Past posts have noticed that the in game dram is a small mouthfull or close to a mouthfull which makes complete sense considering the state of the in game world and the sanctity of water sharing.
Wikipedia states: A male mouth can hold, on average, 71.2Β ml (2.51Β impΒ flΒ oz; 2.41Β USΒ flΒ oz), while a female mouth holds 55.4Β ml (1.95Β impΒ flΒ oz; 1.87Β USΒ flΒ oz) while a past post stated that the mouth could hold 120 - 125 ml of water.
We know that the waterskin holds 17 lbs which is aprox 7.71 Kg = 7.7 l of water.
So our average waterskin holds 7700 ml of water, which divided by 64 in game units is
120.3 ml = the measure of the in game Dram - which would be either one good drink or maybe two - depending on the creature or mutant. Quite enough to stave thirst for awhile I'd reckon.

My neighbor gifted me some large cocks. I made coq au vin many times before, but always with chicken and hen thighs, but never with real cocks. The thighs are great after a braise, but the breasts were inedible tough, even when I try poaching and just adding in at the end.
Anyway, Iβm thinking of making meatballs out of them and add them back in after browning, but I figure I check to see if anyone has experience or ideas dealing with cocks.
