Hi there, my dad has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He went in for a Whipple that was stopped early when they found the tumor has completely encased his hepatic artery. Has anyone had a similar situation? Iβm hoping his tumor shrinks enough to allow for surgery. I donβt know how that works exactly.. forgive me if I sound moronicβ¦ Does the tumor shrink and pull away allowing them to remove it? Is it possible that shrinking would break encasement? I donβt know what happens to a shrinking tumor. Iβm trying to stay positive and hopeful google is terrifying. The statistics are awful :(
Thank you for any input.
I was told that this was so common that several research papers were written about this.
So here's my question, whenever you go to a doctor and you complain of some joint pain, he will analyze and prescribe medication. After a bit, if you are able to, he will order some sessions with PT. A surgeon who fixed a broken part of the body will tell you to go to OT and/or PT after you gain strength and are stable enough.
I've yet to see a doctor order someone to go to a chiropractor. Why are they still allowed to have patients and bill insurances?
Also, what encounters have you had in residency with chiropractors? Whether it's seeing their patients after they mess them up or just telling one to eff off.
βRAS is defined as a vascular lesion that results in narrowing of the renal artery. As a consequence, reduction in renal blood flow to the affected kidney can occur.
In patients with acute, severe or refractory HYPERTENSION, the prevalence of TAS is reported to be as high as 10-40%
Renovascular HYPERTENSION is most profound in patients with bilateral RAS or RAS affecting a solitary kidney. In these patients rapid worsening HTN control and recurrent sudden onset pulmonary edema can occur. Longer term consequences can include congestive heart failure, hypertensive encephalopathy, intra-cerebral bleed, end stage kidney disease and aneurysm.β

Hello smart and kind people!
Page 529 of First Aid 2021 says that thrombotic strokes are "usually over a ruptured atherosclerotic plaque" and "commonly the Middle cerebral artery". Isn't atherosclerosis more common on the circle of willis? Why are thrombotic strokes more common in the MCA?
Thanks!

Hello!
Famous Faces of the Iliac Bay has been updated to version 1.1
It adds 11 new Unique NPCs (the fine fellows in the above banner), unique sprites for Lord and Lady Flyte of Anticlere and other minor changes.
For those who are not aware of this mod, it brings back the unique NPCs that have never appeared in the game, but had their own portraits and factions. In addition, it changes the sprites of regional rulers to fit their correct gender and make them stand out from other minor cities' rulers.
Enjoy. :)
I was questing down in the southeast of Skyrim tonight. Two things I came across made me wonder if we might see some reference to these in other provinces.
First, there's Keerava - the Argonian woman who runs the Bee and Barb. During the introductory quest for the Thieves Guild we find out she has family who owns a farm in Morrowind. Any chance we might be able to visit her family? Maybe they'd have a low disposition toward the Dragonborn if they're in the Thieves guild - in which case, we'd find a letter from Keerava in their farmhouse, warning them about us. But otherwise, I doub't we'd immediately realize they were family unless we did some snooping and found other letters between them to figure it out.
Second, for Iliac Bay, there's Lu'ah al-Skaven, the Redguard necromancer who has set up shop in the ruins of Ansilvund. Any chance we might run into her family in Skaven, wondering where she's disappeared to? If we've completed the quest "A Love Beyond Death," perhaps we could tell them her fate (or lie to them to spare some trauma). If the family still has any of her possessions, and we haven't already done A Love Beyond Death, maybe there could be some clues to point the Dragonborn in that direction. A copy of "Of Fjori and Holgeir," some book or map that points to the location of possible tombs were the two fated lovers were interred. Don't know if that could be a proper quest leading back to Skyrim, since last I heard cross-province quests would be tricky to manage, but just having the books and maps handy might help the player track down this side quest.
Hi, I was just thinking about the pre releases and iirc Bruma, New North and even the Elsweyr one were originally planned to be bigger but later scaled down to be more achievable. Is this true or am I wrong about it? Regarding IB, the pre release they are currently working on is, as we know, quite huge in comparison to the others. I was wondering if there is a likelihood of it being scaled down as well? Sorry if this has been asked before. Eternal thanks to devs for all the hard work! I just finally installed WoT and loving it a lot :)
