A list of puns related to "Clearway"
Alistair Vigier puts lawyers on his website WITHOUT their consent and REFUSES to remove them upon request. This should discourage anyone looking to work with him or seek his services. He has poor morals and ethics. STAY AWAY!
The Law Society Benchers should do something about him and take down his website. He is piggybacking on the hard work of others. He is trying to take an improper referral fee. I hope this gets the coverage it deserves!
There is a private FB group growing in numbers looking for justice and we will PAY handsomely if someone is willing/knows how to take this matter on. Some people who got screwed have deep pockets. DM me.
I think the unethical part is refusing to take down profiles upon request. Professionals should have a say in how their information is being used and with whom they are being "associated" with online. Potential customers/clients ought to know that lawyer profiles are HOSTAGE to clearway law and not "in association by choice". MONUMENTAL difference!
Looks like misrepresentation and deceiving the public? and IF I KNEW this I would not have been scammed and I would have found legal services from the actual lawyer themselves instead of the guy who is taking an improper referral fee on top for nothing while 'stealing' internet traffic from organic websites.
ClearWay Law hosts thousands of lawyer, paralegal, and law clerk profiles on their webpage WITHOUT their consent, and steals internet traffic and leads by charging $60 to 'connect you' with the professionals. They REFUSE to remove your profile along with your personal information.
Most professionals don't even realize they are 'associated' with ClearWay. The CEO Alistair Vigier is a scam artist with a bad track record according to other subs and reviews online. #ClearWayLaw Scam
My driveway backs directly onto a clearway (aka red route / has a no stopping sign) and isn't big enough to turn around on.
Ordinarily I follow the highway code advice and reverse into driveways. However, technically, to reverse into my driveway, I would need to first stop on a clearway and wait for traffic to clear or stop. If I drive in, I have to reverse my van blindly onto a very busy road, which seems dangerous.
The law makes an exception for "a vehicle which is prevented from proceeding by circumstances beyond the driverβs control or which has to be stopped in order to avoid injury or damage to persons or property;" (https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2016/362/schedule/7/part/6/made). Applying this to reversing into a driveway seems like a stretch, but I suppose you could make the argument that stopping to reverse in avoids injury or damage...
The safest thing to do is clearly to reverse in, but legally it feels like reversing out is best. What should one do?
a friends partner recently mentioned falling victim to this scam and I did some light searching and it appears to be a national issue. Does anyone know more about this? It is hard to find anything beyond their BBB page and a couple articles.
They are newly in my state scamming but I found an article from 2017 that they were taking advantage of people in the midwest trying to basically sell 'solar timeshares' with contracts that essentially can't be broken.

There's this option on all the TFW brands for a location based network optimizer. You are automatically opted in, so you have to turn it off to opt-out. (Edit: It appears this feature is part of the app. See comments.)
I disable location based services as much as possible, only leaving them on for services that I want to track me. I always assume that they will track my location and sell it to advertisers -- and that that's the least of evils with location tracking.
I had a chat today, not expecting much, and got these presumably company provided responses. Interestingly, there is absolutely nothing I can find on any TFW brand site or blog about what this option does.
I asked about video, because I wanted to make sure it was not the same as DATAOPT, which removes the cap on streaming video. If anything, it seems important to turn off Network Optimization as well as DATAOPT.
Me: What is the Network Optimizer? It says it measures your network connection based on location. This allows for continual imporovements to call reception and network quality.
But what exactly does it do?
TFW: Network Optimization refers to the tools, techniques, and best practices used to monitor and enhance network performance. Network performance monitoring includes measuring traffic, bandwidth, jitter, and latency caused by the likes of insufficient infrastructure or inadequate network security.
Me: Does it have anything to do with limiting video quality to 480p?
TFW: Yes, it could cause that. If the signal in your area is not sufficient to handle higher resolution videos, it will lower the quality to avoid interruption on streaming.
A guy knocked on my door this week and when I answered - (yes, I opened the door to a stranger - I used to be a Jehovah's Witness so I have a soft spot for random people who knock on your door to annoy you) - he said he was going door to door to make sure people were receiving a credit on their electricity bill that they were already supposed to be receiving from the state. He said he wasn't selling anything and only needed to see a copy of my electric bill to make sure I was receiving this credit.
Already sounds kind of fishy, right? He was wearing a logo shirt for Clearway Energy, but he kept insisting that he was there to make sure people were getting a credit on their electricity bill provided by the state of Massachusetts due to the installment of roadside solar farms that we, as consumers, have been paying for in small increments on our electricity bills. He said that this service was ABSOLUTELY FREE and if I sign something indicating that I want to receive the credits, that I could save 7% on my monthly electricity bill. I just need to submit to a soft credit pull first.
I told him that his spiel sounded shifty, made so sense, and I wanted to research his company for myself before I signing up for anything, at which point he really started applying high-pressure sales tactics, all for something that he was STILL somehow insisting was free and he was just there to do a community good to make sure us consumers were getting free stuff already entitled to us. Eventually, mercifully, he went away but said he would be back.
Well, I sure did look them up and, let me tell you, literally every word out of this guy's mouth was a bald-faced lie. This company is basically a timeshare but for solar panels. You rent a piece of their infrastructure and in exchange you're supposed to receive a credit for the solar energy your panel puts out. Then you receive a monthly bill from Clearway for renting the panel that will theoretically be less than the solar credit. You pay the bill, Massachusetts is in no way involved and I'm going to make a wild leap here and assume that this guy going door to door works on commission.
If you think this guy who came to my door is just a one-off bad apple, you would be wrong. Check out their profile on the Better Business Bureau, with whom they have a D Rating: [https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/houston/profile/solar-energy-development/clearway-energy-0915-90052206/customer-reviews](https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/houston/profile/solar
... keep reading on reddit β‘I haven't enrolled in autopay because it offers no discount on the $50 Super Unlimited and I have 6,000 ($60) bonus points coming available next month.
The app was slow so I switched to browser Firefox on Android to purchase my plan, and this appeared:
https://imgur.com/VmXpwUg
I didn't take it because I may not be on this plan for 3 months. But if I settle in I'll surely take it if they offer it again.
Has anyone else has seen this "limited time offer"? Maybe even on a different brand, like Total Wireless or Straight Talk?
IMO Net10 Super Unlimited is a great value for truly unlimited data with free international calling. You can get Net10 on all the towers: VZW, TMO, ATT and even SPR.
If you ever sign up for Net10 or Total Wireless, feel free to PM me for referral codes to get $50 or more in points redeemable for service.
Traveling scam artists (essentially) going around trying to get people to buy into community solar. They will lie to your face and tell you "absolutely no cost to you ever" and will only "save you money on your electric bill".
This a essentially a solar farm time share and once you are in it is almost impossible to escape their contracts.
The thing that got me was (almost) was that it was framed as a state of IL "green initiative" that made it seem like it was more of a government service rather than a personal subscription.
TLDR: Clearway Community Solar is a scam, will lie to your face for your signature on a binding contract.
When I was using the Philips dreamstation before the recall, the dreammapper app was showing in a 7 1/2 hour sleep that I had
AHI of ~10
Total clear airway apnea 36
Total obstructive apnea 6
Total hypnopneas 40
I'm wondering what these numbers mean overall. Seems like my airway is obstructed but not fully closed? I'm also wondering if this is due to my sinus congestion. I heard ideally we want the AHI to be less than 5. Should I talk to my doctor about this? When I was originally diagnosed, I did an in home test and my AHI was ~6.
Hey everyone, I live on a main road with a clearway. So usually outside of lockdown conditions I have to move my car so it isn't towed. I've been able to leave my car on the road during lvl 4, but does anyone know when these will become clear ways again? My car hasn't been towed during lvl 3 yet, wondering if perhaps these rules will apply in lvl 2?
To add a bit more detail.
The lane is marked as a clearway at all times. 6am rolls around and delivery trucks start piling in, one after another. There are shops nearby so thatβs to be expected, however they are now parking down the lane, and leaving the engine running & the warning signal and dear Christ the fucking noise.
As the day processes more delivery vans like in to the point if you have the window open you just hear drivers fighting over people blocking them, or worse yet parking literally across the door so you canβt leave the building.
Today a group of builders have showed up and decided itβs their car park and unloading bay, blocking the door with their equipment.
Itβs starting to turn into a massive pain, especially as my window is right next to it and with the summer weather the windows are open. Iβm woke every day at 6 while these delivery trucks park in the lane.
In this situation am I better contacting DCC parking enforcement or going to local councillors to see if they can perhaps get a bollard installed at the end of the road?
Any thoughts on who has better data speeds?
Thanks Reddit Community
This maybe unpopular but what the hell.
Brighton-Le-Sands is a traffic corridor, it funnels all the traffic south from Southern Cross Drive to the highway for the South Coast and towards the Sutherland Shire.
The Princess Highway south is now a permanent clearway & Brighton-Le-Sands should be as well. For the sakes of typically 30 odd cars parking there's traffic snarls in both directions.
How do we make this happen without the govt offering the standard solution of "Build a tolled tunnel"?
Whatβs the difference between double yellow dashes on the kerb by yellow lines on the road and clearways?
My understanding is that you can load and unload on yellow lines but canβt stop at all when there are dashes on the kerb, but this is the same as a clearway.
I thought that maybe you are allowed to really quickly drop people off and pick them up where there are dashes. Is this right?
