A list of puns related to "Chrysanthemum Throne"
Due to the new Japanese Emperor's ascension to the Throne, the Japanese Monarchy faces a succession crisis due to his brother the new Crown Prince and his nephew (the new Crown Prince's only son) His Imperial Highness Prince Hisahito being the only male heirs to the Throne of Japan's Dynastical Succession, will the Japanese politicians change their constitution anytime soon to reinstate the Branches of the Imperial Family and the Aristocracy to expand the imperial family?
I am asking this because MacArthur's oversee primary motive to abolish the aristocracy and the branches of the Imperial Family is to bring about democratic changes; however, he did not account for or foresee a possible succession crisis in the modern era so now there's a succession crisis by abolishing the branches of the imperial family and the aristocracy. In addition, due to the Japanese's strict conservative traditions and values and due to the current succession laws, the Emperor and the Immediate Families are not allowed to take a consort/concubine or adopt a male from one of the former imperial branches.
Historically, most of the kazoku (formalized peerage nobility) were descendants of branches of princes from the Imperial Family of Japan (the famous Saga and Tokugawa houses are some examples of nobility houses that branches off from the various branches of the princely houses of the Imperial Family). Therefore, the male descendants from the Japanese nobilities may be entitled to the throne of Japan after the main family, immediate families, and branches of the Imperial family lack a male heir.
MacArthur and the Allied Occupation were partially to blame for this due to implementing a specific portion of Article 14 of the current post-war constitution for the sake of "liberal democracy" stated that:
"Peers and peerage shall not be recognized.
No privilege shall accompany any award of honor, decoration, or any distinction, nor shall any such award be valid beyond the lifetime of the individual who now holds or hereafter may receive it."
Hence, will we see the politicians undoing or abolishing of some of MacArthur's "Ideals" to reinstate the traditions with the Emperor having a consort to continue the dynastical successions to the Imperial Families with the Imperial Princesses marrying high nobility with the ranks of Princes (non-Imperial) to no less than a Marquess. Moreover, will we see the reinstated half-blooded Imperial Princes creating new princely houses in the Im

So basically, I've done everything you need to do for this achievement; yes, I've conquered Okinawa, Jeju and colonized The Kurils. Now, I go to look at the in-game achievement menu and Chrysanthemum Throne isn't even in the list! I swear I'm not blind, can someone please tell me why or how the achievement disappeared. If you know how to fix it please tell me!!!!
So I'm playing as the Ashikaga and thus have easily beat "Japan" and the southern court but I would prefer not claim the Chrysanthemum Throne since historically speaking it seems a bit odd to me even if since I'm not a specialist so I may be wrong there and I'm wondering if it may be problematic for what follow. Will there be some event I won't get of things like that?
The text for this achievement says "unite Japan as a daimyo". What precisely does this mean?
Of course, I have to start out as anyone but the Ashikaga. I assume it's okay to take Kyoto and become Shogun; is this correct? I also assume it means you have to hold off on the "unite Japan" decision until after taking everything in the region (including Okinawa and Ainu). Finally, do I have to hold the whole thing personally, or can I have a few vassal daimyo?
For centuries, the Netherlands has prospered in its trade with the many tribes and kingdoms of the world. Valuable commodities have passed through the hands of Dutch traders in volumes hitherto unseen in human history. Our vast commercial network has not only served to prosper the fatherland but has also come to enrich those with which the Dutch trade. Ever a benevolent and proactive power, the Netherlands now seeks to expand its trading relationships with the kingdoms of the far east, for their benefit as much as ours. To that end, His Majesty King William I has dispatched emissaries to the noble courts of His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor of Japan, and His Majesty, the King of Siam.
##Tokugawa Shogunate (ๅพณๅทๅนๅบ):
Trade between our two empires has been carried out in an official capacity for over 200 years. This relationship has been of great benefit to His Imperial Majesty and will be of even greater consequence now that Japan has begun to embrace the modern world. That being said, our commercial relationship can only develop so much when the Netherlands is prohibited from sending more than two ships to Japanese shores per year. In addition to remedying this issue, Dutch-Japanese ties could be expanded with the further development of the Port of Dejima, the clarification of its legal status, and the establishment of equality between the Dutch and Japanese peoples and regal courts. King William I therefore proposes the following treaty, to be concluded between His Imperial Highness and His Majesty as equals.
THE TREATY OF HEIAN-KYล:
Article I:
This Treaty hereby recognises the innate equality that exists between the Japanese people and the citizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. These two peoples, equal in civilisation and dignity, shall therefore commit themselves to peaceful cooperation in the pursuit of prosperity and knowledge. His Imperial Highness the Emperor of Japan and His Majesty the King of the Netherlands shall also hold each other in equal esteem as sovereigns of great empires. Consequently, future travelling missions to Edo (ๆฑๆธ) shall not be made in the Netherlandsโ capacity as a Japanese tributary state, but as a display of both nationsโ commitment to the maintenance of a harmonious cultural and commercial partnership.
Article II:
This Treaty hereby recognises the natural longing of His Imperial Highness and His Majesty for a deeper commercial relationship between the Tokugawa Shogunate and the Kingdom of the Netherlan

Emperor Naruhito has been for over a year delaying the appointment of a crown prince. Today the reasoning became clear. In an usual occurrence, the Emperor convened a press conference outside of the Tokyo Imperial Palace to make a speech regarding why he had not done so.
"Some time last year I went in for medical tests after experiencing abdominal pain for several weeks, my doctor has today told me that I have advanced stage pancreatic cancer that will certainly be terminal. I would like to be allowed to decline in peace and spend my remaining time aiding the Japanese people through charity work."
"In a few hours time I will meet with the Prime Minister and ask him to change the succession laws so that my daughter Princess Aiko my succeed me as Emperor. I know that this may be controversial, and a break with Imperial traditional, but Japan is a modern country and this is certainly not the first break with tradition."
"Princess Aiko who recently turned 19 is a strong and capable young lady and I ask that the Prime Minister agree to amend the rules so that she may follow me. I have every faith in her."
Sources close to the Prime Minister has said that he is furious. Firstly, he had never supported a change in the succession law in 2006 when the topic was brought up and still does not to this day. Likewise, he feels that the timing of this is awful with him facing a tough reelection bid he has been put between a rock and a hard place. He can either irritate members of his Conservative base or the general public by ignoring a dying man's last wish. He knew he had to acquiesce but how? Akie Abe, a sometimes controversial supporter of Equal rights, had a compromise to propose...
Aiko would succeed, but so to would Prince Hisahito (her cousin). They would wed and become Co-Emperors and so appease both reformists and conservatives at once. Yes Shinzล thought. That might just work.
