A list of puns related to "Cato Institute"
https://www.freedominthe50states.org/personal
I'm a CA transplant who came here for more freedom and less commie BS, but 49 in personal freedom?? Come on guys, we gotta do better than this!
Thomas A. Firey, a Cato institute senior fellow, wrote a piece for EconLib about the minimum wage. In it, he concluded not only that it should be abolished, but that the federal government - in direct violation of subsidiarity - should bar local and state governments from enacting their own minimum wage laws.
This just further goes to show that βlibertarianismβ is not about small government, but rather about a government confused in itβs aims. When a government aims not to protect the common good, but to protect βindividual libertyβ and βnegative rightsβ, it does not become βsmallerβ. Itβs aim simply becomes to serve the aim of some individuals and not others, hurting everyone as a whole.
If such a state of affairs were to come about, peaceful secession would be necessary. Local and state bodies politic must exert their right to full autonomy and not allow a bloated, centralized organization to frustrate the aim of the common good.
Thoughts?
whatβs so bad about making it illegal for 10 year olds to work?
The vision of the Cato Institute is to create free, open, and civil societies founded on libertarian principles.
Prof. Steve H. Hanke's below endorsement of my book illustrates how true libertarians think that bitcoin is a cult. Bitcoin is not libertarian. It is a cult.

"Bernie Is Not aΒ Socialist and America Is Not Capitalist"
I found this article interesting. Briefly glancing on any pop culture website, one can see that the majority views America as a 100% capitalist country. This article argues that America is not fully capitalist, which I believe is glaringly obvious. Thoughts on this article?
For those of you who were curious, here's the media bias evaluation for this source: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/cato-institute/. It falls on "Right-Center", and scores "High" for factual reporting. It's a fairly reliable source.
Do these institute exist to solely spread their ideas or enforce/support their agendas? Are these public or funded by government to increase soft power of the country?
