Dear Bulgarians, as a Greek I have of course noticed that there is a plethora of expensive cars registered in Bulgaria, as well as a lot of imports from Asia and the United States. Considering wages are relatively low, how can so many people afford all these cars? I am not trying to insinuate anything harmful towards the financial capabilities of the Bulgarian people, I am just genuinely curious. Thank you
Couple of days ago we had a post about UK energy prices. Just so that you all don't forget that energy companies are a scam, let's take a look at electricity prices on this snowier side of the Alps.As electricity prices are at all time high here in Finland, that naturally means that TWO energy companies keeled over this year.That was the first time ever that a energy company went bankrupt here. And you know why? This shit used to be heavily regulated state monopoly until about ten years ago when the state and municipalities privatised/sold most of their grids and energy companies. Which obviously led to to companies like this - wich makes half a billion in revenue, pays 75mil in dividends and all 12mil in taxes as one million people have no other option than to be extorted by it. But hey, it's reports lists the gender structure of it's employees.
Thanks 25 years of right-wing governments. Big hand everybody. And thanks EU for providing the drive and framework for that sale theft.
And if you thinks I'm too pessimistic, well the combined might of most Finnish energy companies did manage to build a nuclear plant. (at least that world-class fuckup can partially be blamed on the french. And the mafia and it's treatment of bulgarian migrant workers, and of course good old local bred mistreatment of workers, migrant and otherwise.) A showcase of comically incompetent and evil in action, in 21 stupid fucking years.
(And if you wonder why I wrote this? Ranting to vent, that's why. It was originally supposed to be a slight jab at brits and their "high prices", but then I unfortunately woke up and remembered where I live.)

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
