I actually think Brynn was treated the best out of the girls by Abby on the show. She occasionally made comments about how Brynn couldn't use her face/act but they weren't as nasty as comments she made about other girls. Even though I agree with Holly she tried to push Brynn into a leadership role when it wasn't really natural for her, she also never abused her emotionally like she did to Maddie. Too bad the mom's ruined Brynn's experience.
Also when Abby dismissed Sarah Reasons from the show it was the most respectful she's ever let anyone go from the team I've ever seen. All she said was "I really enjoyed working with her, she has a bright future, just not with this team." Usually it's you suck, you're too tall, etc. from Abby when she cuts people.
But I’m watching Dance Moms past season 4 for the first time and my GOD, I cannot believe how awful they are to this child! Straight up badgering and egging a child on, making fun of her, belittling her…I did not realize how bad it really was. Poor kid!
I'm thinking of changing my name (by which I mean obsessing over for 15+ years), or at least going by a shorter pen name/nickname for work in a creative field.
Bronwyn -> Brynn
What do you think? Is it an upgrade or downgrade?
My main reason for wanting to edit it is that I always balk when I have to introduce myself because I find my name, 'Bronwyn' difficult to pronounce (I do have dyspraxia).
I need to really slow down and concentrate, or I'm going to say 'm' in place of the first 'n'. It sounds like I don't know my own name.
Other people have trouble saying and spelling it too.
Other reasons include:
- Bronwyn is a solid boomer name where I live and I've had a few people say they expected someone older, when I'm a millennial. I get it, I feel like Bronwyns come into being fully developed in their 40s or 50s as wealthy conservative politicians. Maybe when I'm older I'll grow into it, but so far it feels like a mismatch.
- I've been bullied for my name (because of a politician), and associate it with being in trouble, abuse, depression and failure. There's just a little bit of baggage there!
I don't want to upset my parents, so a pseudonym is how I'd put it to them. I don't expect them to change what they call me.
I'm leaning towards just shortening my name to Brynn (Evans).
I've test-driven it for a couple of years online, and I'm neutral-to-fine with it. It feels lighter and brighter to me, like a weight off.
I've tried it out with friends and they've said go for it, but they are my friends who love me and would support me whatever I did. They're not objective at all.
So I'd really like to hear some internet strangers' honest opinions!

Im not gonna lie, the first couple of seasons, Jill was one of my favourite dance moms, but some of the things she does/says make me really dislike her. I'm mainly talking about her being rude to Brynn and Ashlee. I dont even like Ashlee or Brynn tbh but i feel so bad for them in some of the situation.
One is when Brynn gets her jacket, That scene infuriates me so much because Jill is so rude, her and Melissa were questioning Brynn's trio winning and when Abby told them she had asked the judges and they said Brynn's trio had one Jill was saying "that's ridiculous". Ifelt really bad for Brynn. And when they went back to the dressing room, jill said the she hadn't said the competition was rigged, yes she might not have said those exact words but she certainly indicated that she thought there had been a mistake in the judging. Also in this scene when Brynn is handed her jacket all the kids and moms clap and Jill says "I will not rejoice for Brynn getting a spot on the team" or somethin, it was just so rude, she should have put her problems with Ashlee aside and been happy with a new member on the team
Another instance is when Abby asks Brynn to go to the People's Choice Awards with her. Brynn wasnt a permanent member on the team yet and Jill was being so rude saying she shouldnt get to go because shes not a real member. All the commotion causes Abby to not bring Brynn, she then asks all the other dancers to go and they say no because they say they would feel bad for Brynn. Then Abby asks Jill, AND SHE SAYS YES! Then she has the audacity to be like " im not taking away Brynn's opportunity, i would never do that, it was all Abby, BUT SHE WAS THE REASON ABBY GOT MAD IN THE FIRST PLACE AND DECIDED TO NOT BRING BRYNN! ugh i get really annoyed about it.
And yet another time, when the whole "pajama" prank was going on, when all the moms showed up really late to dance in their pajamas. Their daughters couldnt dance because they could not go on camera without their moms there, Ashlee was the only mom who showed up because no one told her about the prank, therefore Brynn got a private and learnt a solo. When the moms finally showed , Jill was the first to loose her head saying it was all Ashlee's fault and Ashlee could have talked to production to let the girls dance but she couldnt have because shes not their guardians. It really annoyed me because the moms realised they had made a mistake and tried to blame it on Ashlee even though it wasnt her fault.

The next day, the moms question why Brynn skipped school and Ashlee claims she was sick. The mothers then come after Ashlee because Brynn is “sick”, but attending dance and tumbling. Ashlee immediately starts to get upset, like sobbing and visibly highly anxious.
Personally I 100% believe that Brynn took the morning off because of the incident the day before. Sure she wasn’t sick, but it was disgusting of the mothers to come after a child for taking a day off school for mental health. They also know as well as anyone that dance is the kids job, they have to go to work.
It’s upsetting to see how obvious this was and makes me wonder about all the other incidents that were misrepresented.
Ok we are having our second daughter in a couple weeks. Our first is Paige Renee and have chosen Kathleen as a middle name (sisters name), but can’t decide on a 1st name. Quinn or Brynn? Or other one syllable names?
I don't know if this is something that was ninja added in a hot fix patch, or if it's common knowledge. But the Brynn Pawn shop sells all tier 3 and tier 4 treatise at base reputation, excluding pyro and geo 4. Book 3's are just under 7k.
This means you can save at the inn before looking at his inventory and fairly easily save scum a treatise for your build.
Be prepared to loot it in the next dungeon you run though!
I believe Brynn was going to be a teacher/cofounder at The Studio of Arizona, a new studio. Did anything ever come of that? They were supposed to open five months ago.
I know that Ashlee isn’t everyone’s favorite person, I mean some of her comments were pretty uncalled for like calling Kendall a smarta** but how the moms treated her daughter was just flat out despicable.
I mean have Jill scolding Brynn to her face and calling Brynn a crybaby, a bad actress and stupid. Not to mention that she and Kira made Ashlee cry because she got called out for bullying Ashlee online.
Then there Jess, she constantly made fun of Brynn’s acting and would constantly criticize her. I also want to talk about how this mom named Mariel lied about Brynn not wanting to do the duet with her son. I’m sorry but screw that witch!
Another thing I wanna point out is that Holly always calls the other moms cowards when she never lifts a finger when the other moms are bullying Brynn, in fact she even goes out of her way to make excuses for them.
Seems pretty cowardly to me. Lastly I just wanted to say that Melissa was in on the bullying as well.
Conclusion: To me these moms are pretty pathetic and miserable if their gonna bullying a kid and then make excuses to cover their a**es.

I vaguely remember a scene (probably season 6) where Ashlee says that Kendall made a rude comment to Brynn, one of the other girls said ‘Kendall you shouldn’t say that’ and Kendall replied ‘I was just kidding’. I’ve been looking for a clip of this on YouTube but can’t seem to find it, does anyone know anything about that scene?
They can repair your gears, but they wont sell you anything until you do the bailiffs "tasks"(a.k.a bribes). The guild is full of corrupted bastards. After talking to them the first time, you can return to the quartermaster to ask for the recommendation letter which he said will allow you to buy stuff from them if you have high reputation enough with brynn, but in fact it just reduced the bribes you need to give them or just to allow you to bribe them.
-the blacksmith bailiff: upon talking to him the first time, you can either praise his fashion style or criticize him, if you chose to praise his bribe will be 1 elven ice wine (can be bought from berat the elven trader), 1 golden candelabrum and 1 decorated inkpot (can be bought in the pawn shop), and his bribe wont change now even if you have the quartermaster letter. If you chose to criticize him, you will need the letter to bribe him but this time he would ask for 3 elven ice wine.
-the leatherworking bailiff: to bribe him you need 2000 crowns. If you have the letter, he will only ask for 1000 crowns
-the carpentry bailiff: you can only bribe him if you have the letter and he would ask for a Ruby (luckily you can bought it in the jewelry shop nearby).
after the tasks were done, you can only buy from them after 19h (i think? idk the exact time, but its evening before they go to bed) from the bailiffs themselves on the 2nd floor of the workshop
edit: And sadly, none of them want to buy your looted weapons

I’ve heard many people on this sub say this so I’m gonna input some things (don’t come after me haha I’m not a dancer, just observing). A lot of people say Kalani and Brynn are boring to watch but honestly I feel like that’s cuz of Abby’s choreography not matching them. Their pre-show dances are out of this world phenomenal and the dances were actually interesting to watch due to cool technique and good execution. As we all know, Abby’s choreo is really rather technically not as challenging and very repetitive so watching Kalani and Brynn on the show was boring in that sense. And yes, they do know how to act and their bodies and facials really show it when they dance to their ability. And even on the show, I honestly didn’t mind their “dull facials” because it was more subtle and genuine and less over the top.
