I have a weird craving for it (my grandparents used to make it on special occasions). Anyone know where I can buy it? Bonus points for buying it already cooked!

Spot Shrimp Roe - Bottarga?
In the spirit of using everything from an animal, while cleaning some spot Shrimp last night, I scraped off some roe. I'm wondering if I can use the roe to make Bottarga or anything useful (she crab soup, etc?)
If possible I think Bottarga would be neat, if safe, possible and good.
Thoughts?

I found some fresh cods roe at the fish mongers the other day. I love bottarga and so Iβve started by curing the roe for two days in sea salt.
