A list of puns related to "Blithe"
I was searching for info about them in past posts here, but it seems like all people really were talking about is from a few years back, and how Glow Recipe was really pushing them for some reason. I was wondering if anyone actually uses them & likes them and if they're worth checking out, or if they're kind of just too expensive and not super worth it. They seem interesting but I'm not sure if it's just clever marketing.
Blithe notices a flower in The Germans pocket. "That's 'Edelweiss'. That only grows in the alps above the tree line, which means he climbed up there to get it. It's supposed to be the mark of a true soldier." says Nixon.
I wish the series made a better effort in fixing their mistake. They said Pvt. Blithe died in combat during the Carentan campaign. But he survived and recovered. He later served in the Korean War as a soldier in the 187th Airborne regiment. He did so much for our country!
Wow - that was intense. Best scene so far for me. Blithe admits he was afraid & fell asleep, didn't look for his unit. Spiers tells him "You hid in that ditch because you think there's still hope. But Blithe, the only hope you have is to accept the fact that you're already dead." There's more, but wow.

Synopsis: A spiritualist medium holds a seance for a writer suffering from writer's block but accidentally summons the spirit of his deceased first wife, which leads to an increasingly complex love triangle with his current wife of five years.
Review: So I had no clue that this movie was produced let alone with the actors that are included in this movie. I remember reading the Noel Coward playback in college many moons ago and can vaguely remember some of the details of the plot. I can confidently say that the screenwriters adapting the play took A LOT of liberties in trying to "refresh" (for lack of a better word) the play. There were few moments that made me smirk or expel air out my nose as a sign of slight giggle but overall, the film was very flat for me. It was disappointing to see especially with the given cast list that includes Dame Judi Dench as the spiritualist. If you are familiar with Noel Coward's plays, they tend to be somewhat quickfire with the dialogue and it just seemed that the movie did not utilize that and made a number of scenes drag. I can't fully dislike this film because I did like some scenes but I certainly wouldn't plan on seeing this again.
