A list of puns related to "Ben Hogan"
Love this set, favorite irons I have ever owned but been playing less so looking to move to a new set. I know if I don't sell them, I won't give my new set a proper try because I'll keep going back to these. I bought these in February 2020, they replaced my p770s and they out performed expectation.

This may not be new to many of you, but as I see many recommend this book, it might be worth mentioning. In an interview with Fred Greene, Eben Dennis gives an account on what Ben Hogan said to him about his book.
"Son, if you're stupid enough to follow what that book says, then you don't deserve to be playing golf, because that's a description my golf swing, based on my injuries and my abilities, it is not anything to do with what you're capable of".
During a recent Pro lesson I was recommended to consider switching to stiff shafts since my swing speed turned out to be not as slow as I thought it was (no measurement, though, just the Pro's impression).
Now, not having a lot of money to spare, I came across a used set of Ben Hogan Apex Edge irons (3-E) offered for 100β¬ as a negotiation basis and I am now reconsidering my vow not to spend any more money on clubs until I finally get fitted.
I currently play a set of Komperdell Game improvement Irons (I keep confusing the model name) with regular shafts and I actually like them. However, the Pro instilled the feeling that besides some swing changes that I'm working on, stiff shafts might also help me with consistency.
Now:Does anyone play the Ben Hogan Apex Edge? How good are the actually? Internet reviews are over the moon...Does it matter what kind of stiff shaft they have?
And finally:How stupid would it be to get stiff irons but keep my regular woods/driver?
And boy, are those some sexy irons...
I got a killer deal on a 4 club set of Hogan Ft Worth 15 irons. Iβm just struggling to figure out exactly which irons I have. They only list the loft on them, and this set came with a 46 degree, 40 degree, 34 degree, and a 28 degree. Iβm thinking itβs a PW, 9/8 iron, 7 iron, and a 6/5 iron. Iβm hoping one of the Ben Hogan OGβs will be able to shed some light on this.
I've read Ben's Hogans book cover to cover, watched countless YouTube videos regurgitating Ben Hogan, and took one lesson which was just Ben Hogan LIVE on ICE
What's next? I go to practice, and I'm definitely a lot better than the one time I played golf before the book, but I'm still abysmal. When I'm feeling good I'm hitting 2/3 of my swings, I'm fat every 3/4 shots, I can't get extension right and I feel like everything I do is stiff and wrong.
What's the right way to practice for someone who can't even hit the ball consistently? What else should I look into to improve just to get to some sort of baseline. I would kill just to be a 30 handicap.
Iβm on my second set of irons from Ben Hogan (currently the PTx Pros) and Iβve always wondered who actually makes them. They assemble the clubs in Fort Worth but I donβt think theyβre manufactured there.
I know at one time they were owned by Callaway, but I assume now that theyβre independent again that they have someone else manufacture their clubs overseas.
A friend of mine said the new Ben Hogan irons are amazing so I signed up for their emails, and now I get an email at least every day now trying to get me to try an iron and keep it or return it. Has anyone done the Ben Hogan try and buy offer, any comments or advice?

They are super flexible and comfortable and fit perfect.
The way he describes everything in detail speaks to me. There were obvious things I was doing in my swing that I changed that were never mentioned in any MAMG or Ricky Shiels videos.
For example. Something so easy and obvious but having the inside of your elbows facing directly up with your elbows pointing to your hip bones. In my swing never once did I make the full extension of my arms to have my elbow pits facing directly up. It has helped my driver tremendously and Iβm Wondering why no one has ever told me that in any instruction video or unsolicited golf tips on the range.
If you havenβt read it I suggest picking it up.
