watch this video and look at how many times Luka cant get past a defender or loses the ball because of slow handles. Luka has tightened up his ballhandling immensely, both in pressure situations and on drives, and it facilitates his his entire game. The Luka from two years ago could never be taking Kawhi/PG into a pick and roll and tearing them apart. Could he be Curry/Kyrie like in a few years?

##Notes
The point guard position on paper looks filled up, but the Warriors will most likely still be looking to add a solid two-way guard who can play behind Steph Curry.
Poole had a very strong sophomore year and will look to build on that as a mainstay in the rotation moving forward. However, he projects as more of a combo-guard and mostly played backup PG out of necessity this season. Kerr will probably want to add a more natural, defensively solid PG to supplement Poole in the second unit.
Payton II was solid in limited minutes and stylistically does fit a need for the Warriors. He's an exceptional defender, who can move the ball, move without it, and so far has knocked down his shots. The question will be if he's good enough, especially offensively, to contribute to this team consistently and carve out a spot in the rotation. He's on a non-guaranteed deal that partially guarantees for $659k ten days into free agency and then guarantees for another $659k on the opening night. Depending on what the Warriors do in the draft and during free agency, Payton might have a chance of making the roster if they don't address their PG depth elsewhere and can't find someone better on a minimum.
Mannion showed a few flashes during his rookie year and is still a very young prospect at 20 years of age. The Warriors seem to like him, and it would be surprising if they don't extend a qualifying offer for him on August 1st and bring him back on another two-way. Mannion's chances of being a part of the rotation are slim, but he can be a development project at one of the two-way spots and play heavy minutes in the G League.
##Expectations
Point guard is probably not their biggest priority depending on how comfortable they feel about Poole, but we should expect the Warriors to try to upgrade at that position if possible.
Myers said during his end-of-season presser that they want to add more veterans in free agency and specifically an offensive-minded, playmaking guard.
So the Warriors will be looking for a point guard who is capable of running the offense. Someone with good playmakin

Like a tic tac toe board with side lines. Maybe 4 ft across. Used.for ballhandling and footwork. What the heck are they called?
Editor's Note: Fucking hell, this is going to be 3 parts now
Let me say this off the top, some of these trades will make us worse on paper. It will be a talent downgrade, but, in my opinion, a fit upgrade. Another incredibly important factor, I am operating under the assumption that we cannot keep Fournier, Kemba, and Smart long term. If ownership is willing to pay to keep all three of those guys long term, that changes the calculous on some of these deals. That said, ownership has not shown a willingness to go deep into the tax for multiple years in a row, so that is where I'm coming from. I believe all of these trades work from a salary perspective, or are close enough that a minimum guy here or there could be added to make it work.
If you didn't read part 1, please do, because this will make zero sense if you haven't. I'm going to hit us with some reasonable actually acquirable options, and then 1 or 2 blockbusters that have about 0% chance of happening. Ok, in the words of Nappy Roots, let's begin now.
Tatum as Primary Ballhandler
Just to sum up what we are looking for if we fully commit to Tatum as our primary ball hander, we are looking for a nominal point guard who can run a pick and roll and hit catch and shoot 3s, and we are looking for a stretch big ideally, or a rim runner that can defend (similar to Rob). As I wrote in part 1, if we want to empower Tatum as a ball handler, the two odd men out are probably Kemba and TT.
For the Point Guard I'm looking for these attributes ideally: at least 6'3", above 60th percentile as a pick and roll ballhandler, above 38% on CnS threes (ideally over 40%), and at least 20% Ast% (percentage of their possessions that end in assists). Obviously it would be great if they were a good defender, but I don't watch any other teams with regularity, so I don't feel real comfortable evaluating the defense of other teams, if some of these guys can't guard a paper bag, then they probably aren't worthwhile.
Reasonable options
Scenario 1
Celtics Acquire Delon Wright from Sacramento for Tristian Thompson and 2 second round picks. Celtics Acquire Al Horford (and salary flotsam) from Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2023 first round pick (or two seconds, it depends on how OKC values Kemba and the additional 30ish million they'd be taking on) and Kemba Walker.

have a good one folks
Im already a great shooter and good ball handler i just wanna know if anyone has any shooting drills that can work at the same time as dribbling drills so i can work on both skills at the same time
Right now, I am known as the shooter of my team, and Iβm pretty good at it. But, I know shooting alone wonβt get me a scholarship at 6β0 right now. So what are some more advanced ballhandling drills and sets that I can practice to try to elevate my game?

If I make my PG a playmaking slasher, what should I make my height, weight and wing span?
Hi basketball fans of the reddits, I'm a tall 15 year old point guard who relies on hesitation dribbles, and my ability to protect the ball and pure speed to shoot jump shots or pull up in the lane. My biggest flaws are one, my lack of weight (I am only 130 lbs at 6 foot) and two my lack of explosion. I struggle at going from a standstill to full pace like penny, t-mac and grant hill (guys i have been emulating my game after). I want to know how i can explode like them of my hesitations. Currently im good enough for a sixth man kind of role, but I feel I have potential to be the man of my team (as I play in NZ so competition is weaker) I utilize hesitation moves because one day I stumble upon this prime example of penny hardaway's scoring ability https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyxcjbJP1z0and this is kind of how i play except i pull up for floaters instead of attacking the rim and i get up to speed by utilizing the fast break. Anyway feedback would be much appreciated.
