A list of puns related to "Backline"
No shame in admitting, I was ratting it with Kimpembe Marq Hakimi and Mendy + Dona for a brief period but switched to Theo Cozza Teze and Owusu + Bijlow and I'm enjoying this backline far more.
You see a ton of players do this, and I think we all probably started this way, filling a single transport to take to the front with nothing but rifles, and tearing off into the sunset.
If you want to make a larger impact on the war as an individual, stop trickling supplies to the front every 20-40 minutes, and start building up a Reserve Stockpile in your local seaport.
This way you can get a substantial supply together to take to the front all at once. That 1500 Bmats is nothing compared to the 30,000 you're bringing by ironship because you heard a large clan was starting a Build on the front-- or maybe you've stored 30 AT Half-tracks for when Med Tanks get teched.
Just because you're a Solo Player doesn't mean you can't make good, strategically pertinent deliveries that will make a tangible effect on the frontline.
Edit: So I see a lot of pushback on this and you're right: sometimes its fine to do single truck loads, but if you're doing that--You should be using Frontline refineries and factories, not backline refinery towns. I standby my points.
When I play characters like Rein or Orisa, I feel like my main job is to be either taking or holding space. But then, say, my healers get dove by a Ball or a Sombra. I can turn around to help, but that gives up space and lets the enemy frontline roll over us. Alternatively I can hold my ground, but with my healers distracted it's no surprise if I crumple in seconds. Is there a third option or some kind of happy medium that makes my team's jobs easier while letting me continue to do my own?
As a support you try to be as much out of fire sight to avoid getting killed. That place is most of the time in your teams backline where you have a clear view on your team and can support them easier. But what if your team is going in a push and suddenly a soldier or reaper comes behind you? Your team is focussed in front so you have to defend yourself. It is possible as support I know, although your team wil have no heals in a crucial push. What to do? Where to go?
Feels like it should be harder to take out your base cv. I mean why should the enemy know exactly what area you have to defend (control zone)? Would it be better just to have the control zone be like a rectangle along your backline? Is it just a l2p issue?
I am so happy with our backline at the moment and it inspires a hope in me that we are finally on the right track. We may have some bumps along the way but as long as we're able to avoid selling them I truly believe it's inevitable until we see better days. Starting from the back: Ramsdale: Unbelievable impact on the team. Spreads so much energy and urgency at such a young age and he demands space in his box which is something we've lacked severely in past keepers. His passion is unmatched. Bruh, his passing, wtf.
Tomiyasu: I fucking love him. He's not loud, he doesn't try flashy plays and he doesn't mind makings runs for the team all game long. I just read the translated post about Tomi and White which inspired me to write. He's our silent killer. I already know that left flanks of opponent teams will absolutely hate facing him. He's the player that doesn't let you go or give you an easy pass/cross. His personality/attitude is the epitome of what you want in a player. I really hope he stays here as long as possible. Fucking love this guy.
Gabriel: One of most talented young CB's in the world and we have him. His aerial threat has added another gun to the Arsenal and I love that he's of focal points in corners. He's quick, calm and will only get better. I'm quite impressed with his passing and reading of the game aswell. Our new kos.
White: This guy has suprised me the most in terms of what I expected. I don't really watch any other team that Arsenal(Champions league and international cups aswell) so I didn't really anything to go on but the 50mil price tag seemed steep. He's shown his quality and is doing everything he can do to "justify" the price tag. His passing is quality and he doesn't let little mistakes dictate the rest of his game, really good mental. Really good understanding with Gabriel. Really good at finding the "best" pass in terms of advancing the play in a way that doesn't pressure the receiver. I really like that our CB's aren't afraid of finding the "critical pass" between the lines.
Tierney: The one that started it all. Our absolute best signing in the last years. As soon as he started playing for us he showed the rest of the team how you are supposed to act when you play for Arsenal. That in tandem with all the love he got from supporters are huge factors in terms of team attitude and approach. When other players see that he's quickly becoming the favourite among fans they will emulate some of the things he does which are all
