Unfortunately he chewed on it so much that I can't say it's 2B or not 2B
So in Canberra people are picking their own mushrooms; which would be fine except for the rather hazardous Death Caps that seem to be plentiful right now. A local radio station asked their listeners whether hey thought mushroom sales at stores or restaurants would go down, and what people thought of the whole issue. With a decade of experience in hospitality I thought I'd call and while waiting to go on air, the presenters joked about calling up the head 'mushroom guy' for Australia and asking their opinion.
I go on air and assure them that no restaurant worth their salt would risk their name and business by buying mushrooms that weren't from an official farm. But just before They bid me farewell I said; "I hope you do get to talk to the head mushroom person, I bet he's a real Fungi".
There was silence followed by barely audible raucous laughter from what sounded like either outside their booth or over the intercom, I'm not sure. The presenters denied me an on air groan or laugh and just pretended like I had said nothing. But someone laughed... Someone...

Hot day in Australia. Was at a mates place with his family having a BBQ when his sister asked, "its so hot today, is the pool alright to jump in?"
he replied, "Yeah, but its still wet from this morning".
He proceeded to quietly chuckle to himself.
In Australia Fathers Day is on the 1st of September. It was a really nice day for Fathers Day where I live, the weather was perfect so this afternoon we were sitting outside in the sun in our backyard which faces a river. A boat went past and we could hear a big dinging noise going on and on, like something metal tied to a cord was flapping around in the wind and banging something else metal.
Dad pipes up, "God, if I was that guy in the boat and had to listen to that every time I took it out I'd go crazy! I'd probably even keel over!"
Happy Fathers day Dad :)
It was summer in Australia, and I was still in high school. One of the students asked our middle aged, male math teacher to turn on the air conditioner, as it was a stinker that day.
He responded by going over to the air conditioner and saying "oh yeah baby, do you like that?"
When I was 4 or 5 my family went on vacation. I took my favourite teddy bear, Blue Ted. I unfortunately left Blue Ted at the hotel or somewhere in the town we were staying at. My father when we got home brought me a new bear and called it Roo Ted. (Rooted meaning screwed or fucked in Australia) I did not catch on to the joke for many years and introduced my bear as rooted to everyone I met. My father to this day thinks this is the most hilarious joke/prank he has ever made.
